These fine wire hooks from Owner America may be the perfect hook for dropshotting when you nose hook the bait. The bent down eye allows the hook to come off the line at an angle that exposes the hook point for perfect hooksets when you get bit. The hard, fine wire allows for an incredibly sharp point that is so necessary for good hook penetration when you are fishing with the light lines required with this finesse technique. These hooks also feature a hard corrosion resistant black finish that will help keep the point sharp and the hook strong. The large radius round bend will give you plenty of room for a deep bite in a big bass' upper lip and allow you to play the fish without worrying about losing it.
This is our best selling dropshot hook and it is available in the standard Pocket Pack or the very economical Pro Pack.
Comments: I use these in a size 6 when targeting bluegills and sunfish with a drop shot. Hooks are fantastic! The fish generally hook themselves and most times in the lip. If you've had problems with fish swallowing your hook, this type of hook will solve that issue. These REALLY make a huge difference vs cheap hooks.

Comments: When I first started to drop shot couple years back I bought some name brand "Drop Shot Finesse Hooks" and was loosing my Largemouth, Smally, and Spotted bass at the boat or when they jumped. After searching on line about drop shot hooks, one name came up every time "Mosquito Hooks by Owner". So I proceed to buy some size 1 and 1/0, and have never looked back! I cannot tell you how many times I have to use pliers to get the hook out of the roof of the mouth on bass! Go to Lake Vermilion, Mn to Musky and Walleye fish for week this past year, with not much luck on Musky, I went to meet my friends walleye fishing on one of the bays. My St Croix MLF Legend Elite spinning combo with Shimano Vanford 2500 was set up with drop shot and 1/0 Mosquito hook for bass fishing in the south, so I put live Leech on the drop shot hook and proceeded to wear the Walleye for the last 3 1/2 days of fishing. I caught over 100 Walleye and lost one fish. Funny thing is I purchased some Owner Mosquito Hooks in #2 and #4 just for the Walleye and never used them, if it's working do not change it. Owner Hook Company has earned a customer for life, even if I'm in my mid 50's I still have some purchasing time left.

Comments: I learned how to dropshot with this hook. Best fish was a 9 something. I have never broken a hook, nor had any issues with these hooks at all. I have probably owned over 50 packs of them through the years. I am just getting around to using them for wacky rigs and they are good for that, too. Strong and sharp.

Comments: I know there are good applications for this hook, and I've caught dozens of fish on them (#1 size). However, they break very easy. I've never had issues like this, even with other very light wire hooks. I had a bluegill break me off today just by running away with my bait. My drag was tight and I was using 6 pound mono, but an 8-9" gill shouldn't snap my hook, especially if I don't even lay into it. I've also broken the hooks when tying my knots tight. From: Josh: 6/4/20
Comments: Bought these for DS, they work well but I prefer the gama DS because of the diameter and there not offset. Other then live bait I've found these hooks to be great for wacky and neko rigging. The curved point makes gut hooking harder and allows you to reel set them. If they made bigger sizes I would tie 40lb mono on the shank for barbs and use them for chicken rigs and flippin. Get a pack I guarantee you will find a use for em. From: Rusty S: New Jersey 5/23/20
