A quiet killer, the Lucky Craft LC 1.5 Silent Squarebill Crankbaits provide a less-evasive presentation that is perfect for targeting fish in heavily pressured environments. Constructed using a high-float plastic, the Lucky Craft LC 1.5 Silent Squarebill Crankbaits deliver a muted presentation that relies on its heavy action to attract.
Perfect for banging against shallow cover, gravely flats, and stumps, the Lucky Craft LC 1.5 Silent Squarebill Crankbaits provide bite-inducing deflections that will work on the most lock-jawed bass. Offered in a range of bass-catching colors, the Lucky Craft LC 1.5 Silent Squarebill Crankbaits rein supreme in heavy hard rocky bottom areas where large bass lurk.

Comments: This bait is INCREDIBLE, it runs great, gives that signature flash when it hits a rock, and looks great, the only downside is that the bill is not very durable, if you are fishing where there are exposed rocks and trees, you might be better off getting the more durable longer-lasting $18 ones, I have already chipped and cracked a couple, but other than that it is the best quality-for-the-price bait on the market.

Comments: Love em. Amazing colors and paint and always seems to catch fish. If I'm throwin crankbaits, it's either this or a 6th sense crankbait. Cast these up near shoreline and docks and reel em in.

Comments: Great in pressured areas. 2ft + vis excellent. Stop and go, slow row. Med float rate. Bass, Striped bass, Salmon (chinook). Hooks seem fine, landed 8 15lb-24.5lb Chinooks this year so far same lure & hooks, no bend-outs. Silver one for Salmon with the smiley face looking red gill..forgot the name just ordered 2 more

Comments: I really like these LC square bills, but the quality aspect has disappeared. 2 silents now rattle and blow out easily. They all come with cheap split rings for the hooks and line tie. Recently the split rings bent out from banging rocks on bottom, another crank came flying back at me after a smallie jump ,and all that remained was a straightened thin wire split ring and no front hook. I also had another large fish pull the line tie split ring off. So yes they get bit for sure, but the components need replaced immediately

Comments: Pros...great finish, great hooks, catches fish. Cons- super fragile. Don't slap them on the water, or run them into any card cover. Baits will crack and get water into them, and even if they don't, that single bearing in there comes looks and the bait gets all wonky. LUCKY CRAFT, read the reviews prior that echo mine- you have a problem!!
From: Steve: Maryland 4/6/22
Comments: Ok fellow bass anglers. I have been experiencing the same frustration with the LC 1.5 as some of the recent reviewers. So I began cracking them open with a pair of Channel Locks. As my daughter was walking by and shaking her head, I cracked open 8 LC 1.5 squarebills. There is 1 pea-sized bearing inside each silent 1.5 squarebill. In 2 of them (I am guessing they were older), the bearing was encased in a plastic cavity. There was no way it was coming loose no matter how much abuse the lure endured. In the other 6 however, the bearing is not in a sealed cavity. It is just loosely held in place by pieces of plastic that can be easily bent. It is no mystery then why these bearings become free making the lure rattle and run incorrectly. Disappointing ! But I have noticed a lack of quality control in a lot of fishing tackle the last few years.

Comments: I've been using these for ten years. They've been great until the last couple of years. Most will not last through a day fishing. As mater of fact I normally go through several like five or ten. The bearing pops loose inside just by bouncing off rocks which they're supposed to be designed to do. Proof is actually in the date of these comments. You can tell because the dates go back a while and the only problem comments are just in the last couple of years. So it's not just me. I think tackle warehouse should stop all sales of this product until problem is solved. These baits are an icon but they need to be fixed.

Comments: This is the crank bait that really made me love cranking. The action is quick, erratic and rips out of cover nicely. And best of all it gets BIT! I've gotten into schools and had them fired up on this bait, catching a fish in every single cast. From: Alex: Wisconsin 8/2/21
Comments: I don't know what has happened to these crankbaits the past couple of years. The paint jobs are about the only good thing anymore. I had a couple last year become useless because somehow the weight systems broke free in the baits and caused them to rattle really loud which knocked the crankbaits out of balance causing them to blow out. I've ordered more and did great for a while until I made another order a couple of months ago. 3 out of 5 of the baits that I ordered did the same thing. 1 lasted about 4 trips with somewhat heavy abuse so that doesn't bother me too much. The other 2 didn't even last a whole day with very minimal abuse. I was fishing a lake with lots of cypress trees in which I was just flipping my crank at my targets at fairly close range just hitting the base of the trees just every once in while. Quality and performance are way down. I've had better luck with Bandits, Bombers, and H2O cranks(not knocking their brands). I'm glad Tatom from Texas left a similar review so I know it wasn't just me. I have been using alot of the Japanese market stuff lately like the Deps Evoke, OSP Blitz, and some Megabass stuff that are kind of expensive and go back to the Lucky Craft Silent some because they are much cheaper. I guess you pay for what you get.

