Overview

The Acme Tackle Kastmasters have been putting fish in the boat for years. From black bass to pan fish and stripers to salmon, a wide range of fish species have fallen victim to the Kastmaster. The secret is in the wild, erratic action they create, flickering and flashing through the water like an injured or frightened baitfish. Their balanced, aerodynamic design also helps eliminate line twist on the retrieve, and makes them great long distance casters.

Extremely versatile as well, you can vertical jig them for suspended bass and bass on ledges, and they also work great as a substitute for a crank or spinnerbait when it is too windy to throw one. Machined from solid brass, the super durable Acme Tackle Kastmasters won’t break, bend or corrode either - even after repeated exposure to saltwater. Available in a range of colors and sizes, the Acme Tackle Kastmasters have been catching fish for years.

HEY NON-BOATERS!If you find yourself fishing dead water while your boater is scanning for fish, you can throw this thing a mile and fish it 7,912 different ways. Yes, you may lose some, but when your boater points to the side of the boat and says "cast 60 yards that way!" you have something that you can do that with. Just sayin.

Comments: Fishing this spoon in grass is awesome ! I use the 3/4oz or 1 oz size with a weedless wacky style single hook. In & out of cover using a "ripping" yoyo motion with the rod works best. Swimming it under the surface of the water just above the top of grass is also excellent. Add a swivel to the front line tie split ring to reduce twist and this spoon will catch anything that swims. Tight Lines !

Comments: I have owned these Kastmaster jigging spoons for probably 25+ years. I have caught black/white bass species and trout on these lures in cold water conditions when no other lure in my tackle would produce. Simple, effective, and easy to throw on bait casting and spinning equipment. One suggestion. Install a small #7 or #8 barrel swivel to the split ring to reduce line twist. The barrel swivel won't affect the lure's performance.

Comments: There's a small lake in Washington that is full of monster lahonton cut throat trout. After thousands of casts and countless miles of trolling with every lure imaginable I finally tried a kastmaster and hooked up to my first lahonton. Since then I've figured out the proper colors and presentation and have been catching 5+ pound trout nearly every trip to that lake with these lures. I've got about every color and size kastmaster there is, I love these things.

Comments: I have 6 or 7 kastmasters in different colors and sizes. I think the flash and erratic swimming motion just drives fish nuts, not to me to mention the versatility of the lure as it casts easy even into the wind. My only issue is snapping them of on a cast and snagging them on a log or in a tree.

Comments: I have several of these lures, in various weights. They work well for schooling fish, but I suggest switching out the treble for a higher quality, sharper hook. Great value, and the smaller models work well for pan fish!

From: John: Knoxville, TN 2/4/16

Comments: I purchased a Kastmaster 1 OZ chrome to pair with a Super Fluke to fish heavy grass/cover, worked great but I noticed that the heavier lure did not come with a split ring on the line tying end of the lure. This resulted in the loss of the lure after a hour or two of fishing. I noticed the lighter lures did come with a split ring. A warning to those buying the heavier weight lures, make sure you invest in the swivel ring. Losing a expensive lure on the cast is not a nice thing to experience.

Comments: Sweet lure amazing action and works on all kinds of fish caught a pike on my first time using it. It is also super cheap worth every penny and then some.

From: Jack: IL 2/23/15

Comments: Best ice fishing lure there is for panfish in my opinion! I do change the hooks to a wider gap light wire.
