Comments: I live in Florida and I fish relatively shallow water, most of which is less than 7ft. The 70SS fills this niche left by other Spinbaits/Spybaits nicely. By starting my retrieve quickly and varying the angle of my Rod I can effectively fish as shallow as 2ft. Berkley one upped the competition by adding a Washer in front and behind each Prop. This allows the Props to stay in a more vertical position and allows them to turn freely at extremely slow speeds. I have caught almost every species that swims in the water I fish even a large turtle. The quality is excellent, the price is very fair. I would like to see more natural colors. I have never been a diehard Berkley fan but they have a winner with the 70SS.

Comments: This is a nice bait that I just recently bought in addition to go with my DUO spybaits. I like that the slow sinking version of these are great for fishing shallower water. The only downside I found is that you have to reel it super slowly, even slower than the DUO to keep the rocking action. It requires much more specific speed control. I like that if offers a couple of different colors than others as well. Overall it is a fish catcher and I like the bait.
