Overview

2013 ICAST "Best of Show" Winner in Soft Lure Category

Lunkerhunt has outdone themself with the creation of the ultra-realistic Lunkerhunt Lunker Frog. The Lunkerhunt Lunker Frog features an amazing swimming leg design that extends and retracts during retrieve for an astonishingly true-to-life presentation. When paused, the Lunkerhunt Lunker Frog rests at an advantageous 45-degree angle, which gives it a natural look and also results in higher hook-up percentages.  The Lunkerhunt Lunker Frog is designed with a soft-body that collapses easily upon attack and quickly exposes its razor-sharp double frog hook. Available in some of the most vivid frog colors on the market, the Lunkerhunt Lunker Frog is sure to generate explosive blow-ups wherever it’s fished – and that’s no bullfrog.

Good but not the bestI found this frog on the bank one day and it caught quite a few, but it got holes in it pretty fast and started to sink. I would recommend it if you’re not expecting it to last.

Worst frog ever so farThis frog is absolutely terrible every time I would try to walk this frog it only dives down. Also the action is terrible with the legs, and another thing to note I wanted to get the awful excuse of a frog was to have it like its hopping on the lily pads then have it walk normal but oh no it can’t.

Unreal action and hook up ratioUnreal action and hook up ratio. My PR caught on this.

GarbageAfter two outings the paint or "color" chips off.. Sinks when it fills up with water. The only thing realistic about it, is it pees on your when you squeeze the water out

Comments: The black one is one of my favorite frogs. They have one big problem though, the legs fall off easily. I sent Lunkerhunt an email about getting some replacement legs and they said that they did not sell replacement legs. They also said I was fishing it wrong and should allow two seconds before setting the hook. I was already doing this. They just want you to buy more frogs.

From: John - Huntsville, AL 8/12/20

Comments: Lunkerhunt is one of those companies that is hit and miss. IMO they make some "gimmicky" baits that somehow win best in show. They do come up with some good ones every now and then like the bento minnow. I thought these were a gimmick but when I fished it I liked the way it worked and there is kind of a secondary action when you stop it, the legs come back up to the body. Frogs are a love hate bait for me. I get good fish but the hookup ratio can be all over the place. I get a good ratio with these frogs so that's not the problem. There made of a really soft plastic which is good, soft plastic means more action and will collapse much easier to expose the hooks during a bite. You run into trouble if you have any kind of toothy fish, like pickerel or snakehead. One hit and the frog takes on water and is almost useless. Havent tried it, but mend it or superglue could be a fix.

From: Unknown: 6/23/20

Comments: It is a good lure it looks so cool but when I used it the legs fell off 7 days later so can you strengthen the part of the body where the legs attach to the body but I like it it looked real and all the fish look at it.

From: Unknown: 5/31/20

Comments: These pocket are pretty good in my opinion, the green tea colour is probably the best, catches all sizes of bass. it does take in a little bit of water, and the legs do come off. Good frog, all around 2.5 out of 5

From: Unknown 11/18/18

Comments: Total junk.  I bought one when they first came out, and the legs ripped off on the first outing.  I swore them off after that.  Wouldn't you know it, I get one in my subscription box.  I figured, if I already paid for it, I might as well use it.  It looks like they now glue the legs to the body, but guess what.  They STILL take on more water than the Titanic!  Gimme my Booyah Pad Crashers, you can HAVE this garbage.

From: Jim: Pittsburgh, PA 11/3/18

Comments: Not impressed.  For the price you would think you'd get a little better quality. Bought four different patterns. The top detail was great but when you turned them over they all were the same pattern and color. Not only that, I had to constantly squeeze the water out of the body. Fished these frogs for awhile and never had even 1 blowup on them. Switched back to my old standby frogs and it was fish on. Oh well, guess as usual it's live and learn. Hopefully one day I'll use them and catch a fish with one.

From: John: Spokane, Wa 8/4/18

Comments: This very realistic bait is an incredibly powerful bait for small and largemouths, this bait works especially well in over fished bodies of water where the fish are used to frogs with skirts or just rubber nubs for legs!

From: fish addict: NY 7/3/18

Comments: Like another review said, you NEED to reel this in slow and only about 4-6 inches at a time! If you do this, it's one of the best frogs I have ever used and my go-to. And I have used many many frogs. It's not a popping frog or a walking frog. When used right, it catches big bass. At first I tried to do what probably every person on here complains about because I jerked it and it took on lots of water but you just need to reel it slow and the fish go crazy. Since then I've bought three more and never had any legs rip off or anything break on them so it must be user error if you're breaking them. Even my girlfriend catches giants on them!

