Featuring the same great profile and body shape of the other Rojas signature shapes, the Big Bite Cane Thumper features a detailed head with large ribs on the bottom, as well as, hook pockets on the top, bottom and sides. Bassmaster Elite Series pro, Dean Rojas spent the better part of a year working with Big Bite Baits to get the Cane Thumper just right. Its paddle tail and soft plastic formulation allow you to work it slow or fast depending on what the conditions dictate, and its hook pockets mean the hook has very little plastic to penetrate on hook sets. Available in a variety of colors, the Big Bite Bait Cane Thumper is a great choice on a weighted or non-weighted swimbait hook, Texas-rigged, or as a swim jig trailer.
Comments: Used them once wasn't impressed, i just found out where they shined for me. threw one on a light finesse head and caught my first December bass ever... at 5lbs 10oz in Washington state. Got 7 bites that day in 3 hrs. Switched to a dark sleeper nothing drug a jig with a compact beaver style trailer nothing. Switched back to the 3.5 cane thumper consistent bites dragging it on the bottom slowly.

Comments: Flat out catches fish. Paired with an Owner Flashy Swimmer you can't go wrong. Very durable compared to other swim baits. Hook slots are great for weedless and guarantee a good hook set. Favorite color, Chick Magnet.

Comments: I never could catch anything with swimbaits, almost gave up on them, but then I bought a bag of these babies. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but my wife and I have both done very well with these. Best addition to my box this year, hands down. I have 4 or 5 colors and all 3 sizes, but the 4.25 in chick magnet has out-caught all the rest combined (by a mile), and you'd be hard pressed to catch me without one tied on. I'm throwing them on weighted hooks, mostly straight/steady retrieve, in pretty clear water. They work.

Comments: I pair the 5" cane thumper (Watermelon Red) with a 5/0 Owner flashy swimmer ( Gold Colorado blade). The combination is hard to beat. It catches fish everywhere. From: Unknown: 1/26/21
Comments: Every single one was bent and kinked in the tail, I will see if I can boil them or use them as they are but IMO the gambler big ez is better. From: Ryan: Texas 1/17/21
Comments: The smoky ghost color I have glows in the dark, but I don't know if that's true for every color. If it is, definitely look into night fishing with these bad boys, they kill emFrom: Unknown: 1/13/20
Comments: I have been using the cane thumper as a trailer for my chatterbaits and it has out performed everything else I've tried. It also has an awesome selection of colors!
From: Mark: Vivian 9/17/19
Comments: These are my go to baits for chatterbait trailer. And also fish them on belly weighted swimbait hooks in the grass down in Florida. Great colors and the baits hold up well.
From: Kyle: FL 8/30/19
Comments: The 3.5" bait is awesome for catching smallmouth. I rig it on a darter head or jig head. In the summer time I use it as a finesse bait for largemouth bass. I use a darter head with an offset hook so I can fish it weedless. Hematoma is my favorite color. I like this bait because the paddle tail will wiggle on the drop which is where I get my most bites.
From: William: Brentwood, CA 5/26/19
Comments: The BB cane thumper is the absolute best swim jig or chatterbait trailer on the market. The 4.25' is the perfect size no need for shortening or trimming. Try the color shad for an awesome shad imitation
From: Matt baty: Bainbridge Ga 4/28/19
Comments: I fish from the shore in shallow, weedy areas. I find that at the right speed these ride over the spongy stuff on the bottom quite well with a texas rig. I use a big 5/0 heavy wire hook which you can clearly see rides under the bait. I use no other weight. There are hook slots along all four sides, so I find that if one side gets mangled I can just turn it over and use it on its side. The large size is too big for my purposes. It's a bit too heavy for a medium rod. Little success with multiple colors except Easy Money. Never saw anything like it. The bass in my several fishing spot love that one. The water in those lakes is a little stained.

Comments: These cane thumpers tied up to the Big Bite Pill Jigs are a deadly combination for walleyes in the spring. Just match the color and size of the cane thumpers to the baitfish the walleyes are eating on your body of water and put it on a jig size that meets your needs. This combination produces big fish in rivers and lakes. Good luck on the water and be safe.

Comments: Hands down my favorite trailer on the market, i got this in my mystery tackle box and loved them ever since. I love putting them on chatterbaits/spinnerbaits but i also love Texas rigging them and swimming them next to and/or over grass.
From: Charles: Texas 4/4/18
Comments: As bait in the smaller size is a great bait for your money what are the best your ability buzz great action and the hook up rates almost hundred percent I've got numerous bass and even Splake on this lure
From: Unknown 11/9/17
Comments: All I have to say is these Baits have terrible action, the zoom swimmin super fluke has much better action and catches more fish. I'm disappointed.
From: Unknown 3/17/17
Comments: Use this almost every where I go, it just catches fish. I've fished it in clear water on the main lake and stained creek water, weed less over lily pads or through thick grass. 10/10 for big bait bites
From: Colby: Houston, TX 5/31/16
Comments: Also noted a lack of durability but found that if I hook it through the sides I can add like to the bait. great for skipping under docks as well as over grass.
From: Wayne: TX 5/23/16
Comments: For starters this baits get a lot of bites. I've got them rigged on the back of a Z Man Custom Chatterbait and the fish can't resist em. The durability is surely lacking though. Lucky to get three bites out of them. All and all I can't argue with the amount of fish they catch so I can live with it.
From: Kevin: NC 6/15/15
Comments: I use this bait in 5" version on a heavy 5/0 hook (super line EWG), and buzzing it on top of heavy vegetation... BOOOOMMM!! BIG ONE! When I go fishing in heavy covered waters early and late summer, these baits are in first place in my bag, just near the GAMBLER cane toads !!!
From: Fab: France 10/10/14
Comments: I actually bought the baits and some of them had bent up tails so I boiled the baits and softened them up. Took them out the next morning on the a-rig and caught several nice spotted bass in 49 degree water. Not sure whether the boiling of the baits helped the action, but it obviously didn't hurt haha maybe give boiling the baits a try. Great bait!
From: Philip: Birmingham, AL
Comments: Incredible bait! My go-to bait when nothing else seems to bite, which is especially important here on the Mississippi when the flood waters have a negative effect on the fishing. And when the fish ARE biting, I get a bite (if not a fish) every other cast!
From: Chris: WI
Comments: I killed spotted bass up in alabama on these and i kill largemouth on em they cant stand em so they gotta eat them!!!!
From: Robbie: FL
Comments: This bait has caught me 11 bass over 7lbs great job big bite baits!
From: Cody: Florida, USA
Comments: Its a little smaller than the havoc- grss pig. its got better action in my opinion. id choose this over the grass pig everytime.
Comments: Good bait. Lousy durability. 1 hookset and it's done. Not a big fan of the large slot on top either. Makes it hard to Texpose.
From: Ken: IL, USA
Comments: Rigged with a scrounger head it can't be beat. GREAT swimming action that big fish can't resist!!! I have several bags on the front deck of my boat at all times.
From: Jeff: Harrisonburg, VA
Comments: Great bait. Have had tons of success in ponds.
From: Reed: Texas, USA
Comments: This bait will keep your rod bent! It has been a hot pre-spawn bait.
