Overview
When Lucky Craft introduced the Pointer series rip-baits, they set the standard that all others are measured. Now with the introduction of the 78DD, Lucky Craft has expanded the Pointer's fish catching range. The Pointer 78DD is designed to suspend 7-8 feet deep, bringing the Pointer's legendary fish catching action down to greater depths. Special internal brass weights create a low center of gravity that causes the Pointer to wobble and vibrate when the retrieve is stopped. Not only does the Pointer have an incredible suspending action but the retrieve action is something not found in other rip-baits. When ripped or twitched, the pointer has a "Walk the Dog" underwater action that is unique to this bait. The Pointer 78DD delivers this unique fish catching action while probing deeper waters. Try one and you will see why pros have been catching and winning with this lure since its inception.

Comments: The Pointer DD78 is as reliable a three black bass species catching lure as any ever made. It might not be the "kicker" lure, but it certainly will nicely fill a creel in many conditions, if worked without haste. TW could stand to expand their color offerings, as in, offer more that work better in colored water. My word of caution is that if the color pattern contains the word "flake", it will quickly be do exactly that.

Comments: Bought a few of these last winter. After one season this is like the only thing I ever want to throw anymore. I have a rod on my deck designated for this all year as long as it's not muddy. Awesome bait!

Comments: Been fishing these baits for years. Have caught hundreds of fish on them. Have not experienced the lip breaking.

Comments: I've been using these lures for 4 years and they're the best fish catching lures for spring walley. I outfish all my buddies until they go buy some Lucky Crafts. The only complaint is their shelf life. They all end up breaking away from the bill where the line ties on. Gets pretty expensive realing in only the bill to the lure about once a week.
