Comments: I ordered one casting 7'3 med/heavy a few years back its been my go-to when jig fishing. Never had any problems very light and parabolic. I have it paired up with concept A. And it performs flawlessly.

Comments: Not sure of all the negative reviews. I've used the 7' H for years and it's an excellent rod. Nice tip and feel; very sensitive; and tough as nails. Can use it for jigs or spinnerbaits, and the guides are perfect. Overall, a very good bass rod. From: Paul: Reedsburg, WI 9/23/20
Comments: These rods have the parabolic bend i was looking for. But they break very very easily. especially with the price. From: Joh: Cornettsville 9/6/20
Comments: I own 4 of these Hammer rods. I have not had any issues with build quality. I am confused how one person says the 7' H is tip heavy. I thought the opposite. The rod is very well-balanced, it doesn't feel top-heavy at all to me. This just goes to show you how much personal preference plays into rod selection. My NRX 894 feels much more tip heavy. I really like the Wymn grips. They balance well and feel great. I consider these my workhorse rods. I grab them when I'm going on someone else's boat. I don't have any fear of breaking them. Sensitivity is good for the price point. Is it equal to an NRX? No, not at all. The action took me a little to get used to. I was used to fishing jigs and plastics on ultra fast rods. I think I was a little lazy with the hook set when I initially started using these rods. It's something I was able to change. Bottom line: I love these rods for the price. I think they beat anything under $200 that I have tried. I do think there are better rods, but each person has to make their own decision of whether or not that justifies the extra money spent.

Comments: Ive had this rod for more than a year. I just dont care for it much.7-3 heavy is tip heavy. Some guides are not centered. Grip is nice. Not super sensitive like others have said but it does have backbone. Maybe I got bum rod but some of the reviews show that maybe this fairly common deal. I thought all the reviews sounded pretty good but was not impressed. Not a bad rod, just not worth the money.
From: Craig: IL 1/10/19
Comments: Gotta agree with many other reviewers, QC is awful. Crooked guides, glue all over the guides. Also the flip rod is very tip heavy. Ratings are off (MH=M). That being said, they are very nice rods/blanks, just wish they'd get the QC squared away.
From: Jay6: Meatwad city 10/19/18
Comments: Got to agree with the last comment on workmanship. Got my 1st Hammer 6'9 MH and the 1st two guides were at 11 oclock position when the reel and seat is sitting level. The rest of the guides were about 12 oclock but not perfectly uniform. Returned to the company and Ty personally sent me a 2nd rod. This rod all guides look align BUT if you hold the reel and reel seat flat level they all line up to the left. Though all are uniform in alignment. Surprised at these problems of the build. The positives I like the balance for throwing spinnerbaits and feel of the grips. Don't think these are equal quality to the price point though. So little disappointed overall in craftsmanship.

Comments: The workmanship sucks. I have had 3 of them and they all have quality control issues. I will send them back and order different rods....
From: David: McKinstrey 11/14/17
Comments: I bought a Hammer Rod back in the spring and fished with it all summer and fell in love with the lightness and feel of the rod with the Winn grips. I will for sure be purchaseing many more in the near future and have several on my Christmas list already! The price is hard to beat for the quality of rod you get! Plus they are made in the USA! Hammer Rods, you get an A+ in my book!
From: James: TN 11/14/17
Comments: I now personally own 10 of these rods, ranging from a drop shot rods to a 7'11" extra extra heavy, and I have yet to find a flaw in these. They are by far the most sensitive, lightweight rods that I have used yet they have enough backbone to drive the hook home. I am very rough on my equipment as I fish a tournament nearly every weekend and these rods can withstand the beating. The unique parabolic bend of these rods allows for a lot less lost fish especially for those deep fish. The rods are very forgiving because the bend allows for you to still get a good hook even when you mess up such as a little slack in your line or things of that nature. Another plus of these rods is that they are American made in every aspect, and you are personally dealing with the family that owns the company rather than some big company. Try a couple of these rods and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Comments: Have had this rod for 6 months now and really like it. I have a bunch of rods in the $100-150 range (Shimano, Duckett, Daiwa, Dobyns, BPS, Falcon). Excellent build quality and attention to detail. Yes, they are softer than what is considered industry standard (H fishes like MH, etc). So when ordering just order one power up for your intended use. Like others have mention this rod is light, ultra sensitive and is probably the most comfortable rod you will ever buy. No fatigue at all when fishing it all day and very balanced (on a Daiwa Tatula Type R). I have the 7'3H and use it primarily for jigs and soft plastics. On top of all of this they are very versatile and you could fish A LOT of different baits on them. Can't say that about all the rods in my arsenal. I would say they remind me a lot of my Falcon BuCoo's only with nicer components and cleaner finish. Also USA made which is always a plus.
From: Brett: St. Louis MO 9/26/17
Comments: I purchased the 7'6" Extra Heavy and right away I compared with my Dobyns, Duckett, and St.Croix. The feel is very light for a heavy rod, almost like a MH. Grips are a nice added touch. I felt like I could fish with this rod all day. Like others have mentioned, you may want to step up to the next weight size since they run soo light. Best part, made right here in the US of A!

