Designed and tested by two-time Bassmaster Classic Champion, Jordan Lee, the Berkley Powerbait Champ Swimmer Swimbait provides a lifelike swimming action and an ultra-realistic look that is second-to-none. Molded with a baitfish inspired body shape and a large paddle tail, the Berkley Powerbait Champ Swimmer Swimbait displaces a tremendous amount of water and produces a hard thumping tail action, which creates the illusion of a baitfish in distress to trigger an aggressive predatory response from fish.
Built to target all sections of the water column, the Berkley Powerbait Champ Swimmer Swimbait features a flat back that is great for hiding hook points when using a screw-lock style hook for weedless rigging. It also features a solid head to increase durability when using a jighead for offshore and open water applications. Finished with a heavy dose of Powerbait scent and flavor, the Berkley Powerbait Champ Swimmer Swimbait help you put bigger fish in the boat and cash even bigger checks.

Comments: This is by far one of the best swimbaits I've tried to date! I purchased the 4.6" version in HD gizzard. The HD color patterns are amazing. I have 11 fish on one bait so far and only one eye has rubbed off. And some of these fish had been big peacocks down in Miami too! I highly recommend an Owner beast hook in 4/0 1/8oz size for the 4.6" version. It's perfect for the bait and gives it a really tight and straight action on the retrieve.

Comments: Recently purchased the HD Yellow Perch, and out of the brand new package I noticed one of the eye looked faded, flipped it over and even worse, the HD print was coming off. You can easily rub the HD print with your thumb without any effort. Pretty bummed about that, because it's a great looking lure, the plastic feels good but that print needs to be more durable. I wish this site would allow posting pics in the reviews. Check my review on Berkley's site and you can see the pics there...that is, if they post and honest review. Take care.

Comments: Bought the yellow perch locally this winter and finally had a chance to try one out on the Columbia River after all the virus prohibitions on fishing. Put one on a swimbait hook, WOW! Smallmouth bass were just destroying it. 2 lb to 3 lb fish had the bait clear down their gullet, I mean, way down, almost gut hooked. Unbelievable that the fish were engulfing the bait when other baits, spinnerbaits, small swimbaits, etc, were not even getting a second look. Can't wait to try the bluegill color. Problem is, every retailer is back ordering these two colors. Tournaments are opening up. These baits may be the key to a very successful season on the water. Hope Berkley gets their act in gear soon.

Comments: This is a brilliant bait. I was fishing in springtime in South Africa and catching small males. I put this bait on the fishes the shallow water with it and caught several large females. They absolutely smashed the bait. Great action, versatile and easy to cast! A must have bait! Well done Berkley and Jordan!
