The 22nd Century Triple Trout Bluegill delivers a realistic bluegill imitation with its detailed finishes and life-like double-jointed action. Burn it back to the boat or swim it super slow, the Triple Trout Bluegill consistently runs straight and true like all 22nd Century Baits. Also equipped with not one, but two treble hooks, the 22nd Century Triple Trout Bluegill offers a much better hookup ratio than similar baits with only a single treble hook.
Upgrade Your Treble Hooks!
Comments: I finally fished one of these I've owned for about three years. Mostly, it sat in its box awaiting me getting to a place where bluegill are more prominent than rainbows in bass diets and habitat. I really only bought it because of my success and undying devotion to Triple Trout swimbaits. I did catch some decent largemouth with the top one going 4 lbs. if I could only fish one swimbait company it would be 22nd Century. Scott's baits work better than others that are more expensive, realistic looking, and varied in colors. It only takes a few months of patience to usually get them. Change the hooks and rings and don't worry about the few dollars it costs. You still a bait that works better than much more expensive options.

Comments: For the price this swim bait is it performs great.. an definitely catches fish. The hooks and swivels don't bend out on the bait after catching multiple fish. Only down fall of this bait is when the two treble hooks get caught on each other an takes away from the performance of the bait. This bait gives you a good bang for your buck!

Comments: Some of the replies below have me shaking my head. Talking about these look like a bait built in shop class or not looking lifelike. Really wondering if these people even fish swimbaits? This little bait catches them as well as any of the others mentioned. As far as details, the paint is better than a heck of a lot of other baits sold here. It's a jointed, sinking Swimbait. Not a glide bait. Of course it's going to wad up and fall on a retrieve. Just like the millions of sinking bull Shads and other jointed sinkers do. Speaking about details, the Bull Shad is the ugliest Swimbait on the market. But it's action catches bass. Same with this TT Gill. Only the gill looks better. That out of the way, this bait shines during the prespawn through postspawn season. I've caught much bigger bass burning this along shallow spawning flats than I have with other gill baits that can't stay down at high speeds. Throw this around those areas and burn it. I can work an area with a shallow crankbait and come back through with this little guy and pick up more. Then I'll hit the same area with a bigger gill bait like a Mattlures Magnum strong gill. One thing I do to these TT gills is swap out the hooks to #1 or Owner ST10. The hooks that come on the bait are just too small. This isn't a glide. A little extra weight doesn't hinder this lures ability to run true. And for those complaining about the hooks catching each other, just swap them out for short shanks. It's not that hard. And one last thing, don't hesitate to pitch this bait around vertical structure like docks and boat houses if you live on a lake with a healthy supply of bluegill or bream. It will pay off. Even in the summer. There's a reason they stay out of stock. And it's not because they suck.

Comments: Great bait! Catches bass all over the place. However it does swim better if you remove the rear treble hook. Then it wont fowl up that easily.

Comments: Don't have the looks but swims like a dream and catches fish. Great lure. Worth the money!

Comments: first off I LOVE my 6" & 8" triple trouts, they catch everything. However this bait,it has a nice action on the retrieve but as soon as u kill it it turns to crap,it folds up and looks like shat on the drop. Just a jointed bait all bunched and folded up on the bottom of the water, absolutely no true life like action on the fall when u stop it, go check out the southern swimbait video of it and ull see what I mean. But don't get me wrong I am a fan of triple trout just not this gill version. If you want a gill bait or a swimbait in general that looks amazing both during the swim and when u kill it check into the roman maxes or the new bettencourt dying gills. This to me I don't like at all I traded mine for regular triple trouts. And agree with the detail on this is,looks like something you make in jr. High wood shop class lol. From: Brenn
Comments: if you own one of these awesome baits better keep it because you dont buy them easy fish catcher and the value of the bait never drops if u want to sell it later very good investmentFrom: rive-rrat: GA
Comments: Got this lure from the BassCollege! Tried it and cant wait to buy more! From: Tyler: Timonium, MD
Comments: I have to agree, this bait truly lacks the detail,it swims good, but this is something I can make with a bandsaw and sander for a lot less then $65,ill stick with tylures bluegill swimbaits, half the price and 100x's the detail.

Comments: My Nate's swimbaits all have chips from the segments clacking together when I burn them over grass beds. They are decent but far from 'bomb proof.' This gill is at least as durable as anything from Nate.
From: David: Austin, TX
Comments: im calling b.s on lake rat...nates baits are made from a nearly bombproof composite like cl8 baits and jsj swimbaits.i think ur nose is growing lake rat. From: ham: deep south
Comments: this little bait is a flat out fish catcher and unlike other baits they don't break and last a life time made a lot better than anything made by natesbait I've boken everything nate makes there cheap baits
From: Lake Rat: Castaic, CA
Comments: this is a quality swimbait don't get me wrong...but..its along the same lines to me as a nates baits bluegill, except the nates baits gill is a little cheaper and looks a whole lot better (like a real gill-sunfish)unlike the 22nd that just looks like a swimmming fish shape, face it this lure has no detail to it,that's why I choose my nates bait gill over this, check em out.