From: Unknonwn: Minnesota 5/30/18

Comments: Most realistic frog on the market!!! Caught a ton of 5lb plus bass on it,I won't use any other frog.

From: John - Florida 5/27/18

Comments: I bought this fraud a few months and go and caught 3 large mouth bass on it. The legs started to tear and I contacted customer service and they did nothing about it at all. I would not recommend this product to anyone and I will never buy anything from this company again because their customer service doesn't care if they lose customers !!

From: Jesse: Illinois 1/10/18

Comments: Worst frog ever purchased.  They take in water almost immediately and have no action. Not a good buy....

From: Jack: MI 12/26/17

Comments: These are the worst! The hooks are good but there is no action in this frog. It is one of biggest gimmicks out there. I would not recommend this at all!!!!

From: Mike Hunt - Arizona 11/18/17

Comments:  I was very excited to buy these frogs as they looked like a very cool addition to my frogging tackle box. Sadly, they did not perform. The lunker frog was impossible to walk and the pocket frogs had awful hooks. I personally far prefer a Spro frog, which even without the gimmiky legs still catches fish.

From: Unknown 11/8/17

Comments: i have had all of the lunkerhunt frogs and none of them have worked. spent an entire day just fishing them and caught 1 fish. i will never buy these again

From: jhon: florida 10/12/17

Comments: If you plan on buying the pocket for baitcasting DONT it is not1/4 use spinning for it is way to light

From: Luke: Utah 8/10/17

Comments: Don't buy this frog. Yea the hook up ratio is good but the hooks always puncture the bait and the legs rip off after about 5-10 fish. Would you want to spend $8 for every 5 fish you catch. Go with the booyah pad crasher, one of the best frogs out there.

From: 7/12/17

Comments: With all frogs you have to take plyers and bend the hooks slightly out away from the body. Just out a little tweak. After that hook up ratios are fine. Chances are if you're on a frog bite, so is everyone else. Matted moss and grass or pads mean one bait... Frogs! This bait looks absolutely real in the water. I've came behind guys and caught more and bigger fish. They just work. Yes you might lose a leg or two. I've lost legs after one big blow up or 30 fish, just depends. However it's worth it due to the effectiveness of the bait and I've actually caught several fish on a frog with one leg. The only down side I can say to these is sometimes they turn over and snag up, reaaaaaally annoying but again I'll take it in trade because of how good they work.

From: MetatronStarSocalv7/5/1

Comments: I got this frog when I first started frog fishing. I thought this was the best thing since white bread! After fishing with this frog for a little while and catching a few fish, it started taking on water more than it had at first. It then started sinking every cast. One of the legs then fell off. I realized frogs weren't susposed to do that after fishing with more frogs. I would rather go to a booyah frog than this for the price point. DON'T BUY!!!!!

From: Unknown 6/13/17

Comments: BEST FROG EVER caught my personal best largemouth 2 weeks ago 7 pounder. Great colors. Works flawlessly. Only down side is that it can lose its legs sometimes.

From: Trey Stetler: Kentucky 5/4/17

Comments: Best frog ever. Affordable and catches more bass than any other frog on the market. I catch around 15 good bass until one leg rips off. Don't be a cheap ass just replace the damn frog. Nothing made by man is built to last

From: Unknown 4/23/17

Comments: Pretty frog, but like everyone says, they lose legs easily. Durability to price ratio doesn't make sense unfortunately.

From: Scott: Virginia 12/6/16

Comments: This has no doubt the worst hook up ratio out of all of the frogs I own ,but on the other hand the bass hit it far more than any of the others.Great concept but the design simply just dosent follow through, save yourself the frustration and get the live target frog.

From: Calvin: Greenbay 12/19/16

Comments: These look great but they're garbage. Three aggressive bass in and they either lose a leg rip a leg or the tab that keeps them from sinking like a brick tips and then you've got a a frog you can only fish on the bottom. Yeah they catch fish and look great but for the price go buy a kopper or a spro. Just for your information they don't offer replacement legs. They said that the consumer isnt skilled enough to replace the legs when I wrote on to their customer service department. So now I have nine of these frogs that might as well be trash.

