Care required!I've been using these snaps for years and none has ever opened up by itself. A friend had it happened to him, but when he changed it, I pointed out he hadn't closed it properly. You have to make sure they ARE closed as they can be a little tricky and seem to be closed while they actually are not. You have to be careful to do the job correctly!

Comments: I have been used this for bass fishing for a few years now and never have a problem. I used it for many different lures such as crankbait, spinnerbait, popper, and even wacky worm. I can switch lures quickly, and my boat deck is less messy. I used mostly the 33lb test one. Wish they can produce a black one.

Comments: I use a lot of Owner products and have never had a problem. I snapped one of these onto a lure and tied it on with a palomar knot. When I cinched down the knot the clip came open as I pulled it tight. They went straight in the trash.

Comments: Bought a package to try. Great looking product but when I tried to boat flip a 2 1/2# spot it opened and I got to watch him swim away with my 110 Megabass in his mouth. I threw rest of package away. Can't afford to have a weak link like that.

Comments: I've tried just about all the kinds of snaps available, and this one is simply the best. Strong, quick and easy to use with all but a very few lures with tricky eye placement, they are well worth the price.

Comments: Ben a long time I have used these and my preference has changed. The smallest size is great for trout and what I was originally using the for. The middle size I use mostly for crank baits in the 1/2 OUNCE size along with poppers jerkbaits in the 110 size. The big #2 I have been using on 168 swivels and deps 175's. Never had an issue but one thing I have noticed is the small size can be unlatched by the tiptop if cranked up to far. Took me a while to figure out what was happening and only on the small ones. Never had a failure and mostly use them on moving baits. I did test the #2 fishing a hollow body frog and it held. Yanked a 4lber clean out of the water on hook set.

Comments: I'm surprised to see negative reviews on here. I've used these for the past few years in various sizes and have never had any issues. Highly recommend these. I like the smaller size/profile and they clip shut and stay shut.

Comments: Bought a few sizes of these to try them out, as I'm a fan of Owner products. My experience has been awful to say the least, losing one of the biggest bass of my life with the latch opening up! Also noticed afterwards, that the welded side broke & failed. Also had a smaller one open up while casting a topwater bait, after that, they were completely removed from my setups, I strongly urge you to do the same. I've been using the Molix hyper snap since with zero issues

Comments: I agree with Craig, I first bought 26 lb for haruan fishing the latch pull apart after a month of use then I bought 33lbs hoping for a better snap and lastly 46lbs all with the same issues, the average haruan i caught is just less than a kilo.

Comments: I bought the 26lb snaps for 15lb braid. The welded part of the snaps never failed, but they easily pull apart at the latch. I lost a few lures and a good striper because of this.

Comments: get rid of all your junk clips and buy tons of these got snagged up on some timber and tried to break it off and my rig came out with a broken off hook your line will give before these will

Comments: These snaps are awesome. They say you get what you pay for and these are not cheap, but i keep buying them two bags at a time. I have only lost one, and i give them to friends who also love them. I use these most on crank baits and remove the split ring. These are awesome for jerk-baits also. When you remove the split ring and use this snap, the balance and motion is still perfect. The smallest size is what i use most often and its tiny. I like these a lot better than speed clips because you can still do and undo them by hand and i need to use hemostats on the speed clips.
