Perfect for casting or spinning applications, Daiwa J-Braid Braided Line in chartreuse is a great choice for applications where you need to keep an eye on your line at all times.
Comments: Had nothing but problems with this line. I'm big on hi-vis braid for my finesse set ups and have always used Power Pro. Decided to give this stuff a try and so I spooled up 3 rods w 10lb (same as I would Power Pro). Tons of frays and eventual line breakage and I don't even throw it around structure very much. Back to Power Pro for me.

Comments: This is 8 carrier line, there's no reason to be using it in 20+ lb (much less 50) to flip or punch. Use 4 carrier for that application. So I picked up some 15lb and used it for a good year on spinning setups. Everything works great. Biggest plus is its held its color VERY well, which is extremely hard to find. For the price, this stuff is amazing... 5 stars!

Comments: This is my go-to, I've used 15, 20, 30, 40, and 50lbs tests, finesse, heavy jigs, swimbaits, inshore, offshore, live bait, bass, catfish, pompano, redfish, king mackerels, sharks (the list goes on) fresh, and saltwater with no issues. Never had knots break or wind knots. I use uni-knots 7 or so turns or if I connect a leader I'll use an Albright or FG knot. I've had this on some of my reels from the day this line came out and it's still in great condition. This is a smooth line so for applications where you need a line to saw through mats or other vegetation try a 4 carrier braid or I like the 65lbs power pro V2, it is rougher than this and cuts through vegetation easier. I use all the other brands so I'm not saying other braids aren't good but for the price it can't be beat. From: Mike: Georgia 2/1/20
Comments: I bought 65# J-Braid after frustrations with Powerpro for my frog rods. The J-Braid cast so much better than other braids I have used. I have not had any problems with knots. I always tie palomar knots on the terminal end.

Comments: This braid is very smooth, to some that is a con to others that is a pro. I have no experienced any failures with the braid. People who are complaining of wind knots or whatever might want to find a braid that is not so smooth or go up in test LB to increase line diameter. In my opinion after using PowerPro/Power Pro Superslick, Fins Windtamer, Sufix 832, Kastking Kastpro/Super Power. This line is one of the better ones.

Comments: Don't use this braid if you have a white reel. Have a 13 fishing origin c reel and the line dyed my reel green from the line getting wet. Luckily a magic eraser will clean the reel but not the hard to get to places around the spool. Also had the line break easily and lost a few lures with the 30lb braid.

Comments: I love this line. Silky smooth, silently sails through guides, excellent knot strength, doesn't fray, holds its color, relatively inexpensive. I've had no trouble at all with either color using 15, 30, 40 & 65# on baitcasters.
From: Tony: Oklahoma City, OK 4/15/18
Comments: I have been using j-braid for a couple of years now and it's the best braid I've found. It's better than power pro and suffix easily. Sooooo smooth! I use the 50# on my daiwa aird coastal inshore and I'll never use anything different except the x4 as well. My double uni knots to connect leader never fail. If you're absolutely trying to find a fault the only thing I can tell you is it bleeds a little color over time. Fairly inexpensive for good braid as well. Also use the dark green in 50 and 65 for freshwater and have no complaints.

Comments: I have been using this braid from 8lb-65lb. Small spinning reels, 51, 151, 201 sized baitcasters, Trinidad 12-16's and Talicas...no problems from this line. I punch, frog, and throw t-rigged plastics into the nastiest trees, hydrilla mats, and boats docks with the 50lb and have not had any problems at all with any line wrapping around my rod tips. Use the 15-30lb on 51, 151, 201 baitcasters without problems and especially nice for chuck and wind techniques with the smooth feel. Ties knots as well as all other braids Ive used, and The color fades just the same. If anyone has problems breaking any decent braid above 10lb, I would be checking guides for cracks...or using too heavy of a weight for application.

Comments: Casts very well with a spinning reel and is quite manageable. I used the eight-pound test and will get some more when I need it. Casting distance was excellent, and visibility was decent too. I don't understand any of the poor reviews. They are the complete opposite of my experience.
From: Dave: 2/19/17
Comments: There's absolutely nothing wrong with this line. Smoothest braid I've used. Great knot strength to boot. Others are getting knots due to using too heavy a line to too light a lure. Just simple physics. I wouldn't trade it for PP that's for sure!
From: Xero: Portland, TX 12/29/16
Comments: I love 15 pound for my main line when fishing a dropshot. It's very smooth & slips through the guides well. I will definitely be buying some more
From: Colby: Murphy, NC 11/21/16
Comments: I have used this braid in 10lb, 30lb & 50lb. I can't understand why folks are getting knots. I've thrown everything from Ned rigs to punching - even cranks with absolutely no issues. Very quiet. I like PP but I've grown use to this braid quickly.
From: Larry: Charlotte, NC 8/4/16
Comments: This line is very soft. Horrible to pitch, flip, or punch with. Had multiple knots from just one outing. Got rid of the line as soon as I got home.
From: Billy: CA 5/30/16
Comments: hate this line have it in my okuma helios spinning hx-30 & its always getting air knots & getting tangles in the tip of the rod. I've broken it doing knots before & its not easy breaking 20lb braid if never done that in my power pro. am frustrated with this line I cant wait to go back to power pro
From: Kevin: Miami, FL 5/3/16
Comments: Hated it. I got the 65lb for pitching mats and buggy whips. The line is way too soft & limp tangles around rod guides. Fishing on a windy day pitching to cattails 30 to 40 ft away when the bait it water I dropped the rod tip to allow for a straight down presentation on he drop. The line wrapped around the 4th guide down & a big bass hit before I noticed it had wrapped. I set the hook a literally cut second, third & fourth guides off my rod. It needs to have a little bit of stiffness added to keep it from wrapping the guides this was a problem from the first time i used it. Been Bass fishing for 40 years never had a line do that.
From: Darby: Riverview, FL 3/20/16
Comments: I decided to pick this braid up after loosing too many A-rigs on cheaper braid. Paying the extra money for this braid has well made up for itself in getting my baits back. The cast ability is also second to none. I had previously used Power Pro and Vicious, and not to discredit either of them, but in my opinion, neither can hold a candle to the J-Braid. Do yourself a favor, pay the extra money, and pick this stuff up.
From: Bruce: Granbury, TX 12/20/15
Comments: bought the 15lb chartreuse. loaded up the revo inshore (2md gen). super smooth & no line noise when reeling in. casts very well almost like casting copolymer lines, which i get better distance than with braid. using a 20lb fouro leader. snaggged in some brush cover and warped the snap swivel. braid did not break. ordered several more spools for 3 more reels. awesome line and for the price well worth it.