From: James: Hoover, AL 7/8/16

Comments: In an hour & a half, I caught 19 Largemouth Bass. I lost one poison frog & can't remember the other. Broke my line both times, and it was brand new 10 Lb Filament. Think the lightest was a little over 2 Lbs. That to me is one hell of a great bait!!!! Hands Down!!!! Yeah, ya have to squeeze water out after a few casts or more, but ain't no biggie. I went and bought 40 Lb Braided Line, and 6 more frogs, so I'm not going to even consider complaining.

From: Wayne: PA 6/16/16

Comments: Wow these reviews are harsh! Well, I used the green tea pocket frog for the first time yesterday and was impressed. Caught 50 bass, biggest being 4 pounds. The legs didn't rip off, barely any damage after all the fish I caught. Maybe I got an indestructible one, lol.

From: Zach: Chicago, IL 6/7/16

Comments: When I first saw this frog, it looked really cool. The action is great in the water, but really not durable. The legs fly off on casts (not even strikes) and I find they take on water pretty easily. If you want a reliable frog, stick with the Koppers LIVETARGET frogs; best on the market! I think it is really best to superglue the legs on for added durability. They won't fly off. Superglue them RIGHT out of the package, do that with any baits that have rubber inserts.

From: Noah: Canada 2/29/16

Comments: Great frog, caught uncountable fish on one frog. When people say the durability isn't great I partially agree. It mostly depends on what you get when you buy the frog. For example I bought a combat frog & when I saw it, it looked squished in the package and ended up being lopsided. One side was bigger than the other. But overall, best frog I have ever used and only frog I use now durability is great. If any part of the frog rips try using mend-it glue it should fix it.

From: Robert: Brentwood, TN 2/15/16

Comments: Good concept but not durable at all. It is a one shot frog, legs ripped at the first fish or even strike. Very sad because this bait attracts fish. Won't buy it anymore except if they improve the durability.

From: Ben: France 10/17/15

Comments: Well like many other have stated the legs on these and the fact they fill with water makes these disappointing. I have cast these out several trip and only thing Ive gotten so far is an actual bullfrog. Dont seem to have much luck with bass compared to other baits like the live target frogs.

From: Jeremiah: Haysville, KS 10/11/15

Comments: great bait for siting and retrieving we were in a small pond in California that's not very deep and lots of weeds so I tied on one of these and caught 20 3 + pound fish and a big bullfrog works great

From: Colt: WA 8/13/15

Comments: My son and I were thrilled to each buy one these frogs. I wasn't happy. The legs were out of shape and after one trip, it no longer sat correctly in the water. It would flip with every twitch. Stick with a traditional, hollow body frog like a pad crasher, spro, or sexy frog.

From: Roger: Lafayette, LA 7/30/15

Comments: Good frog. Had tons of strikes on this frog, but the durability of this frog is terrible. After 2 days of using this frog the frog hooks came out of the body of the frog. This frog also seems to float on its back half the time.

From: Raul: CA 7/12/15

Comments: The frog keeps filling up with water after the 1st cast. I tried taking the weight out of the frog and same results. With the water in it, it is not a top lures but swims 3 inch  below the surface.

From: Brandon: On, Canada 7/8/15

Comments: It took about three casts before I had a huge bass it. Sadly I missed it, I thought I had to get use to the new frog. on my fourth hit I actually got the hook to set and caught a 7lb. beast. The next 20 takes it didn't set. I had fish take line after I set the hook but it would go slack and never actually stay on. I wouldn't recommend buying these frogs they get hit but don't hook up as nice as booyah pad crasher frogs.

From: Wes: Toledo, OH 6/29/15

Comments: the frog itself looks great in the water but the fact that it fills with water every cast and that the first time I used mine the little fish bit off one of the legs, disappointed.

From: Josh: WI 6/27/15

Comments: not bad at first looks nice and swam nice at first. A week after I bought I a pike hit it and destroyed it, bad frog get a booyah instead.

From: William: MN 6/25/15

Comments: The only reason these fill with water is because the weight in the bottom pops into the the frog, it's super simple to pop back in. #2 the legs on the original lunkerhunt frog and combat frog are very durable, but the legs on the pocket frog honestly suck, it's a great open water/sparse pad/ cast into brush on shoreline frog but when it comes to the heavy stuff the legs just break and come off and little fish Sunfish and small bass tear them off. And #3 to solve hook up proplems just bend hooks up, and no it doesn't effect the weedless ness off it, there is still room. Over all it's a really good frog just make some little adjustments and learn the frog and you'll be fine only complaint is the legs on the pocket frogs, I think they should use elastic plastic for there legs, but hey I'm not the CEO of lunkerhunt here. I will be buying more pocket frogs tho just because they work so well.

