Comments: Here are a couple things I have figured out about these tails. First of all they have a wire in there that keeps them straight. Once that wire gets loose from catching fish it will sag and get caught up in the treble hooks like Corey pointed out. That's when it's time to switch out the tail. They tell you to use a toothpick to switch out the tail, but I have found that it will just fly off if I do it this way. Instead I use a paper clip that I bend and cut to hold it in place. I made a U shape with the paper clip and that works great. I don't want to gunk up the hole with superglue, so this has been the best solution for me. You can use a very think trick worm, but it's not the same natural action that these tails give the lure. I have also found that if it's not a floating worm the treble hooks will get caught in it, so make sure to use a buoyant trick worm if this is what you're going to do. I personally, like having extra tails and extra SPRO rats, be cause they have become an essential topwater bait for me. It really produces and it's a very natural presentation if you think about it.

Comments: I think the other reviewer was unlucky. These tails are great. There isn't another tail that is as buoyant as these. The durability is fine (unless something grabs just the tail, which I don't think any tail would do too well against)

Comments: These tails are not worth using. Once you catch a fish or two, the joints separate at the top and makes it tail tangle into the hooks nearly every cast. If they could figure out a way to keep the tail joints from gapping, it would be perfect. I prefer to use a trick worm for a tail instead after the original tails separate. Less hanging on hooks.
