The product of countless hours of research and development, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait delivers unique design and big fish attraction all rolled into one incredibly realistic package. Molded around an internal harness, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait eliminates the ripping and tearing that can be caused by inserts and provides direct connection to the bait.Utilizing Megabass’ Maghold technology, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait features a super-strong magnet that hugs the treble hook close to the body of the bait. This streamlined presentation allows the Megabass Magdraft to move through snaggy areas with less chance of getting hung-up and also hides hardware from discerning predators.Equipped with a tournament-grade swivel as well, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait eliminates a fish’s ability to use the bait as leverage, resulting in a higher hook-to-land ratio. On the sides, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait is fitted with two side fins that act as weedguards and help stabilize the action at high speeds. As lifelike as they come, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait features 3-D eyes and comes in a number of highly detailed pours that will match-the-hatch perfectly. Combining the advanced engineering of a hardbait with the smooth movement of a softbait, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait delivers an ultra-realistic presentation that outperforms all the rest.
Comments: So I thought hey Megabass right love my 110 this must be a homerun albeit expensive right? Nothing special about it at all. Have yet to get even a nibble off this.
From: Eins: NY 10/3/23
Comments: Lure needs to be burned or the stiff boot-tail has no action. Seriously. Other boot-tails are softer with more action like the sleeper gill. Why can't it have an action boot tail like that? I will not buy more.
From: Richard: NJ 9/25/23
Comments: Not the most durable but it does have appeal and the smaller sizes don't require swimbait gear to fish. You'll actually get more life out of the bait if you use 14-17lb flouro and a little bite lighter rod than your standard swimbait or flippin stick. I mostly throw the 6" and fish it much as I would a spinnerbait or big swim jig. It's also a super useful search bait in clear water around the spawn, where I can bomb long casts across likely staging areas and figure out where exactly they are sitting by watching for followers. If you need to fish it a little faster, stick a pair of tungsten nail weights above the hook holder. You can also add a #2 Hyperwire to the hook assembly and that will allow you to bury a tine in the belly, which reduces fouling caused by the hook coming off the magnet. Buy some Mend It and keep it handy to make repairs as well.
From: Chris: Lanctucky, CA 8/17/23
Comments: So it's an absolute fish catching machine! But you buy a new one every time you go fishing if your lucky. I caught a one pounder on it and the eye and magnet fell out then caught a 4 pounder and the swimbait went one way and the fish the other. Go with the freestyle with an 8/0. Just horrid durability.
From: Tyler: Massachusetts 7/29/23
Comments: Great action but poor durability. The fish will smash it, but you will be lucky to get 2-3 fish on a single bait before the internal hardware is ripped out. You are better off getting the freestyle magdrafts. Then you get two for the price of one. If you don't take this advice, at least buy a bottle of mend it so you can repair the pre-rigged version after your first fish and convert it to a weedless weighted rig when it fails. (Notice I did say IF it fails)
From: Michael: Orlando, FL, USA 6/18/23
Comments: Great bait with amazing action but you better buy a dozen of them at one time. I took one of the 6" out of the package and tied it first thing made about 10 cast and caught a 4 pounder. One fish destroyed the bait tore the wire harness out, lost the magnet and it never ran right again. For $15+ a each you would think they would last longer. Disappointed.
From: Jeff: Missouri 6/5/23
Comments: I'm not sure why, but the magnets that help hold the hook to the underbelly have come loose. Two of my 8" Magdrafts are now missing the magnet, and an additional 8" Magdraft has the magnet, but it has jarred away from the small.keeper its supposed to sit in. Don't get me started with the 6" Magdraft. The magnets are totally gone, but the baits are still fishable. WARNING: superglue your magnets before they dislodge themselves
From: Bryan: Texas 8/23/22
Comments: first time using it hooked a fish and it popped off, but the entire day i was trying to get it to swim rite. The only way i could get it to work is reel super slowly or it will spin around in the water. I was very disappointed DO NOT BUY IF YOU WANT TO FISH IT FAST
From: Ryan: Texas 8/5/22
Comments: Bought a few 6" and 8". A little birdie told me about these. Quite spendy. Especially the 8". But if you're wanting to target larger bass these are definitely worthy. I had 5 bites on the 8" in a morning and early afternoon of fishing. 2 balled up the tail. Assuming they were to small to get it in there mouth. First big fish got off after 15-18 reels. Bummer. Second big fish got in the boat. 4.5 lb 21" largie. Heck ya.... Third fish was 5 plus easy. She unfortunately popped the hook at the boat. Didn't have her pegged good enough. But all in all successful day with a new ginormous bait. Definitely recommend a 200 series reel, 15-20 lb. Fluorocarbon and a 7'10" to 8' rod with a 3 ounce bait capability and a little tip for casting. Watch Chris Zaldains video. Do what he says. And you'll be successful...

