Overview

Ima combined Michael Murphy’s biology expertise with ima’s advanced technology and the ima Flit 100 Jerkbait was born. Named for its erratic fleeing action and 100mm length, it was designed to “match the hatch.” It features a broad back and flat sides to mimic the flat-sided baitfish closely.

The ima Flit 100 Jerkbait incorporates a realistic finish, a uniquely designed bill for ease of use and specially designed triangular chambers. This creates constant focal points of contact, maximizing vibration and sound consistency. Available in a variety of highly detailed colors, the ima Flit 100 was developed to trigger strikes and enhance your fishing experience.

Design:
-3 Hooks System: Features three Owner #6 hooks for increased catch ratio.
-Flat sided, wider back: A common shape of baitfish resembled in the Herring family. If taken a cross section of, both will appear triangular in shape, as opposed to oval in shape, more representative of a smelt or minnow, which is less commonly fed on by Bass.
-Forward pointed, skinnier bill: This lure has its action built into its design. Many competitors make a lure and adjust the bill width and size to give the lure its action. This will only create more resistance wearing the user out much quicker. The bill angle, length and width is designed for strictly the depth, where the body is designed for the action by resembling the shape of Herring, which includes Gizzard and Threadfin Shad, and giving a similar cadence, resulting in a much user friendly, less tiring lure.

Action:
-3-5ft dive depth: Most common depth, within visible sight, of suspending baitfish and predatory fish aimed to catch in colder months and post frontal situations.
-Flash: With how the sides of the jerkbait are designed, they reflect light slightly downward, naturally the direction from which a strike will most likely come from, as opposed to outward and in any which direction like most competitors.

Sound:
-High Pitch (small bb's): Most Commonly resembling to baitfish in the Herring family (flat sided, as opposed to a round sided smelt), which includes Gizzard and Threadfin Shad, to imitate sound in colder water conditions and in post frontal situations.
-Triangular Internal Chamber system: This unique system maximizes sound by ricocheting bb's at constant angles. With this design it allows for a controlled sound among all jerkbaits that come out of production, allows the jerkbait to be consistent in sound, and keeps the bb's from getting stuck in crevices. This design emits a controlled sound and maximizes consistency, maximizing its realistic and unique sound.

It gets bit!Casts poorly, paint job gets shredded quickly, but this thing gets bit at times the fish won't touch a LC or 110. If you're an avid jerkbait angler, consider having some of these in your box. Definitely have a spinning rod ready if you expect wind.

Previous Feedback

Comments: These bridge the gap in action between a 110 and a Pointer. The Flit has little bit of side to side walk like the pointer, but not as predictable. It has a bit of the flashing roll of the 110, but not nearly as much dart when you snap it. It's a nice medium. I tend to fish it later in spring and summer, especially around sparse grass beds. It responds well to a faster tempo. Paint isn't bad, colors are better than some others for the price. Durability isn't a stalwart feature, so if you have a slow thumb this may not be the bait for you.

From: Chris: Lantucky, CA 3/7/23

Comments: Clear water, blue bird sky, slight breeze, Ghost Chartreuse Herring gets chewed, caught piles of bass in summer around grass edges. Owned one of these for the past two summers paint still looks great stock hooks still hooking up like new.

From: Unknown - 9/10/19

Comments: This thing is a little secret on the TN River. Tennessee shad is the main go-to and chartreuse shad in dirtier water. The owner stingers are awesome hooks, the 100 size gets inhaled. Thank you TW for keeping them in stock.

From: Patrick: Dunlap 6/23/19

Comments: I'll preface this saying I've fished about every hard body jerkbait out there. The IMA flit used to be one of my favorites, the older JDM versions of this bait are fantastic if you can find them. These new ones are made in China, and the quality has dropped off considerably. The paint on the side of my new 120 ghost perch has some nice green flakes on one side, but almost no flakes on the other. The foil on my gold flash 120 has bubbles on one side, but not the other. Guess where the foil started immediately peeling from while fishing??? Poor QA/QC and wont be buying any more of them.

