A magnum-sized swimbait designed for attracting huge fish, the Deps Slide Swimmer 250 is completely silent as it swims. Even the hinges of the jointed-body are precision engineered not to make a sound. Its body is constructed from a hard polyurethane foam material covered by a soft plastic material, which makes it feel more realistic to fish when they bite down. This lipless swimbait also features extremely realistic detailing, including accurate coloring, 3D eyes, as well as, life-like scale patterns and gills. Deps is known throughout Japan as one of the premiere lure manufacturers, and the Deps Slide Swimmer 250 has all of the features you need to catch that bass of a lifetime.
One of the best ever made!!!One of the best glide baits ever made from a production standpoint. You will tons of followers and you will know or learn how big the fish are in your local lake when you throw this bait. I don’t have the new style but I do have 8 OGs some still in the boxes new. I am leaning towards trying a new style just to experience the difference. I have heard mixed reviews but usually more people love the OGs than the new style. It’s a joy to throw and I lost a nice fish on it but haven’t gotten too many bites as I would have expected. I ain’t giving up I like this bait.

Comments: Amazing bait and does everything a glide should do. However, there are changes I wish Deps would make. Please add rotating hook hangers, hooking a fish with a giant 6.5 ounce bait flopping around is heart wrenching. I have seen more fish lost with this bait than any other. My solution which has worked well has been to use double split rings and size 1 hooks and pair it with a moderate fast to moderate taper rod, and braid+shock leader or straight flouro depending on what I'm fishing. Always make sure you always check your line and have appropriate gear as hearing your 6.5 ounce lure snap off your line during a backlash is heart breaking. The second thing which would be great is if Deps could sell spare skins. Once again awesome bait, however I'm not sure if the $160 price point is justifiable as the bait is great, but there are competitors which get the same job done and the bait is relatively mass produced.

Comments: Mine filled with water too. This makes the bait completely useless. Totally unacceptable at this price point.

Comments: I have been throwing this bait for 2 years now and it is my favorite lure to throw and out of all my glide baits hands down my favorite to use with the best action. And the easiest to get the glide you are looking for. I am in my mid 50's and my set up is a Megabass Destroyer Swimbait rod paired with a Tranx 400 with power handle on 20# Sunline Flouro and use a modified San Diego Jam knot to secure bait. Awesome set up and handles this and all my baits with zero issues and little to no fatigue. Now that is the good. The Negative, Not bad, just disheartening. I still have not got bit on this bait. And I throw it weekly. But in our state big glides are something that just do not get bit that frequently. But I still use this bait as a search bait. Because nothing and i mean nothing I have ever used in my life gets more fish that follow bait to the boat like the 250. I have had thousands of followers. And some true giants. Now they may not commit to the 250. But i have caught my fair share using follow up baits. I can not recommend this bait more for people that are looking to get into glide fishing. I have over 50 glide baits. And have caught on many of them. But none of them even remotely come close to attracting the fish a 250 does. Hope this helps.

Comments: Deps 250 Slide Swimmer is an awesome glide bait both old models with foam inserts and the new model with the plastic injection insert. I have one of the new plastic insert model and noticed last trip out it was sinking very fast. The front section has filled with water. I removed the outer elastomer cover and it has no noticeable damage or cracks in the plastic injection body but yet it is filled with water. I have already replaced both of the eyes after only a few hours on the water. Very disappointed for the money I paid for this bait, Deps quality is slipping.

Comments: Welcome to the world of big glide baits. Be sure you have a rod that can handle this puppy, spool on some string line, and learn your lob-roll casts so you don't cast this beast off. Maybe you'll be one of the lucky and stick a 10+ on your first cast with this thing, but most likely, you will have to put in hours and hours for that first bite. But the followers... ohhh the followers. This thing is fun to fish. I am in my mid-40s and can still hurl this all day and not be beat down, so don't be intimidated.

Comments: I just started throwing big swimbaits in the winter of 2018 and it's one of the best decisions I've made bass fishing. The DEPS 250 has lead the charge! It is hands down the BEST glide bait I've ever throw. I have the Flash Carp colorway and it performs extremely well in both clear and slightly stained water. The soft plastic skin this bait has encourages fish to hold on for that split second longer for less missed fish. The stock hooks on this bait are quality hooks, but I did switch them out for Decoy Quattro X-S21 and I haven't had a fish come unpinned. The profile of this bait is massive and pushes a lot of water. The action of this bait is extremely methodical, has a large swing when swam back to the boat, and will pull a 180 degree flip when you twitch the rod. The incredible drawing power is what sold me on this bait. I've had fish travel 20 feet to crush this bait. I fish this bait on a Low Down Custom 8'6 XHeavy swimbaits rod with a Abu Garcia Gen 4 Beast in the 7.3:1 which allows me to fish the bait in a range of different options. All in all, whether you're new to the swimbait scene or a seasoned swimbaiter, this bait is a must have.

Comments: Best glide swimbait for the price on the market. Reel it in normal and it does big side to side swimming, give it a jerk, it can turn over 180 degrees with the enough slack in the line. Stocker trout looks the best to me in the water.
