Comments: Really great rod for the price, I use it with a baitcaster and a spinning reel and love both of them. I also love the design and it holds up really well for only 50 bucks.

Comments: 8-month update. Really like the rod. Unfortunately while bank fishing I used the ML to "horse" a 1 lb bass on the bank. Rod snapped 3 guides down. I will probably order another one because it is sensitive and I really liked it but the 6lb test didn't break--the rod did.

Comments: This rod is well built for its price. I've used it for about a year and all I can say are good things. I've snapped it twice but that was my fault. I bought the 7' medium light and it's an amazing Ned rig rod if your getting into it. I've felt some good rods before but the arid has the sensitivity of a $150 dollar rod. Overall great rod for a beginner.

Comments: Had this rod for over a year and I am really surprised about the durability and the sensitivity. I've put the rod threw everything and is still running like its brand new. I would recommend this rod to anyone that is thinking about buying a spinning rod.

Comments: This rod is alright, does not impress me but also does not disappoint, it works well but has some standout issues, like the limited model options, does not come in some very sought after lengths but comes in the essentials which is what matters, also the rod is very much a through action and bends well through the 1st guide, which is also not bad but also not great, it has good sensitivity due to the exposed blank reel seat and build quality for the price, daiwa still hasn't made a bad product yet but this is certainly not their best, but for 50 dollars, its nice. definitely a good option but id just save a little more money for a nicer stick, especially for spinning.

Comments: Purchased 4 of these Daiwa Aird X spinning rods in December 2019. Within 1 year, by December 2020, two rods had eyelets fall off and one eyelet had the guide inserts come out of the retaining ring and one pole kept having the reel seat loosen up every 10 casts and was very irritating. The poles are sensitive and a good value, but they are made cheaply and would not buy again unless you want a cheap back up pole. I do not recommend this as a daily use pole.

Comments:I own the 6'6 medium heavy and fish with it quite a bit in MN. I am overall pleased, however the rod does not attach to my Daiwa Legalis 4000 very well. I think my reel is a little big, but it is something to consider. It is not very difficult but I have to tighten it often. I have used it 2 seasons and would give it a 4/5.

Comments:I purchased the ML and I love it. Very sensitive, can use it for all finesse fishing applications...which is why I got it.

Comments:I'm very happy with my purchase, this rod is sensitive and performs great. I Just landed a 8.25 lb largie! Just remember the rating on them is high. The medium heavy isn't quite a medium heavy but is bigger than a medium.

Comments:I've always been a baitcasting guy. Decided to do more finesse fishing so I got me a spin set-up. Paired this with a Pflueger President reel. First trip out I caught a 5 lb bass on a wacky rig and an 8 lb bass the second trip. Rod is super sensitive. Felt the slight tap as the worm was sinking. Highly recommended this rod for anyone but especially people like me that are new to spinning gear.

Comments:I would recommend these rods to anyone. Especially to any younger anglers, on a budget anglers, or anglers taking kids or newcomers out. I purchased one 7'0 MH just to see if the reviews I've read are accurate and it hasn't disappointed me at all. The rod for 54.99 is very well built and actually surpassed my expectations in sensitivity and feel, not to mention has seemed to hold up very well to being on my kayak and sort of treated rough by my standards. Next season I will be trying the casting model and hope to be able to leave a similar review. I used this MH to fish just about any technique from fluke/senko/trick worm, shakey head or finesse jig, top water or moving baits. It did all pretty well.

Comments:Daiwa Aird rods are a stupid great deal - seriously these rods are amazing for only $50 .. they do have a tad more parobolic bend compared to most - so I definitely recommend the M/H .. very nice aesthetics . Very well made - a great work horse rod that you can kick around if need be and not worry about it .. awesome rods .. not a rod I would buy many of .. but great rods to give to those on Your boat that did not bring their own . How they sell these nice rods for such a low price is a gift from Daiwa

Comments:I was very pleased with this rod when I received it recently. If you have never purchased a rod online you'll be just as happy. It comes in a very sturdy thick tube and very well protected from the dangers of shipping. Once you get it out of the package you will feel the quality before even fishing with it. Straight as an arrow, great flexibility, and I have already caught some nice east coast bass on it and it handles fish very well. If you are looking for a high quality rod and not trying to break the bank, this is a great option for you. Got it in 7' medium heavy and use it for crankbaits and chatter baits mostly. Very well put together product and I will surely be purchasing another one soon. Thanks Diawa for a quality product for us guys who can't drop crazy bills on rods.

Comments: VERY impressed with this rod. First; the price is dirt cheap for the quality you get with this rod. But more importantly is the sensitivity of this rod. Went out yesterday with the 7-0" ML rod rigged up with a Ned Rig (1/16 oz. Mushroom Head). It was very windy which makes it tough to fish such a light bait. I had a huge bow in my line from the wind but every time a fish hit the bait I could feel the tap in the rod; absolutely amazing for a rod that costs $55. I have to say it looks pretty cool out in the sunlight as well. I own three of these rods now and love them. The ONLY thing I do not like is the location of the hook keeper on the spinning version; it's actually behind the handle; I would much prefer it to be in front of the reel like most other brands. But for the quality of this rod I am willing to live with that. If you are looking for a Ned Rig rod; the 7-0 ML is PERFECT!

Comments: This rod is absolutely amazing. Feels like a $100 rod. i bought it with the Daiwa RG spinning reel which makes a perfect finesse combo. i use shakey heads, drop shots, tubes, and wacky rigs all on this medium light rod. 10/10 would recommend if your looking for a good cheap rod.

Comments: I think this is an incredible spinning rod for the price. I own three of them. I throw all my lighter stuff on these rods...small shaky heads, drop shot etc. I pair them up with the revros from Daiwa and couldnt be more pleased with both products.

Comments:Love this rod, had the older version Daiwa Aird 701mxs lasted me forever but I had to slam the door on it and well yeah, replaced it with this model and it is worth every penny. Sensitive tip very light and cast a mile, I have my finesse set up on this rod with a legalis 2500.
From: Oscar: East Palo Alto, Ca 5/8/17
Comments:Bought this rod for finesse worms and general light tackle and I was supersized how sensitive this rod is. I have this paired with a Daiwa Revros 2500 series spinning reel and it's an awesome combo, it cast a mile even with a little 1/4oz ned rig set up using 15lb braid tied to a 6lb florocarbo leader. This is my drop shot/MOJO/Ned rig rod and so far I love it. This is just as sensitive as my 99.00 Fenwick HMG rod.

Comments:Rod is light, sensitive, has good tip/backbone. Only knock is the grip/seat. Holds up fine its just a little awkward in your hand. Takes a little getting used to but overall good rod.
