Overview
Tempting fish that are keyed-in on larger bait, the Megabass Kanata Jerkbait offers a large, attention-grabbing 6-1/3” profile with the action the match. Built with finely tuned flat sides, the Megabass Kanata Jerkbait produces a monstrous flash, whether it is burned over grass beds or worked like a traditional jerkbait.
Moving through the water with minimal resistance thanks to its streamlined body, the Megabass Kanata Jerkbatit allows for a fast, action-packed retrieve that will not put undue stress on your wrist or forearm. Sharp rod work fuels an energetic darting action, kicking side-to-side with huge water displacement and less forward travel than an Ito Vision 110. On the pause, the Megabass Kanata Jerkbait lifts its head and rises, adding a unique action to the mix.
Engineered with an aerodynamic form and custom-fitted with triple-oscillating tungsten balancers, the Megabass Kanata Jerkbait delivers long-distance casts with minimal effort. Offered in a number of highly detailed colors, the Megabass Kanata Jerkbait brings a new size and sensation to the jerkbait game.

Comments: Megabass lures have a cool factor that few other companies can match and this jerkbait is no exception. Looks and action are great. But just like other megabass lures durability leaves a lot to be desired. Hooks and split rings absolutely will not hold up, which I can live with, but what I can't stand is the actual hook hanger hardware is also not very strong and gets twisted around easily. It really is too bad because I do love the action and this lure casts quite well. It will catch fish, but then again so will lucky craft and others at a lesser price point. And really lucky craft and numerous other companies actually do make a better made product capable of landing bigger and more fish before the lure fails. If megabass could just manage to make a lure capable of holding up to some harder fighting and bigger fish I'd be sold on their products.

Comments: Great side to side action for a jerkbait of this size. It has nice seductive roll when slowly retrieved. If you're fishing strictly freshwater bass the stock hardware is adequate. Otherwise they are junk when musky/pike fishing with heavy braid.

Comments: Definitely a great bait, although I know the price point is a turn off for some people. This bait is slow float, and excels when worked quickly through shallow cover. Very good roll and shimmy, and as mentioned casts a mile. If you are targeting bigger fish, you must upgrade hooks, and more importantly split rings. Surprised they were junk on a bait this high of quality. 2 pike over 10 lbs and hooks were straightened or ripped completely off.

Comments: Awesome bait - totally agree with poster below word for word . Cast extremely far - lotta fun distance for a jerk bait of this size . typical megabass quality . Expensive but get what you pay for - hooks are great .. no need to change out . I bought this one for stripers but even the little one pound large mouths hit it . Everybody should have at least 1 katana in your tackle box .. throwing mine on a shimano bantam & Zodias 7'2 H = stripers all day on lake mead

Comments: Great action... Much more erratic than the Vision 110. Casts a mile with a flick of the wrist. Awesome jerkbait for covering water. Don't be afraid of the size; fish of all sizes will come after it. Smallmouth love it! Switch out the stock hooks with #2 Owner ST-56's to suspend/super slow float it.

Comments: Bait has fantastic action. Has a great roll and shimmy to it. With hard twitches of the rod this thing is really erratic. Throwing it on 10lb InvizX gets down to about 5 feet and has a slow float when paused. Casts a MILE! Yeah it weighs 1oz so naturally you are going to be able to hurl this thing but trust me it's more than that. You can cast this thing straight into the stiffest wind without a problem. Can cover a lot of water with the extra long casts. Great bait.