From: Keagan: Harrisburg, PA 6/19/15

Comments: Have to give this high priced frog a D-. Third cast with this frog the weight was lost which hinders your cast ability. The legs were removed by short hitting bass on the 2nd hit, rendering this a useless piece of plastic in my tackle box. Looks really nice in the package and it caught the main thing, ME. Not happy with this piece of fishing equipment cannot and will not recommend this product. NO durability at all.

From: Robert: Sterlington, LA 5/31/15

Comments: one of the best fogs on the market super soft excellent hookups stays afloat I had the legs torn off from a giant bass and still caught big bass without the legs awesome realistic frog

From: David: Chester, VA 5/26/15

Comments: I purchased the green tea frog 3weeks ago. the first heavy strike the frog took, one of the legs was bitten completely off. Contacted customer service right away & even sent pictures. They offered no help in replacing the frog & did not stand behind their product. Wasn't worth the $8 spent to use only once. Wont purchase another.

From: Kevin: Indianola, IA 5/18/15

Comments: I bought one in the summer and thought it was horrible. I tried it out in at least 5 different locations, but only caught one bass. The legs don't even work, it fills with water, and it turns upside down. Don't waste your money on this frog. Get a strike king sexy frog, a live target, or a booyah pad crasher.

From: Ben: IN 3/10/15

Comments: This frog is extremely overrated. I purchased this frog for fishing lily pads and grass mats in the summer and the first few casts I had with it, it rolled over on its back. I tried tying different knots on the frog to see if it would change the action but nothing changed. This frog is not worth the money and I would recommend any other hollow bodied frog.

From: Tom: Riever, TX 3/8/15

Comments: This is a fine little frog. The legs are real life like. Mine lasted for about 7 or so small bass until one leg came off and it got real chewed up. It was chewed up to the point that it would fill up with water and sink just below the surface. I'd give it a 45, it'd get a 55 if it was more durable.

From: G: NC 3/4/15

Comments: Great overall frog! Good hooks, body and hook up ratio. Very realistic color and great action in the water. But be careful, the feet can tear off if a bass only bites the legs..

From: Nathan: Orlando, FL 11/22/14

Comments: Great overall frog! Good hooks, body and hook up ratio. Very realistic color and great action in the water. But be careful, the feet can tear off if a bass only bites the legs..

From: Nathan: Orlando, FL 11/22/14

Comments: This frog is just awesome. I've landed so many 4lb bass on this thing until i lost it to a giant. its obvious you cant walk this frog because of the legs but if u give it a solid tug the legs extend and the fish explode on it. great frog

From: Nick: Richmond, TX 9/17/14

Comments:  Best frog I have used yet. Super soft body, super sharp hooks, and probably the best hookup ratio of any frog I've used. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. I love the swimming action of these lures. The legs do what they're supposed to. Yes they get some water in them, but I honestly think the water helps. Adds weight and helps cast even further. Whenever you stop your retrieve, the head sits upright out of the water, while the body and legs are down in the water, just like a real frog. I've found these work best if you reel them with a steady retrieve and give it a light downward twitch as you retrieve. It swims at or maybe an inch deep and creates a perfect wake and looks so realistic because of the kicking legs. Drives the bass crazy. I'll be picking up more of these for sure!

From: Seth: Pittsburgh, PA 9/8/14

Comments: he legs that come with this frog are garbage, but if they are replaced with the normal skirt material used for frog legs then this frog is pretty much exactly the same as the medium sized livetarget frog for a cheaper price. After I replaced the legs, this became my go to frog

From: Jake: Amston, CT 7/4/14

Comments: If you like walking your frogs upside down while the legs don't work at all, then this is the frog for you. If your like the rest of us who want their frogs right side up and to have the action they "claim" to have then buy a live target, phatfrog, or a sumo frog.

From: Dany: NY 6/19/14

Comments: I bought this frog over the winter thinking about the new leg design and it looked really good in the video. I first tested it out last weekend and I have only one thing to say about this frog. It is by far the worst frog I have in my box. You cannot pop this frog or walk it. The legs don't move on it and it picks up all the weeds and slop it goes through. Worst 7 dollars I've spent. Don't waste your time.