Comments: I bought 3 of these last year. Didn't get any bites on either 6in or 8in all last year. I kept the third one in my truck for a just in case I need it scenario. Well went fishing today because my fishing app said it was supposed to be a great day to go. Saw the magdraft laying in my truck. Took it out of the package and tied it on just to try it again. After about 10 minutes I felt a small tick on my line. Set the hook into the biggest bass of my life. I was helpless when I saw her jump and shake my bait loose. After I had a small breakdown, I threw back out on the other side of where I was standing. Felt a big thump, set the hook on what felt like a snag, but it wasn't. Fish dogged me. Again I was helpless as it snapped my rod(the first time that's happened) and then my line snapped. Fellas these things are legit. Especially in the spring. I bought 3 more right after breaking my rod. Word to the wise though, bring appropriate gear. These things aren't light. Get a rod that can throw at least 2oz when using the 6 inch magdraft.
From: Jeremy : MO 5/2/22
Comments: Great bait, but either buy a lot of them or be prepared to fix them. The magnet pulls out of the bait after a few fish. Thought that I just got a bad one so tied on another and the same thing happened on 3 baits in a row. They should have attached the magnet to the harness.
From: Jeremy: Belleville 1/3/22
Comments: One of the best swimbaits on the market! I have lost count of the quality fish Ive caught of them. Catches fish from January till December. Buy some mend-it for reapirs. Also your arm will be sore from all the bites!
From: Unknown: Ohio 8/2/21
Comments: Super weak magnet might as well not even be there which is sad seeing as how they use it as a selling feature otherwise it's a solid lure
Comments: Just picked up a few of these guys in a couple different colors. Only fished them for a few hours, I did get a few bites. The action on these guys is very good. I use an 8" 3/4 ounce owner beast hook and It pairs very well. I will be expecting some good size fish on these baits!!
From: Luke: California 5/29/21
Comments: Fished for two days in windy weather (vacation week) fishing bud ask me to pick a couple of Megdraft. The second cast i caught a 2.6 lb bass and on his 5th cast he caught a 2lb bass. We caught 5 more before days end. I use a Shimano 4.7 gear ratio and it runs perfect.
From: Rob 4/9/21
Comments: I love this bait but for the 8 inch Magdraft could have better packaging. Otherwise then that the swim is great love how the head and tail move and are pretty tough. I throw these baits in northern IL for pike and bass and they can last a while without getting ripped up.From: Bryan: Illinois 1/22/21
Comments:This baits work amazing! I have caught alot of fish on this bait but the magnet... I've never had the magnet fall off or come out. But the magnet on this bait it's so weak. Sometimes you'll get one that will stick and the magnet would be really good but some of them just dont wanna hold the hook up. Megabass! If you see this! Pleeease pleeease find a solution! Anyways I'll continue buying this bait though. From: Junior 10/13/20Comments:I wanted to try them and TW didn't have them at the time. So I tried the 1st one and it will not run true no matter how you retrieve it. So a week later I tried the second one and it will not run true, mostly on its side. I've tried 3 different type lines and multiple types of knots, same thing. Also have talked to several people and they had the same problem. I hate to spend $13 on a lure and it does not perform as it should or have to modify it to make it work properly. So, I am not satisfied with this lure. I read the comments below and again I should not have to modify them to make them run true. Buy this lure at your own risk. From: Duncan: North Carolina 7/21/20
Comments:Rigged the 6 inch version weedless with a owner beast hook and slow rolling it on the bottom it's a killer for this cold weather
From: Jose - Austin, TX 1/13/19
Comments: Heck of a bait, this thing can be dragged at slow speeds and burned at high speeds and be absolutely killer on those lazy hunkered down fish in the winter time. Only complaint is the hook placement, ive lost quite a few fish from the hook placement but is an easy fix if you add another swivel to get that hook placement further down the belly, also tying in some red hackle with red flashabou on the treb makes a huge difference and acts as bleeding gills or a pre injured bait as well as the vmc barbarian treble hook in size 2.
