Aaron Martens, Elite Series standout and 2013 Elite Angler of the Year, has developed, tested and refined the Gamakatsu Aaron Marten's TGW Nano Finesse Treble Hooks over the last couple years. One of the best trebles on the market today, he used a prototype in route to his AOY victory, and believes they were a big factor to helping him make the most of every bite he got on treble hooked baits.
Boasting an unbelievable hook up ratio thanks in part to their short shank, O’Shaughnessy bend design, they also feature a slick Nano-Coat finish for unsurpassed hook penetration. Their Tournament-Grade Wire construction also allows the hook point to stay sharper longer, and the Tournament-Grade Wire is 20% stronger per diameter as well. This allowed Gamakatsu and Marten’s to use a much thinner wire for faster penetration, while still maintaining incredible strength with minimal flex. Perfect for all your crankbaits, jerkbaits, etc., try the Gamakatsu Aaron Marten's TGW Nano Finesse Treble Hooks and experience the difference for yourself.
"Over my entire career fishing Gamakatsu I envisioned making the best treble hook in the world. Gamakatsu’s New G Finesse Series combine ultra sharp Tournament Grade Wire with Nano Smooth Technology for the ultimate hook penetration. This new technology will take my jerkbait and crankbait presentations to a whole new level." - Aaron Martens, Elite Series pro.

Comments: These hooks are sticky sharp. I use these as replacements for vision 110 jerkbaits as they are the same weight as the stock hooks, so they don't change the action of the jerkbait, and they don't bend out on bigger fish like the stock hooks. The only bad thing I can say about them is that they are somewhat brittle. The only time I really have an issue with the brittleness is when I hook an angry pike, every once in a while I'll lose a hook point to one. Awesome hooks!

Comments: Straight to the point...no pun intended, these are the sharpest hooks out there. Anyone that has had issues with these hooks should give them another try because they flat out work!! They are extremely sharp, light and strong enough to handle any fish out there. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!!

Comments: Truth be told, I needed these quick so I bought them from a local shop. I have NOT caught a fish on them yet either. But I wanted to write this to help out others looking to replace their hooks on Acme Kastmasters..I did Catch a nice steelhead on that lure, only to lose it to the stock hook bending out. I bought size 4 for the 1/2 oz Kastmasters, and they're only slightly larger. I have a very good feeling about these hooks because they are thin, super smooth & SHARP. I just hope they can handle the fight of a steelhead on a single treble.

Comments: The only hook you'll ever need for jerkbaits. SCARY sharp. From: Ryan: Vermont 6/6/20
Comments: I purchased several sizes and replaced hooks on ripbaits and I must say they work amazing. I'm down here in Florida and using these I have landed some really big bass with no breakage or bending out, once I hook a jerk fish I rarely loose them. 12-15# flouro. They work awesome in my opinion. From: John: Plantation, FL 4/30/20
Comments: Not overly impressed. These hooks are super sticky and sharp but they break and bend really easy. I replaced the stock hooks on my #5 shad raps with these and most either broke or bent when catching walleyes. I will be going back to the KVD triple grips.

Comments: Good sticky sharp hooks. I have used them for years because of the light weight and small barb. I don't recall seeing this anywhere, but if I had to guess they were designed for JBs. Being as light as they are you can replace stock hooks with a bigger size and not have to worry about turning a suspending lure into a sinking one. They work great with Pointer minnows, 110s/110s jrs, Rapalas and any other JB that isn't balanced to extreme precision. You may have to add a little lead tape to get the same rise rate in most cases. The smaller Duos are the only ones I have trouble with. The tolerances are so incredibly precise on some of them just a minuscule amount of extra weight turns a slow float into a countdown. If I could get my hands on some size 8s I could get the perfect balance. From: Unknown: 2/20/20
Comments: Great hooks, I put these on all my crankbaits, good and strong so sticky sharp they will get hooked in everything! They do have a small barb however they stay hooked up to the fish! The finish is a really help for hooking passed the barb everytime! They don't show up in the water either, looks like your bait had no hooks on it. All my jerk, glide, and crankbaits get these treble hooks! Try them one time you're see!

