The Don Iovino Splash It was designed to catch fish when all other baits fail to produce. The Splash It splashes water instead of the standard chug produced by most popping baits. The Splash It creates a Splash that shoots far in front of the bait creating a lifelike dying baitfish action and sound. The Splash It was also designed to be affordable to most anglers and uses all of the high quality craftsmanship and components you would expect to find on much higher dollar offerings. All Splash It baits come with a super sharp hand tied chicken feather dressed rear treble.
Upgrade Your Treble Hooks!
Comments: Since a friend first showed me the secret weapon in his tackle box, the standard size A-2, chartreuse and pearl, back in the early 1990's, I've kept a couple of extra just in case... there's nothing on the market that even can compare to the flawless finish and the unmistakable action, but especially the results! It catches the fisb!

Comments: Truly remarkable. Out fishes other poppers I have tried. Just change the hooks. You will be good to go.
From: Leo: IN 1/6/23
Comments: I have owned the same splash-it for twenty years now. Caught thousands of bass on. Would not hesitate to buy more.
From: Mark: Ohio 4/8/22
Comments: I haven't even fished this yet but they put a plastic sheath around their treble hooks, which are a bit difficult to remove without feeling a hook point or two. But once removed, I'm not impressed with these nickel plated hooks at all. Its rare to find these nickel hooks anything but dull right out of the box. And speaking of the box, for a $16 lure they can't do better packaging their pricey product than the 15 cent plastic box it comes in?
From: Bruce Raiken: South Winsor 3/16/21
Comments: These are good poppers, fish smash on them. My only gripe is the feathers are not tied on well. Before use, I always need to re-tie the feathers and add a little silicone. From: Unknown: 1/2/21
Comments: This popper is the best in the business. The hardware is much improved over a Rico. The action is even better. You can walk these easily. The hooks are the best I've come across as standard equipment on this type of popper. The ONLY knock on it is the finish will start coming off after about 20 fish. But, that's the price you gotta pay to actually catch those 20 fish.. WELL worth the asking price. And still cheaper than a Rico. I have plenty of both and the Splash-It is by far the better bait over and over again.
From: Rick: Shuqualak, MS 7/24/18
Comments: This is NOT just a Pop-R with a shaved lip. The sound this produces with the multiple beads made from multiple types of material is so unique. Most bass that have watched many poppers go by will hammer these. And the hardware is top notch. Hooks are the best I've ever seen on a bait straight out of the pack. The attention to detail on the paint schemes and the shape produces a bait that elicits strikes that'll shake you up!! Well worth the dough for this one.

Comments: It's Splash-It time in San Diego right now!! Original Tennessee Shad on 12 lb is the ticket. Throw the Splash-It first pass, swing around and throw the Jackall Wake Tail for a different bait and just whack 'em! Like in the other reviews, hooks break after 10-15 bass so always have more than two lures on you and I just upgade the hooks when they break...
From: Unknown: 6/10/18
Comments: best popper ever, they'll hit this popper when they wont eat any other topwater especially in the rain!
From: Anthony: Orlando FL 5/15/18
Comments: Absolutely love this bait! I had another companies bait on last year & got smoked by my boater who had a Rico. I bought a couple of these for this year one in bone and one in miracle minnow, I have been out fishing guys who have anything but this bait! I will say the bone color I have caught blue gill, perch and crappie but no bass however, the miracle minnow I have caught bass and perch. It's a great lure, just figure out the retrieve which is necessary & get ready to fill the live well!
From: Kevin: Alexandria, VA 7/15/16
Comments: I have always loved topwater fishing. Pop-R's have been good but let me tell you...this splash-it has a different action that the bass love. It took only three cast for me to catch a three pounder and then the very next cast to catch another. I love this bait!!!!!
From: Chris: Huntsville, AL 5/5/14
Comments: I've never caught a top water bass until I used Splash It. My friend introduced me to Iovino's Splash it. Since I was already using Iovino's worms and jigs...why not. I purchased 5 of his Splash it. They were awesome! I used it in one of our club tournament for the first three hours of the tournament. I caught over 16 bass using Splash It! There's nothing like it when you see an explosion out of the water...gulping your lure! These are AWESOME! I now have over 10 of these. Make sure to buy extra treble hooks...the feathers do come off time to time and the hooks sometimes breaks after catching good amount of bass. From: Tony: Glendlae, CA, U.S.A.
Comments: Big killer shad lives up to its name, from Va to Vermont. From: Frank: PA
Comments: These are nice baits with unique colors but I just didn't find it to be any more productive than a regular Rebel Pop-R. It's still nice to have some in my collection. From: MaxZmus: San Diego, CA
Comments: Picked up a Splash-It in Baby Bass many years ago from Don himself at a show in Ma. Super guy and one super bait. My go to bait in tournys whenever a top water bite looks possible. catches a larger average size fish than most poppers too. I am very glad you carry these. They have not been easy to find.
From: Gino: Putnam, CT
Comments: Best topwater I ever used. Have replaced hooks several times still going strong. Bluegill favorite color quick walk-the-dog favorite retrieve. Got my first one from Don himself from seminar.
From: Mike: King, NC
Comments: What a great bait. Not just for super smart West Coast fish, either. Bill Bass jump all over it. Whooped up on my non boater who was giving me crap about throwing a '$20 bait'...he went home an ordered one.
From: Meathead: southern sandwhich
Comments: i love this bait, my go to topwater, i actually caught a largemouth and a smallmouth at the same timeFrom: Jeremy: Jefferson, NC
Comments: this just a pop-r with a shaved bottom lip on the cup. there are several spitters on the market and this is a good one but not the only one. the color choices are the best. From: Wes: Salinas, CA
Comments: Great bait caught 10 LMB in about 2h ours best being 4.5 lbs. From: Pat: Fox Lake, IL
Comments: This is a great popper, one of my favorites. bass love this thing!!
From: Jeff: Toccoa, GA
Comments:Without a doubt the best top water out there. Large Mouth, Small Mouth Bass both will eat them up! Stripers also.
From:Will: Alabama, USA
Comments:Simply the best cupped face topwater out there. Perfect of amount of buoyancy that straddles the surface tension of the water just right. Caught hundreds of LMB and some striper.