From: Taylor: USA 6/18/14

Comments: This frog is amazing. The color "Green Tea" looks just like the species of frog called the Green frog. it does not fill with water past the annoying point but water does get in but is easily squeezed out. I had 3 but a pickerel sliced the left leg which made it weak and easily ripped off. both legs are now attached inside as one piece aswell. So the lunker hunt frog is my go to topwater frog, fished with 50lb braid with a 20lb mono leader its deadly!

From: Tyler: Belchertown, MA 6/10/14

Comments: The Lunker Lure Frog does have the action the lure promises. The legs kick and retract like a real frog. The lure also fills with water faster than any other frog I have ever seen. On my 3rd cadence with this frog it had filled with water and sunk about a foot in the water. I know some anglers like the sinking/diving frog lures but I am not a fan. 6/10 Rating. There are better frogs on the market.

From: Yakenstein: Hickory, NC 6/6/14

Comments: I bought the pocket frog version to fish on light tackle and it has been a fun lure to fish. First four fish I hooked came off right at the shore. I bent the hooks out to open the gap and landed the next four. I haven't had the issues with the body filling up or the legs coming off like others. I would say it performs better in open water and sparse weeds.

From: Evan: Fort Worth, TX 5/16/14

Comments: At first glance, the frog looked really nice and really well made. Took it out on the water last week and was disappointed. Was fishing sparse lily pads and the frog filled up with water and would occasionally sink. It would also flip upside down a lot of the time. Only impressed with the way the legs kicked in open water.

From: Sunny: NY 5/8/14

Comments: The frog did fill up with water after the first fish, I have the toad color and the green tea, had to sharpen the hooks as well.  Seems low quality even for the good price point, bad hooks and I could not get the thing to stop filling with water after one submersion.

From: Davey: Stockton, CA 5/5/14

Comments: Its not going to replace a Spro or Koppers in my lineup as was originally intended but I am starting to use it as a "subsurface swimming frog". It fills up with water way too fast and the legs are barely attached. Superglue the legs in. It swims beautifully and does elicit strikes.

From: Ric: NJ 5/2/14

Comments: Frog looked great in the package and not bad on its first test in open water. First cast up in to some small patch of weeds form last season, started to pop it thru, one leg came off after some dead grass caught on it! I replaced the legs with skirt material, we'll see if it fishes better, it does have a nice soft body. My rating so far... Poor to say the least.

From: Rox: Suffield, CT 5/1/14

Comments: I typically use SPRO frogs, but wanted to try this unique Lunker Frog. I live in central Florida and get considerable action by popping hollow frogs through grassy areas. Action does not alway equate to solid hooks, since the bass often knock the frog out of the way during strikes. Today I tried the Lunker Frog, and experienced several solid hook-ups. After four catches between two and four pounds, the frog was still in good shape. Yes, I had to re-adjust the soft body between the hooks, but it still tracked well and remained buoyant. It did not get caught-up in thick weeds or grass, and the small size appeared to aid solid hook-ups. Good action and performance. Thankfully, I purchased two, in case I lose one on an active day.

From: Curt: Ocala, FL 4/25/14

Comments: I wanted to love this frog...It looks great sitting on the water, leg action is awesome, but at a fast retrieve, it will belly up on me and almost do a 360. I don't mind that it takes on a little water a lot of frogs do, but I want a frog that will be consistently upright. I still will throw this frog , but I will probably default to spro/ live target first.

From: Johan: Santa Rosa, CA

Comments: This frog fills up with water. I can handle squeezing the water out every cast or so but this frog cant even stay on top of the water for a full cast retrieve. I maybe get 2 pops with this frog until it sinks. This frog has great action, I probabl yjust got a defected frog.

From: Anthony: FL

Comments: Been perfect with this frog. Every time out I've had great success. Thx TW.

From: Charlie: AL

Comments: True to its name. This is an unbelievable frog. I've had amazing success this past weekend throwing this frog. Best open water frog I've ever seen, the action is perfect.

From: Jared: AL

Comments: Great in grass. Caught my biggest LM to date on it. Would recommend.

From: Jon: Browndell, TX

Comments: I'm definitely not the competition as some say in earlier reviews, but I've had terrible results w/ these frogs, fill w/ water and sink extremely fast, I threw mine away, there are better frogs out there.

From: Doug: Okeechobee

Comments: great weekend throwing the poison Color frog. Was bagging buckets.