Comments: This makes my fourth hammer, 1 mh cranking, 1mh casting, 1m casting, and 1h casting, everyone complains that the rods are weak or not enough backbone, I have flipped 4 pounders with my medium action, these rods have more than enough backbone for any fishing style.
From: Nate: Pell city, AL 5/31/17
Comments: Probably one of the better rods I've owned I got mine from a high school tournament and I used it throwing a spinnerbait in grass and flipping a jig has a very light tip but a lot of backbone mine a 7'6 heavy I was able to flip a 5lb large mouth with ease
From: Peter - Alabama 5/13/17
Comments: Good sensitive rod but not strong. They're rated very light. I bought the 7ft heavy and I have med-hvy rods that are stronger than this heavy. Other than this, the Winn grips are great and it's really sensitive and light.
From: Coltin: Texas 5/10/17
Comments: I have been using these rods for a little under a year. The thing that got me the most is the amount of fish lost with the rod. Most people look at hooks or line, which are all a factor, but these rods have a parabolic bend causing less slack thrown to the fish when they jump. I never really thought about it until I used the 7'6" heavy(first rod I got), but I fish a lot (4-5 days a week) and I have noticed a lot less lost fish and the sensitivity is unreal. The power is great and the grips are a plus too! Customer service is awesome. if you're on the line about purchasing one, I would give it a shot.

Comments: I was in the market for a new cranking rod and prefer all American made. I have been a big Quantum and Shimano fan for many years because the price was right. The Hammer cranks are absolutely fantastic rods. Excellent grips, light weight, cartable, and great fighting action. I am done with the broom stick behemoth rods I was using in the past and will be switching my cranking arsenal over to the Hammer cranks. Much easier for a day of cranking and every bit as powerful. Very reasonably priced given the quality.
From: GILLDOC: Btown 4/4/17
Comments: I've been a Duckett guy for many years and I have now switched entirely over to Hammers. 100% American and the sensitivity of these rods is unparalleled. I can feel fish breathe on my lure with these rods. If you haven't picked you up a Hammer then you are definitely missing out.
From: Ryan: Alabama 3/2/17
Comments: Bought the 7'11" cranking rod for deep cranking and I love it. Not owning a cranking rod of this length before I had nothing to compare this rod to, so I decided to buy a versatile rod to compare it to other companies. Picked up the 7' heavy and it blows all the other rods away. I have had G Loomis, Powell, Megabass, and others and this is by far my favorite. Nothing against all the other companies, but just bragging on the hammer. Highly recommend, great rods for a good price and 100% made in the USA.
From: Carson: Hoover, AL 2/21/17
Comments: I bought a 7'3 extra heavy last summer and I couldn't be more happy. These rods are light, sensitive, and the Wynn grips are a game changer for me. I'm planning on switching completely over to all hammer rods in the near future and now I don't have to order them out of state. Good call TW for adding Hammer Rods to you're inventory!
From: Ryan: Oakdale, CA 2/20/17
Comments: Great Rods! I switched over to these rods. Great Quality - I love the 7'3 heavy for an all around rod - football jig, big worm and even thrown chatterbaits and swim jigs on it. The 7'6 H Swimbait is great for 3/4 to 1 oz swimbaits. They have a great tip with good backbone. You will love the Winn grips! Highly recommend trying one!
From: KR - TN 2/19/17
Comments: I switched to Hammer Fishing Rods exclusively before my appearance in the Forrest Wood Cup in August '16 and I could not be more pleased. They are the lightest, most sensitive I have found. From flipping sticks to spinning rods, Hammer has you covered. You won't be disappointed!
From: Joseph Webster, FLW Pro 2/18/17
Comments: I've used a variety of different rods over my years as a tournament angler and never settled on one brand. Picked up a Hammer rod with Winn Grips about 2 years ago and I have swapped over to them exclusively now. Awesome rod for an even better price. Thanks for stocking these TW
From: Unknown 2/15/17
Comments: I've got the 7'3" MH and it's an AWESOME jig rod! I love the grips.
From: Brooks: Thomasville 2/15/17
Comments: I was looking for the perfect 3/8 ounce spinnerbait rod for closer quarters, I've found it in the 6'9" MH moderate fast. Yes, I was looking for a moderate rod for this technique and it's perfect. We all know that spinnerbaits dont require a bone jarring hook set. This rod has the perfect backbone to set the hook with a sweep yet still maintains the moderate fast action that keeps a fish pinned on those hard runs and won't straighten out your spinner bait arm (you all know what I mean). To me, this rod is flawless for this technique and I couldnt be happier. It's very sensitive and you'll constantly feel your blades turning and know when they stop. The rod is light and balanced and just overall great. I use a power tackle paragon 6'10" moderate for topwaters and jerkbaits with amazing results. The success with that rod is what has drawn me to be a fan of the moderate blanks.
From: Luke: AL 2/7/17
Comments: I've just switched over to these rods over the Winter. I can't believe I paid $400+ before for a rod. These are so sensitive and light. The Winn grips really help when setting the hook and with wet hands. Customer service is second to NONE!
From: Jeffery: Starkville, MS 2/3/17
Comments: Awesome rods!!! I've purchased several from other dealers before Tackle Warehouse started carrying them. The winn grip is super comfortable, they are very sensitive and have a very nice parabolic flex to them which is great for loading up on a fish as well as keeping tension on the line once you've hooked up. Definitely rated lighter than what most would consider typical, so if you are looking for a medium heavy, step up to the heavy. But they are an awesome value for a sub $200 rod.
From: Unknown 1/30/17
Comments: These rods are beasts! Very lightweight, awesome grips, wide variety to benefit anglers and various techniques of fishing. Enough backbone to reel in large fish! These rods sell themselves. Once you get your hands on one you will become a firm believer! And of course - Made here in the USA!