Comments: I'm not gonna say it's a bad lure because I lost it the 2nd day I got it but this lure works wonder straight out of the box for bass and I guess northern pike because that's the species that stole this lure from me. Good for bouncing off rocks and stumpsFrom: Riley: Rockford, IL 9/29/20
Comments: I don't know why people have said that their lips broke on grass. I have beat the absolute snot out of these in creeks by grinding bottom. Great action. From: Unknown: Missouri 9/2/20
Comments: 100 times better than a kvd 1.5. Do yourself a favor and get one. FYI not by much but better stock hooks too.
From: Unknown 5/19/20
Comments: Lucky Craft LC Silent is not so silent after one use. Looks like it's a KVD for me. Lucky Craft needs to step their game up
From: Mike: North Port, FL 5/3/20
Comments: I took the advice of others on hear and bought hte BE gill and glad I did. I found a nice 4 fish pattern this past week when the bite was sub optimal on all other baits. I'm also not a heavy power fisherman so this is pushing me into the cranking scene more and more. From: Jesse: Mesa, AZ 4/8/20
Comments: Lucky Craft must have changed their process for the silent square bills. These USED to be the best squarebill on the market, hands down. My last 3 that I ordered have all turned into a rattle one. It's almost as if they make the silent by gluing the rattle inside or something, and it comes loose after light to moderate use. Pretty frustrating since I specifically throw silent squarebills. If they stay silent they're great, but once that weight/ball comes loose they're useless. From: Tatom: Texas 3/3/20
Comments: Bought 2 different colors to try. Great action and runs true. Both bills broke from smacking off grass. Very fragileFrom: Riley: California 2/23/20
Comments: It's surprising to see how few companies make passable color imitations of baby bluegill. I got some of these Lucky Craft square bill1.5's in "Flake Flake Golden Sunfish" and "CF Flake Flake BE Gill". Up close, both are great colors. If, like me, you fish fairly clear near-shore waters where 2" bluegill are a primary forage, it helps to have colors that bear a close semblance. These also come in a few other colors that are good at mimicking bluegill colors. If you hold a 2-3 inch bluegill in your hand, these are the colors they have. Hooks are sticky sharp. Not quite as big of a gap as the KVD 1.5 square bill hooks. Now I only have to wait 4 more months to try them out! From: JPB: Pennsylvania 1/31/20
Comments: Great little squarebills, good selection of colors, good hooks and hold up well. I primarily use the 1.5 size. You can't beat the price either. From: Trent: Colorado 1/7/20
Comments: I have a couple of these SB's, and they swim like Bagley balsa!!! The quality is amazing, and the vibration is like a Colorado-blade spinnerbait. For shallow, muddy winter-time cranking, these SB's are deadly. Along with the Big Daddy Strike 3's & 4's, these lures produce as well as any shallow swimming CB on the market.
From: John: Nashville, TN 5/3/19
Comments: Nothing bad to bad say about this bait, they catch fish and the colors are great. But, the listed weight and the weight on the packaging is not correct for the 1.5 size. Just ordered 5 and one weighed 3/8 and the rest were 1/4 ounce. And no they were not the 0.7 size. This made sense as the older version never cast as well as a DT6 or even a Strike King 1.5. I weighed my DT6's and KVD 1.5's on the same scale and they were all 3/8 ounce. Just a heads up if u guys see the listed 1/2 ounce for these. And yes, I can cast, just looking for more distance wherever I can get it and was a little disappointed with these.

Comments: Bought the last 0.7 TO Craw series, and it has producing well. Definitely has become my confidence bait and I look forward to purchasing more 0.7 squarebills. A lot of times when I fish pressured ponds, a smaller presentation works really well. Locating them is the hard part, but once you've done that and throw this bad boy, oh yeah--it's gonna bring you fish.
From: Unknown New York: 9/4/18
Comments: I order the TO Craw in the 0.7 size because it was the only 0.7 size left among this Squarebill. When I got it, I really debated whether to keep it or not. Glad I did, because it worked like magic--catching fish left and right in late summer/early fall. This is now one of confidence bait, which I'm sure we all know how effective Lucky Craft lures are.

Comments: The LC 1.5 was my first real foray into the world of crankbaits and holy smokes I am SO GLAD that I took the plunge!! The BE Gill and CF Flake Flake BE Gill patterns have produced both numbers and size of fish for me!! When everyone else in the boat was struggling to land a wacky rig fish I have consistently had success with these patterns in 1.5! THANK YOU!
From: Matt: Brighton, MI 7/24/18
Comments: This crankbait is easily one of my favorites. I've had most success on Be gill catching over thirty fish on the same bait.
From: Unknown NC 9/14/17
Comments: pulled the be gill out and every bass got hard! caught some quality largemouth and giant smallmouth
From: kent murphy: 9/3/17
Comments: This is my favorite SB right now. They run true right out of the box. After recent troubles with the more popular brands I started searching for a new SB. Each lucky craft I've bought runs true out of the box and just costs a little more than the more popular 1.5. Will be buying more soon.
From: Neil: Frankfort, Kentucky 8/2/17
Comments: BUY THIS THING RIGHT NOW!!! Or don't, I'll take them all. This is the best bait for prespawn HAWGS (Or anytime hawgs) used the BE GILL color and caught tons of fish (And tons of big ones).
