The red Phenix Glass Crankbait Casting Rods deliver the attributes and features that discerning crankbait anglers can appreciate. Featuring 100% glass blanks that are still incredibly lightweight, their moderate actions and tapers allow bass to inhale the lure before you set the hook for surer hooksets. Once the fish is locked in, they also provide the proper amount of play to keep the tiny treble hooks locked in and the back bone to steer bass back to the boat. Also offering the extra long casting ability you need for fishing a crankbait, they load up well even with lighter baits, so you can cover more water and get your bait down to its desired depth. Premium Fuji SiC Guides deliver durable performance with minimal friction, and Fuji Trigger Reel Seats furnish a sturdy lightweight base for your reel. Now available in a classic cherry red with customized EVA cork handles, the red Phenix Glass Crankbait Casting Rods deliver the technique-specific performance and solid glass performance that make crankbaits come to life and put more fish in the boat.-Limited Lifetime Warranty with $55 fee
Comments: Beautiful red finish on this rod, looks amazing. This thing is like a noodle. It's almost hilarious how well it keeps fish pinned. Best crankbait rod out there.

Comments: 7-4" MH - Wow! At first impression on feel, aside from it being fiber glass it felt a little heavier due to the beefier guides. I had mixed feelings but decided to give it a shot since I didnt have too many other options with that price range. Also loved the color scheme they had on it. Paired the rod with a daiwa tatula sv tws with some custom tuning and it casts beautifully, and also very accurate. Very sensitive rod and it loads up perfectly when catching fish. I have yet to lose a fish on this rod once they're hooked. First fish I caught on this rod was a 24" walleye that decided it would hit on a chatterbait. Probably one of the best cranking rods within this price range, and if you can find a sale on it it's even better. Even for the full price it's well worth the $$$. Great finish on it with quality guides. Wish they made a slimmer and smaller profile one for running spinners and small cranks for trout/bass in creeks. From: Cheng Vang: Saint Paul 9/9/19
Comments: Had my first chance to fish my new 7' and 7'4" Phenix Glass Rods yesterday. WOW! I was amazed at how little effort it took to really "launch" crankbaits. The parabolic design also makes for effortless retrieves. Hope Phenix will bring out shorter models (6'8" or 6'10") for target fishing. Been bass fishing for 40 years and these are the best crankbait rods I've ever used!

Comments: i got this rod on my bday and i fished with it 3 times. i caught 2 fish on it before i noticed 2 inserts in the guides were missing. i don't treat my gear like garbage and especially since this is the most expensive rod i own i wouldn't treat it bad. the rod is also very heavy and isn't a sensitive as i was lead to believe. i got the 7'4" medium rod and i'm sending it back and not buying another phenix.
Comments: I would return this Rod tomorrow if I could! I have many Phenix rods and love the company. But I don't understand and I never have, why the hook holder is placed below the reel. But on top of that the problem with this one is, they placed the hook holder right by the butt of the handle, and literally every time I put my hand on the butt of the handle to cast, my hand grabs the hook holder. I can't stand it.

Comments: Just got my 7'4" delivered yesterday and all I can say is wow!! This is a beautiful rod the pictures don't do it justice. The reason I bought this glass rod is for chatterbait fishing. Been doing some research on Pro Brett Hite who is well known for his success with the chatterbait and he uses a glass rod so I liked the looks and price of this rod so I bought it and glad I did. All the eyes are double foot which is ok with me. The one thing I don't like about it is the hook keeper is located down low by the butt, I like it just in front of the reel. But I can live with it.
From: MikeB: Ky 4/6/17Comments: I was always a believer that I could throw Crankbaits on any rod, but when I bought this glass rod I was blown away at how much easier it was to crank all day with a rod built for cranking. Highly recommended and changing over to all Phenix

Comments: As a inshore saltwater fisherman, most of the time going after Speckled Sea Trout and Redfish, I don't like those stiff as a board graphite rods & looked long for a quality rod that's fiberglass. On the East coast never heard or seen a Phenix rod. I never owned a rod so pretty, I never owned a rod so Blingy! I love the red color, the action, the lightness... everything about it. I bought the rod also to match a tricked out Daiwa Zillion I just built with custom red-white-blue aluminum parts. This combo is a show stopper! I will buy more Phenix rods, its like getting a custom rod, that's more custom than you could think of.

Comments: I have to agree with Michael! I bought the 7'4". This rod is incredibly light and comfortable in the hand! I've been throwing 5 and 6 xds on it and so far haven't had any problem with fatigue. The parabolic bend is perfect for cranks! Love how sensitive it is also. So far I'm very impressed!

Comments: Awesome rod here, light weight, sensitive, comfortable. I was shocked that a glass rod could be this light, give one a try you really cant go wrong with one of these.
