Overview

If you like the original River2Sea Whopper Plopper, then you’re going to love the River2Sea Double Plopper Buzzbait. Built with two counter-rotating plopper blades to create twice the disruption, the River2Sea Double Plopper Buzzbait offers an incredibly weedless presentation that can be fished super-fast, incredibly-slow, or with a dead-stop – because it floats!

Quite possibly one of the most versatile topwater lures on the market, the River2Sea Double Plopper Buzzbait can be bombed over open water, crawled over mats, or twitched and paused in the backs of pockets to incite explosive blow-ups. Backed by a super-sharp River2Sea Big Bite 2X strong hook, the River2Sea Double Plopper Buzzbait delivers a double-dose of disruption to give anglers twice the action and twice the excitement.

Comments: This bait sits on my shelf of baits at home ... the shelf is labeled "Great Concept, Horrible Execution" - the bait rolls on it's side, doesn't cast worth a darn, and nearly always has some type of issue. I have other buzzbaits and poppers that work better. Although I originally liked the idea of the bait, I can't use it effectively on the water. So, it sits on a pegboard in the garage to remind me not to waste time or money on it.

Comments: Read the reviews! Add a zoom horny toad and a 1/0 stinger hook. Throw it on 30# braid. This is a finesse buzz bait and best thrown in flat calm conditions. Yes, you need to adjust it. It will break. It is for finesse application and the fish think it is a bird. Catch em!

From: Ben: Pasadena, CA 7/7/20

Comments: Its too dang light to throw. You have to make short casts but thats not too bad if close to cover. It just needs to beef up a bit and it would be great. Good concept, bad bait.

From: Kyle: Paso Robles, CA 3/29/20

Comments: This bait is junk just trying to apply the pooper plopper to another useless method for more sales.

From: Chabs: Vienna, VA 6/27/18

Comments: A gimmick. Rarely runs true. Wants to run on its side. I'm being serious--do not waste your money.

From: Brandon: Denton, TX 4/6/18

Comments: bait rolls over to much on retrieve

From: Corey: TN 4/2/18

Comments: Only swim jig you will ever need. I've used several brands such as Dirty jigs CA swim jig, Nichols, Revenge, 4x4, greenfish, just to name a few. Nothing touches the performance u get from a Divine swim jig. The bait keeper is hands down the best on the market for swim jigs. No glue, tooth picks, nothing needed to make that trailer stick. Ive got a SK rage swimmer tied on mine that has been through 7 fish and counting and 3 over 4lbs and still no need to switch it. I am dragging this thing through heavy brush also and no slippage on my trailer. Only keeper comparable is a Nichols Saber that has the toothpick insert hole on it. I often add a blade to mine and it runs just as true as without. I highly recommend them!!

Comments: Garbage  the wires are crap bend and break way to easy.  I was excited because I love the whopper plopper  don't waste your money on these buy another whopper plopper or a Nichols buzz.

From: Steven: Wade 2/21/18

Comments: I've had this lure for months and looks almost as good as the day I got it............mostly because I've never received so much as a single bite off of it.  I wouldn't have sought this bait out, but it showed up in one of my subscription boxes. I'm thinking of throwing it dangerously close to overhanging trees, this season.  Maybe it'll get stuck and break off! It'll certainly make a better tree ornament than a lure!

From: Jim: Pittsburgh, PA 2/7/18

Comments: Wires don't hold up. Like everyone's said, after one fish, it's all bent up if it don't break. Very great bait though ugh

From: Piccolo Pete 7/21/17

Comments: fish absolutely love this bait but it's not durable at all. i've had 2 break, both within 3 fish. won't be buying any more until they beef these up a bit

From: derek 7/9/17

Comments: NICE ACTION BUT, I WISH THE FACE OF THIS GREAT LOOKING LURE WAS FACING DOWN !

From: BRIAN R: OH 7/8/17

Comments: I bought $180 worth of these and other poppers. I haven't caught any fish. Had them out 3 times. I also had the problem of them rolling over on the retrieve. I like all the other poppers I have but this rolling over thing has me really aggravated. Especially at this price

From: Shane: Albany 6/5/17

Comments: This bait had great action and caught 2 fish. Unfortunately, the wires bent like crazy on the first fish. The second fish completely broke both arms off.

From: Josy: LINCOLN 4/20/17

Comments: I tossed this for the first time today. I did not know it floats. It was pretty cool to be able to stop it & let it sit there. It runs pretty true. If it lands weird you simply stop it, it flows back the right way & starts running true again. It is pretty subtle, but leaves a nice bubble trial. I would recommend it!

From: Peter: Cleveland, OH 9/5/16

Comments: i bought this bait really exited to have something different but don't get this bait i caught a 2lber on it & both the wires holding the mini ploppers broke off i casted the bait in open water so there was no structure that could have broke them

From: Robert: 9/2/16

Comments: I was super excited on this release! I was looking forward to having a new style of buzz bait that floats. Took it out on the delta on a nice top water day & BAM! On my 4th cast I banged a 2lb'r & then two cast later another 2lb'r. Unfortunately the wires that hold the mini "ploppers" bent out! I had the bend them back with a pair of pliers to make them straight again. I wouldn't be charging $16.99 on a bait that wouldn't survive a strike from a beast. The plus side to this bait is that you can throw it in heavy cover and pull it out from some nasty stuff. The two hook ups were super solid but they need to make the wires a lot heavier! Plus when you retrieve the bait it was often roll over if you retrieve too quickly. Slow is pro with this bait.
