Creating a swimbait that has the ability to put giant bass in the boat is becoming a trend amongst almost every tackle company. When you need a guarantee, you can always count on an Osprey swimbait. The Osprey Tournament Talon is by far one of the best swimbaits on the market and the color patterns are tried and true.
The Osprey Tournament Talon Top Hook has been responsible for some big paydays for tournament pro's and should account for many more. The Tournament Talon features a sharp top hook and has a belly ring for rigging a stinger treble or frog hook. At a price that is hard to beat, this is a bait that should be in every anglers tackle box.
Comments: Tournament Talon top hook is one of my favorite niche baits... gets eaten like crazy. My only gripe is that the new owners have changed the internal harness, and the magic of the bait lasts 1-2 decent fish. The hooks are cheap and there is no bottom hook hanger for a stinger. There's no need for it, but it also keeps the harness in the bait. Years ago the harness had small wires that protruded out of the bait and it held everything together. This is a great bait, but not as it stands right now.

Comments: I bought this bc of TB. Have thrown it a couple times. The bait has already separated from the insert from just casting, not from weeds pulling at it. On a medium to fast retrieve the bait gets a bit wonky. I bought the 6" does not grind bottom as I thought, but feels like more weightless, as most big swimbaits feel. This bait doesn't have any better action than a scottsboro, just seems to be that the Osprey brand was at the beginning of the swimbait game and is coasting on its history.

Comments: Listen! All the reviews are right. It tears up easy, and it catches absolute giants! If your willing to spend the money to catch giants this is a great bait! I would not throw it unless I felt like I was around good fish. On the very first cast I hooked and lost like a 3lber and a few cast later I caught a 9.70! Tried to throw it more and the bait was slit by the line tie. That was the only one I had, so I went home and glued it. I will be buying more! From: Jared: Texas 3/26/20
Comments: Awesome cold water bait. First time really using it got slammed at the end of a long cast with the 6in ... 6.2lb fish . Lost the bait short after that .. have already ordered several more . Big girls eat this bait .

Comments: Bought this bait as one of my first swim baits. I immediately had confidence in it when I tied it on. It's easy to fish and it always feels like there is potential to get bit. BUT... This bait is like it has a two piece mold. It is one piece of plastic on top, and it's somehow attached to the one on the bottom. After TWO small fish the pieces started to separate, and after the third the bait's top and bottom half completely came apart. Bait is unfishable and I cannot find even a trace of a way to contact the company online. Very disappointed.

Comments: Great swimbait for slow rolling the bottom. A bigger bait like this can make you skeptical like it did me for years, but I broke down and decided to try it. This is a big fish bait but I've also caught countless 2 pounders with the 6 inch. I always thought of these baits as a southern bait but they work well here in central Illinois.

Comments: I bought 2 of these, one in each size. I am not a fan of bottom hook soft swimbaits, so I figured this was worth a shot....I tied it on, and ran it slow and low on the bottom. After a few casts, I noticed the eyelet ripped the nose of the bait a little. I repaired it with some mend-it, and tied on the other one...well the same thing happened, except I kept throwing it and the front half of it filled up with mud and scum. I wish I could post pictures on here! I bought the shad color, and half of it is brownish green! Anyways, I tried throwing the repaired one, but it ended up ripping right away. I looked online to contact Osprey, but they were nowhere to be found, not even a facebook page. I don't like to write bad reviews if I can resolve my problem with the manufacturer, but these guys don't exist online. Needless to say, I wont be buying another one of these after blowing $40!