Comments: I'm not real impressed with them so far, I love the slick coating and the hooks are extremely sharp, but I've had 2 hooks out of one pack have there points get folded over. I fish cranks, a lot, bouncing them off of cypress, rocks, any hard structure I can find. So when 2 or of the 6 hooks that come in a pack get bent over on what's suppose to be superior strength wire, it makes me a little nervous. From: Chase: Grand Bay, AL 1/15/20
Comments: Sharp but they break... if you get one in the carpet of your boat while running down the lake, they will break. When cold, they break getting them out of a fishes mouth with pliers as well. From: Jeff: Cornelius, NC 12/27/19
Comments: Absolutely the sharpest hook I have ever used........not even close. So sharp I get nervous when lipping the bass to remove them. Bought a dedicated square bill rod for the lighter 1/4 and 3/8 oz 1.0 and 1.5 size bills. Was a lot softer and limber rod than I thought it would be and was having a ton of trouble burying the hooks and lost several fish because of it. Was a fairly expensive rod but the lack of tip made me almost give up on it. Finally placed an order for these bad boys and WOW WOW WOW!!! Rod loads and these dudes are buried. No lost fish since I started swapping out hooks. 10/10 recommend

Comments: POSITIVES: Extremely sharp and slick. Don't bend out. Stick fish very well. NEGATIVES: These hooks are the most brittle hooks I have ever used. They break instead of bending; I lost two nice Stripers yesterday because the hooks broke. I would not recommend these if you are around big fish. Truly a "finesse" hook.

Comments: Just started using these a couple of weeks ago and these have quickly become my favorites. I've been fishing the Rapala BX Brat squarebill (new favorite also-see review) and have caught many bass but also lost a couple of nice fish. Switched out the small (even for 6) stock trebles with the TGW Nano finesse no. 5's and have yet to lose a fish. Landed my PB 12-10 last week, 1 hook on rear treble buried in floor of throat. 2 powerful LOOOOONG runs. No sign of bend after removal and still razor sharp after several fish. Used 10 lb. fluoro and spinning gear but still a testament to hook strength. The no. 5's are perfect replacements for any stock 6's. Try these, you'll quickly become a convert. Thanks, Aaron and Gammy for another fantastic product. Gammy's slogan "Simply the Best", is simply the truth! Good fishing to all.

Comments: I have been purchasing from tackle warehouse for many years but this is my first review. These hooks are unbelievable. If the fish even looks at the hook, it's coming in to the boat. I caught many large fish last year that were barely hooked in the soft part of the mouth. These hooks aren't cheap but they will help you catch more fish without a doubt.
From: Jersey Mike 4/6/17
Comments: I bought a some of these hooks over the winter to put on my jerkbaits. These are hands how the best hooks for this type of fishing. If the fish even touch the bait, they will be hooked. I always used EWG style trebles, but I decided to try these. Honestly, I cannot think of a fish that I have lost on a jerbait this year. I haven't been able to fish a whole lot yet, but that is the truth. Gamakatsu and Aaron absolutely killed it with these hooks. They are exactly what I needed. I recommend you upsize.
From: Jordan: Illinois 3/26/17
Comments: I put some size 6 on my spin bait 80, and love em. The hooks are super sharp and on more than one occasion on a weak hook set the bass will have the hooks stuck in the hard parts of their mouth.
From: JB: Temecula, CA 4/28/15
Comments: The sizing of these hooks are smaller than traditional treble hooks. Size two is actually closer to a size 4 than to a regular size two standard treble hook. Perhaps that's why they weigh less than a standard size two treble.
From: Don: Dover, NH 3/17/15
Comments: I was lucky enough to get some of these to try/test a year ago. These are the real deal. Very sharp and much stronger wire. They hook extremely well and hold!!! Very few lost fish. It can be a difference maker in a tournament. Also, a few baits are tricky about changing out hooks and maintaining the same action and buoyancy. These hooks are lighter in weight and you can upsize easier. Great job Gamakatsu and Aaron !!!!