From: Jeff: Albany, New York

Comments: Not very impressed at all, if you are a real frog fisherman you know what I am talking about.  It is not very versatile in how it can be worked, it takes on water on almost every cast, and I ripped a leg off pulling it out of thick cover.  I tried over an over but could not gain any type of confidence in this frog.

Comments: I tried to fish with this frog Saturday but after the first cast the frog was filling up with water and sinking below the surface every time. I had high hopes for this frog but was let down. Now it's a nice tackle box ornament.

Comments: Great frog, very impressed. Thanks

Comments: Is it just me or does it sound like a bunch of competitor pro staff complaining here. I got my frog about a month ago and have not had any issues with it. Only question I have is when can I get another Croaker?

From: John: Minnetonka,MN

Comments: Frog is great.  Bought 2 colors and legs have been totally fine.  Prb pulled in 10-12 fish on each color over the weekend. Only tried the Lunker Frog.

Comments: it's pretty obvious which reviews are real reviews and which are fake ones done by the company. My experience is the same as all the others- looks great but has serious durability issues and takes on water.

From: Brian: GA

Comments: Purchased the pocket and Lunker frog last month and all I can say is wow.  I've had great success fishing both sizes and the top water bite is definitely on in my area.  Hands down the best frog on the market.

From: Jim: Carisle, PA

Comments: Jumped on the opportunity to get 2 of these frogs just in time for early fall bite. After reading reviews, I added super glue where the legs meet the body. On the slop, this frogs lands upside down 50/50. Usually when the frogs gets to open water, it will true itself right side up; however, it takes on water pretty quick. I tried 'em and would not recommend. I will go back to my River2Sea or Koppers hollow-belly frogs.

Comments: I was really impressed by the action and looks of this lure. The frog started taking on a lot of water and by the third fish the legs were gone. For an $8 lure you'd think it would be more durable. They just want you to buy a new one so they can make more money off you.

From: Nick: MI, USA

Comments: best frog I've ever used. Paint jobs are super realistic and hook up ratios are great. I've caught some huge fish with these and never had any problems.

From: Warren: NJ, USA

Comments: These frogs look and work great, however the second bass that hit it tore one leg off and the plug on the bottom of the frog was gone.  Like most other reviews state, these are not durable at all & i wont be buying more.

From: Tony: Chicago

Comments: This frog looks and swims awesome. Unfortunately it doesn't hold up very well and their Customer Service STINKS! First fish bent the heck out of my hooks and my second tore the legs out of it. This is a two fish throw away lure! At $8.00 you would think it should hold up a little better. I wont be buying anymore!!

From: John: Folsom, NJ

Comments: Great looking lure, It probably would have worked except that on my 3rd cast the plug in the back of the bait broke off so the hollow body fills with water and it no longer performs as designed.  Not what I expected to have happen.  Maybe I got a defective one but if this is the quality of this bait I wouldn't recommend it or buy any others.

Comments: This is the Best frog that I ever used, I fish on the Potomac River where Frog fishing is key, the first tournament that I've used the Lunker Hunt Frog I had a third place finish, I wanted to keep this product a secrete, but my social media friends and followers now know how great this Frog is Thanks Lunker Hunt!!!!

From: Marvin: Fredericksburg Virginia

Comments: update on my last post: got a hit from a small bass two weeks ago, both legs popped right out. if I ever buy another, I'll definitely superglue the legs

From: J: IL

Comments: Incredible realism. They straight up munch these things. However, before you put it in the water, take the legs out, epoxy them in place and the nose. Makes for a much longer lasting and sealed bait.

From: Zach: Johnsburg Il, United states

Comments: Tried out the Lunker hunt Fire Belly. Spent the day with the boat parallel to the bank throwing over weed beds up shallow all the way to 6' deep. Frogs held up real well to some solid fish. With the cloudy water the fish were dialing in on the intense red of the Fire belly. Outfished the live target all day, perhaps the kicking of the legs was a factor as well. Would recommend these as a go to tournament frog to cover water and fish the nasty stuff.

From: Andrew: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Comments: As a serious shallow water fisherman, this frog is the most realistic frog I have fished with.  Great action on the kicking legs, good sized profile and the way the frog sits with the legs hanging makes it irresistible.  In addition to being a great tool to use around lily pads, I have been having a lot of luck using the frog in deeper water over thick weed beds.  The fish tend to hit on the pause when the legs are hanging so make sure to slow down and let the lure do its thing.
