Overview
Combining Daiwa’s demand for perfection with Yamamoto’s legendary soft plastic, the Daiwa Yamamoto Neko Straight Worm is sure to make waves on the tournament circuits. Specifically engineered to be used with a nail weight in the head – Neko Rig style, it features a slim, straight body design that produces tremendous action with the slightest movement of the rod tip. Impregnated with a healthy dose of salt to deliver an enticing slow rate-of-fall just like all Yamamoto soft plastics, it can be fished very effectively on shakey heads, drop shots, Texas-rigs, and Carolina-rigs in addition to the Neko Rig.
The Neko Rig is always a great option for finesse fishing. While most anglers use a weightless worm, the nail weight in the Neko Rig gives anglers the ability to use heavier gear and reach fish in deeper water, where weightless worms just aren’t practical to fish. Available in multiple sizes and a wide range of Yamamoto’s world famous colors, the Daiwa Yamamoto Neko Straight Worm is going to be a major player in upcoming tour-level events.

Comments: Don't be fooled this skinny little bait can catch giants! Heavily pressured clear water spots neko rig the smaller size with a 1/16 oz nail weight on a #1 Rebarb hook. Get ready for the battle of your life!

Comments: When everybody is throwing the standard stick bait on a neko rig, pitch this out instead. It has limitations; it works best on no more than a 1/16oz weight. Tungsten nails or screw in weights are the way to go here, it's too thin for lead nails. Use light line and a #2 or #3 hook and tone down the action you provide to the bait. I like the smaller size on clear water reservoirs and the bigger size on tidal water/stained water. If I'm catching them on a standard senko or the Fat Neko at first, and they pull off it a bit, I like to make a few casts with this to mop up a few more.

Comments: My go to Neko rig bait. This thing has saved me in tournaments several times it's definitely one bait I keep rigged up. Just like most Yamamoto baits they aren't very durable but they flat out catch em!

Comments: Great Worm, everything you'd expect from Yamamoto formulation, except a thinner diameter than a standard Senko, thus exaggerating the movements of the bait. Be aware that standard o-rings will not work with these if you usually use o-rings for Neko rigs; you will need a smaller diameter one.

Comments: They are awesome little baits but they are so thin that they rip off the hook super easily and the NEKO rig O-rings don't fit them. First time I used them I caught 3 bass very quickly in my local urban pond (very pressured pond). I liked this baits effectiveness but each NEKO worm flew off each fish I caught and even during my casts and retrieves. A 1/8 oz nailweight is too thick to fit so a screw-in weight worked much better. These worms are good wacky rigged on a dropshot too. Overall, this bait has awesome action but it's a high price to pay when they keep flying off the hook.

Comments: Come on Yamamoto, help a fisherman out and lower your prices.... not that I'm a cheap man, but goodness, senko prices continue to go up, now these are starting at almost $8/pack. You can make more money if you lower the price so everyone can afford to buy. You definitely need many packs because the worms won't last maybe 2 fish at the most. Great worms as always, but prices are getting outta hand.
