Overview

Combining the best features of both a buzzing frog and a hollow body frog, the Blitz Lures Buzz Phrog produces an incredible fish attracting sound and action. Crafted with a classic hollow body, the Blitz Lures Buzz Phrog features two durable plastic paddle legs, which allows you to reel it across the surface and create a buzzing style action or you can slow down and work it through thick cover just like you would with a traditional hollow body frog.

Designed with a precise weighting, the Blitz Lures Buzz Frog delivers increased casting and lands upright on its belly every time, so you can make the most out of every single cast. Armed with two extremely sharp VMC hooks, the Blitz Lures Buzz Phrog delivers a hybrid construction that can do it all.

Not Perfect but still goodLanded me tons of bass and very durable. Takes on some water if you let it sit a long time but nothing crazy. A lure is only as good as the one using it.

not goodwanted to like this frog but i cant, only plus is the customer service, the first bite i get from a 8 " bass ripped the legs off and they sent me a new one, since then the legs have been okay, the frog does get bit but i cannot hook them, the hooks get buried into the sides of the frog i think this could be the problem also the frog rolls which could be helping to, i got 2 more still in the package gonna keep trying i guess but i am currently looking for alternatives.

Comments: Couldn't wait for my order of Buzz Phrog Frogs to get here so I could tie one on and head to the local lake, since we are right in the middle of froggin season. They did not disappoint. Had 4 blow ups in the first 100 yards I fished. Although the forth one stole my legs. After I got home I sent a quick email to Terry and he replied within a day saying he was going to send me a new Phrog. Talk about great customer service. I will be placing another order soon for sure. You can never have too much tackle!!!

Comments: This frog flat out gets bit, HOWEVER, the stock hook is too light for those of us that fish heavy cover with 65lb braid. I lost the very first fish I hooked on this bait only to see one of the hooks bent out when I brought it back in. Hookup to bite ratio is also not great, as the hook lays flat with the head of the frog resulting in missed hookups or lost fish that are skin hooked - but on the flip side makes it very weedless over mats. Replaced the stock hook with a koppers live target frog hook and improved the hookup ratio greatly, but if it lands upside down points are exposed. Great concept, but needs some refinement and a more stout hook!

Comments: I had been looking for an alternative to a Teckel Sprinker frog and tried this one out. It has easily met all of my requirements. The hook up ratio is way much better than the Teckel frog. The hooks are solid.  I have not had any issues with durability at all.  I have the black and white and they have been calling up lunkers! Very happy with this bait!

Comments: The Blitz Buzz Phrog is one of the BEST frogs I've ever used. I've caught several big bass on it. Some say it's not durable but the only problem I had from it was the weight fell out, but after a little super glue it was game on! I've never had a problem with the legs coming off, but remember with frog fishing you have to wait a second or two before you set the hook. I learned that the hard way. In fact my braided line wore out before my frog did. Black is the way to go for me.

FROM BLITZ LURES: Hi, we have had some customers that have had the legs pulled out on short strikes and if you have had this happen please contact me (Terry Vance) at sales@blitzlures.com. We will send you out a replacement.

We have made the legs a little harder and now gluing them in the leg socket. I want to make sure customers are 100% satisfied.

Comments: Great Frog. I used to make this exact frog myself with "ribbit" legs and old used up Live Target frogs which worked great but this is a slight improvement over that. Super Glue the legs. I'm a bit surprised that isn't common sense to people who've fished for a long time but apparently it's not based on the comments. Be proactive. Every lure doesn't come out of the package perfect. The same people complaining about legs falling off would be the ones complaining if it cost $20 yet they expect perfection at the same price as every frog. Be realistic, not negative.

Comments: Good plopping action that gets bit. Casts well. Only problem is it occasionally gets leaves or stems on the hooks from thick mats. But its performance even then is decent. Hooks sometimes poke the body and it does take on a little water, but not enough to be a big problem. Hookup rate is good. Overall a B+ or A- as a buzzing frog.

From: Tyler: Grand Junction, CO 7/27/19

Comments: If y'all having troubles with short strikes and frog legs getting torn up add a lake fork tackle frog stinger hook. problem solved. These are decent frogs. They do take on water fast. So..... after purchasing new hollow body frogs I use non expanding "clear" Gorilla glue and seal off all water prone joints on the frog example: legs/skirts, hook eye, under belly of frog where hook comes out). The glue will not eat the rubber frog material. If done correctly the frog should be 100% water tight. Just use enough glue to seal the holes/gaps. I do this to all my "new" frogs of any kind or make before they hit the water. Haven't had a problem yet.

Comments: Field tested on two fishing trips. Like the fact of a hollow body frog with the hook already in the body and the actions of the legs. However, the hooks get stuck in the body of the frog. The hook pulled out of the body on the first fish caught and the weight came off. I plan to buy one more and try it. Improvements need to be made though I believe. Thanks.

From: Golden Graham: Georgia 9/26/18

Comments: Not impressed. Fills with water after a cast or two, causing it to sink legs first. So if you are not into "cast, retrieve, squeeze", try a different brand.

From: Jason: VA 7/15/18

Comments: These frogs are amazing I love the sound they put off and the way it comes through thick cover. Also I caught the big bass of the B.A.S.S. Eastern regional on the co angler side on this frog and finished 4th in the tournament with this frog!

From: Travis: Mcgaheysvile, VA 6/26/18

Comments: I gave the Buzz frog a shot because I am a top water and frogging junkie, as advertised great sound from those kicking legs. only 2-issues I've found with this frog 1. it fills with water fast 2. the body of the frog gets stuck on the hooks. this could be because of the water issue. looks good, sounds great.

From: Kevin - Oklahoma 6/15/18

Comments: Bought one of these not to long ago and love it. Super soft frog with great paddle foot action. Makes my life easier now that I don't have to replace my soft plastic ribbit and top toad frogs after so many fish

From: Zachary - Dexter, MO

Comments: The softest phrog I've ever used !  takes just under 3.5oz  to collapse and expose the hooksWhich when compared to other similar brands is less then half, maximize your hook up ratio and Use blitz phrog a you'll happy you did!!!!

From: Chris: Florida 5/21/18

Comments: First blow up resulted in a torn off leg. The bait has potential but I wish I could replace the tail when this sort of thing happens. The hooks are a tad light as well as the body being a tad soft. Makes for annoying brush snagging issues.

From: Kevin: Murrieta, CA 5/11/18

Comments: Got the black rattler, nice and soft material, hooks are not completely flush with the body meaning they stick up just a tiny bit above the plastic which is great for hookup ratio and still maintains is weedless abilities. I would recommend

From: Matt: Fl 5/10/18

Comments: This frog gets bit, but they need to make the legs out of a different material. My second fish short stuck it, getting only the legs. They ripped right out of the lure basically making it useless. Yet another example of great idea poor execution.

From: Richard: Tampa, FL 5/7/18

Comments: They sound great although I can't say I'm impressed with their durability. First blow up resulted in one of the legs being ripped off. So I tied up another and the lead belly weight fell out while fishing. The hooks are sharp but are bent too far inward and need to be bent out a bit. This bait is close but still not ready for prime time.

From: Unknown - California 5/5/18

Comments: These frogs are amazing, I was super impressed with the sound they put off on the retrieve.
