Comments: This guys works just as well as the original Pop-R but has a longer profile. By saying it works just as well as the original Pop-R is no joke. I has an incredible sound and action, and catches tons of bass. One this that has changes is the different colors available, I not sure how important color is on a popper but we fishing people need to have a nice looking lure. It's durable, and casts well too.

Comments: I have 3 of these lures. With that internal weight, you can heave them a mile; even in wind. I use this larger Pop-R on sunny Summer days to find fish on points. This lure has become my favorite search bait for deep water Summer bass. I switched out the stock trebles, and my hookups improved. One of the best topwater values you can find.

Comments: Just got the 2500 version of this reel and wow- it's amazing. I thought, my Symetre 3000 is smooth and light, how better could it get. Let me tell you- LOTS better. Understandably this reel costs double, so it should perform better and it delivers. I've found myself grabbing this setup over my baitcasters (Curados) due to the sheer joy of using the Stradic. I've got it paired with an Avid X MLXF and what a combo. No regrets spending the $.

Comments: Glad to see these tackle warehouse. I've bought several over the last couple of years from different places and I have to admit that it is literally the only popper I buy now. I used to buy the regular pop-r but my tastes in topwaters started leaning towards the longer more sleek designs like shown in Zara spooks. I saw them show up first in the saltwater version then the freshwater version. I've caught a bunch of bass on both. The longer design makes for an easier walk the dog style body. I can throw them a mile which can make all the difference when targeting bass in clear water environments. I can't find anything as good for the price point particularly since I am a budget angler. This is the only popper that I can guarantee will get me bit when that topwater bite turns on.
