Overview
The Deps Pulsecod features an advanced internal spring weight that knocks against its plastic body and sends out recurrent rhythmic beats, waves and vibrations as you pop it along the surface - and even at rest. Great for pressured and finicky fish, the Deps Pulsecod has an extra-wide, flat, cupped mouth, which allows it to catch more water and create a distinctive boiling sound when popped. However, this bait really shines when left to rest after three quick pops of the rod. Available in a range of proven colors, the Deps Pulsecod is a whole new take on one of bass fishing's most popular topwater techniques.

Great PopperI bought it, when it came out about 14 years ago or so. Didn't like the rattle sound it made, so didn't use it much. Last year, I started using it again, and it kept catching fish, especially when no other topwater baits got bites. Now, it's one of my go-to poppers, and I probably have over 60 different poppers.

Comments: This is the popper I go to if I want to cover a bit bigger space than the small pockets I do with the OSP Louder. Its superb at erratic or rhythmic "pop and stop" work. I don't think Deps intend the spring-mounted weight to knock on the body as much as wiggle the lure and make subtle vibrations. These are expensive, but they are lures I seldom lose and only use in a couple of colors. Poppers can cover several different types of topwater strategies, thus one person's favorite can be completely unappealing to someone else. For instance, I don't walk poppers much as I prefer regular walking baits for doing that. I was being instructed on fishing one of these more correctly by a "contemporary technique" friend when an six-plus pounder smashed it while it was soaking. I find that the predominant techniques for most lure types are usually the most productive, with poppers being the biggest exception.

Comments: Bought this bait not realizing its potential.large profile. very large eyes and hooks for a Top water. first trip lake fishing practice Thursday before 7 boat tournament on Saturday.caught my pb 6.5lb Largemouth. then proceeded to catch several more over 4lb. I did notice I was getting 5 bites to my buddy's 1he was using a regular pop r..to say the least on Saturday I won the tournament with 15 lbs all on this top water.I would recommend it to anyone..

Comments:Great bait but it does not make noise as you think it should. The spring weight is way to tight and does knock back and forth really easy. Maybe after using it 1000 times the spring will weaken but overall the description of how they say it should work is false. It does not knock at a stand still after twitching it. The only time i got it to knock back and forth to hear anything is shaking it hard with my hand. Like i said, the spring weighted system is way to tight. Great concept, poor design!!!

Comments:This popper has a small weight mounted on a spring inside that makes it sit and vibrate after you pop it. Pop it, let it sit. Most fish nail it when its just sitting and vibrating. Finishes are really durable. Hooks good. Great lure.

Comments: Large popper at almost 3/5 oz. Excellent Finishes. Hooks are good quality. Appear to be owner trebles. Simmer down Keith and Miles.

Comments: This is a great lure, another homerun for deps!! It's just like a boing lure just in a popper form, rather than a walking bait!!