From: Antonio - Tampa, FL 12/15/18
Comments:This is definitely not your typical boot tail styled bait as people have mentioned. But it for sure has a time and place. Fished the 8 inch last night for the first time in a lake that has owned me the last few years and nailed an 11.44 lb walleye which is what I was targeting. The roll and shimmy on this bait when retrieved at the right pace is incredible. It is not a slow roll bait. It's almost more of a search bait with how fast you can/must fish it.
From: Andrew:FORT COLLINS12/8/18
Comments:This bait is amazing once you learn the correct technique. You need to find the right retrieve or it will roll. You can't burn it you have to find the sweet spot to maximize its amazing action. For the magnet you need to superglue or mend-it that will fix the magnet from coming out.
From: Tod:Goffstown NH3/31/18
Comments:Hands down the best soft bait with harness 8" and 10" . Fished them for a year or more now haven't had any problems caught hundreds of fish on them bass and stripers . slow roll good to go
From: sterling: windsor Va 2/27/18
Comments: Bought one in the 6" version. Throwing it on a 6.3:1 reel and I couldn't keep the bait from rolling over at anything other than a crawling retrieve. Magnet isn't strong enough to keep the hook in place because the plastic between the magnet and hook is too thick and the hook comes out of a place on just about every cast. Recommend taking the harness out and putting a 8/0 weighted OWNER Beast Hook in if you're having problems with getting it to run true. Hoping Megabass will release a harness less version in the future because the action on this bait is money.
From: John: Evans, GA 2/7/18
Comments: I like it but the magnet lets go of the hook a lot and the bait tends to roll on its side during the retrieve. Its good but could be improved.
From: Eric: WI 7/1/17
Comments:Take the harness out. Rig it weedless. Your welcome.
From: Zane: Oklahoma 5/14/17
Comments:First time using this swimbait today, I used the 6" and pulled an 8lbs, 2 5lbs, a 4lbs, and a few dinks. All of those were within an hour. Absolutely amazing lure. My only issue was the magnet came out during one of the fights but this lure is well worth its price. Can't wait to order more!!!!!!
From: Toddy - 5/13/17
Comments:I purchased the 6" in nude bass. I L O V E, Love this bait! Outstanding thump, sweet looking wobble and the magnetic hook system is just plain neat. I caught 10 plus LMB's and the bait still looks new. Going to buy a few more. Well done Megabass! When they eat this, it's with bad intentions...
From: Leeland: Parker Co. 4/2/17
Comments:I'm gonna be honest I'm sixteen and saved up for on of these baits. The first day after about 50 cast the magnet came out of the bait. I expected more for such a highly praised brand of baits.
From: Jake: ID 8/29/16
Comments:It was pretty good when swam at right speed. However, it lasted me 3 bites (about 1 hour of use). When a gar caught a hold of it, the plastic flew off the rig for the mag hold and was completely destroyed. I didn't even get to land the gar either. $13 gone on one fish
From: Brandon: FL 4/1/16
Comments:Awesome Bait. Love the paddle tail this bait has. great action. recently it caught me my personal best 11.7lber.pictures on my IG basstattzandbullyz. bait is tuff and durable.
From: Michael: USA 3/4/16
Comments:Good bait when swam at a certain speed. Just gotta find that speed, And it will swim straight. Otherwise, could luck to you. When you skip it, the hook sometimes falls out. Not as strong as advertised. Otherwise, good bait.