From: Unknown 5/15/19

Comments: The flit in my opinion is a good but not great jerkbait. I have found the action reminiscent of a slender pointer / flash pointer by LC. This thing also looks pretty good at faster retrieves and a wind-wind-wind pause cadence that we sometimes use for the saltwater bass here in Socal. - stock hooks are really nice, I think they are ST-36? Or something similar. I liked them. - durability as others have mentioned isn't great. Especially for those toothy saltwater bass and corvina. The paint jobs can get wrecked pretty fast. This is also one of the few jerkbaits / hardbaits where I've managed to break a lip by bumping rocks / bottom. - colors are fairly basic. I have mainly fished with tennessee shad and bone shad, and those colors are effective for sure, but not mind-blowing like some other higher-end hardbaits. - For the price, this thing is pretty sweet.

Comments: I really wanted to like this jerkbait, but the durability of the bait is just terrible. Better to fish this in open water than close to cover or near rocks. I was throwing this jerkbait close to some rocks, and the paint started to peel off. After a few more casts, the bait had cracked and filled with water. This all happened after 5 casts. I was really disappointed. I thought maybe I had just received a bad bait, but it happened to other 2 I purchased as well. The jerkbait does have a good action and properly suspends right out of the box. Just don't expect it to hold up over time.

From: Ken: Texas 3/2/18

Comments: Just tried two of these jerkbaits this week on a local TN lake. The action is good, and I'm sure the lure will produce well once the Spring pre-spawn bite heats up. One of the few jerkbaits on the market that come with strong, quality trebles. If the 120's produce, I probably purchase a few 100's. The color options are not up-to-par with Megabass, Rapala, or Lucky Craft, but the most effective jerkbaits produce with action not color. Good value for the $.

From: John - Knoxville, TN 12/30/17

Comments: Just fished this for the first time.  Threw everything I had at them and this is the only one that caught fish...and it caught everything.  Bass, pickerel, perch, and a pike.  Great bait, beauty of a finish, casts a mile, action is killer, big flash even on an overcast day.  Got mind in the 130 Brown Flash variety.  Thinking of ordering an american shad for brighter days.

From: Jason: Mansfield, Ma 11/6/17

Comments: The 120 is an awesome bait but the brown flash pic is deceiving- more of a gold/tan side with a brown back. Wish it were as pictured for stained water.

From: Terry - CO 2/19/17

Comments: The best jerk bait. Great action, suspends perfect, and dives to the perfect depth. Also, superb paint job!

From: TCMOUA: Fresno, CA 4/7/14

Comments: A great bait that I used this year on pre- and spawning fish on flats.  The action really draws them up off the beds.  Great finish and high quality sticky sharp ST-36 hooks.

From: Hiram, Georgia USA

Comments: Used the 100 chart shad in small tourney, wow...all i can say, my partner was using some other brand and i was out fishing him left to right... planning to buy more... really recommend it, caught over 20 fish and the color still looks new.

From: Carl: NC

Comments: This jerkbait is my go-to. It is different than the popular choices of pointers, ito visions, rogues, etc. It dives a bit deeper than a standard jerkbait, has a killer action, and suspends perfectly. Highly recommended!

From: Ethan: KS

Comments: Excellent jerkbait, my favorite color is also chatreuse shad.  Only negative is that the bill is fragile, I've had 2 break on me in the last 2 years.  Be careful not to bang these off rocks, docks or timber when casting!

From: Jeff: Bella Vista, AR

Comments: One of the best jerkbaits n my tackle. The 120 has best side to side action there is. Favorite color is the chartruese shad. Fish cant resist!

From: Charz: Fresno, CA

Comments: The 120 is a must have. Very erratic action, bass cannot resist, goes a little deeper than other jerkbaits, and colors are awesome. Brown flash brings me my limit quick.

From: Germ: Fresno, CA

Comments: This jerkbait is awesome. I really like the 120 because i can get it down deeper than a pointer 100 without losing the action. Every one should own one, the side to side action is incredible. It is in my top 3 of jerkbaits including lucky craft and megabass.

From: Dave: Detroit, MI

Comments: Never owned a jerk bait that gits hit as hard as this one!

From: Jeffy: OC

Comments: Small profile with excellent castability...Great for pressure fish.

From: Ian: Mcalester, OK

Comments: i like this lure but i have had two of them break on me.

From: Ben

Comments: They come stock with Owner hooks and yes they are great especially in the fall.

Comments: i'm a Lucky Craft enthusiast.  But, I have to say the Ima Flit is an excellent bait.  It has just enough of a different action to compliment the Pointer.  First time out with the Flit I caught a 5 lb. largemouth.  While I probably didn't have to, I  changed out the stock hooks with Owner.
