Designed to draw big bites by Bass Master Classic and MLF Bass Pro Tour Champion, Edwin Evers, the Berkley Powerbait Agent E Swimbait relies on killer action and a proven scent formula to tempt tournament-winning bass. The Agent E is built tough with flavor-packed PowerBait material that is designed to stand up to the countless strikes it is sure to generate. In addition to the PowerBait flavor, it utilizes a subtle, yet hard-kicking action that demands attention from predators in the area even with the slowest of retrieves.
The Berkley Powerbait Agent E Swimbait boosts performance to the next level with a custom-designed fluorocarbon hook-guard that expertly sheds grass and debris for all-terrain performance, yet easily collapses so you never miss a bite. This bottom-dwelling, flat-bottom swimbait boasts an ultra-low center of gravity and internal weight system that makes it an ideal option for slowly combing the bottoms of your lakes and rivers. A built-in ‘hard-nose’ rattle generates an acoustic layer of attraction every time it collides with structure to further enhance its effectiveness around cover. Swim it, hop it, or crawl it along the bottom, there’s no wrong way to fish the incredibly effective and highly versatile Berkley Powerbait Agent E Swimbait.

Comments: Great little jig style swimbait. In my experience the hookup is better on these than my dark sleepers although I don't lose many fish on the sleeper either. With the Agent E it not uncommon to land every fish I hook on a trip. I trim the guard to where it only covers the hook like another reviewer said and it doesn't hurt the weedless aspect and improves hook up even more. Big fan of the fusion hook and the gap this hook has vs the dark sleeper. Dark sleeper is still a killer bait but this one usually gets tied on for me instead because it works just as well if not better and is a little easier on the wallet. Plus I've always been a powerbait scent fan so that's a bonus. Tight lines every one

Comments: Used the Goby color on the 3/4 ounce and used a drag-hop-swim action and the bass absolutely crushed it, but as the other reviews said, the bait pops out of their mouth easily or doesn't hook them at all. Good bait, would give it a 7.2/10

Comments: Great looking bait, but lose a lot of good ones. I started with the 1/2oz. and lost several so I switched over to the 1oz. with the larger hook and that seemed to help some, but I was still losin' 'em. I then completely cut off the weed guard but that didn't help much - they still just swim up and spit that sucker right out. I bent the hook out and that help a little. Now I'm gonna practice another hookset I guess...

Comments: Used the 1/2 ounce version on Table Rock this past week, and it gets CRUSHED. However, I lost two fish 20-30 seconds after hooking them, and my only guess is the hoop weedguard helped "pop" the hook free when they shook the bait after coming to the surface. After losing those two, I trimmed the weedguard down to where there was only the bit in front of the hook, similar to a standard jig/weedguard. I also swapped it over to a rod with a slightly faster tip, but still some good backbone. Those two changes completely resolved the "lost fish" problem. Otherwise, outstanding bait and I will absolutely be buying more of these. Pitches tight to cover easier than a normal swimbait, rattles, and doesn't get wedged in rocks as easily as standard swim heads.

Comments: Very good open water bait, more exposed hook with a greater bite gap between body of the bait and the hook point makes hookups much better than the Dark Sleeper. No doubt it is less weedless, but fishing hard bottom it's just good enough. Goby colour has done damage on deep smallmouth in cold water.

Comments: Using a drag, drag, slow hop in the back of a slough yesterday, it convinced a 4lber and a 3 lber to inhale it. Don't fish the Agent E like a swimbait. It's not. Fish it like a jig.
