Overview
Designed to the specifications of four-time Bassmaster Classic Champion, Kevin VanDam, the Strike King KVD HC Shallow Squarebill Crankbait is a must-have for targeting fish in the shallowest conditions. Made to deliver the same great wobbling action as the original, the Strike King KVD HC Shallow Squarebill Crankbait is designed with a specially shaped lip that promotes a shallower dive, so anglers can effectively target fish in the 0-3ft range.
Built without rattles, the Strike King KVD HC Shallow Squarebill Crankbait relies on its signature action and lively deflections to attract fish without spooking them. Available in a range of detailed color schemes, the Strike King KVD HC Shallow Squarebill Crankbait provides extra-shallow presentation that delivers professional-grade results.

Comments: Will add this, since no one seems to have called it out: am a big fan of the silent 1.5 size crankbaits. run a lot of the squarebills. this rounded lip is OUTSTANDING when fishing those shallow sloughs, flats when the milfoil carpets are just starting. that rounded lip and rolling action come through weeds amazingly well. love this little dude!

Comments: This thing is sweet!! This bait maybe gets down 2 feet and I love it. It is a great bait for fishing shallow flats when they are spawning in the shallows in the spring. This thing is very impressive and is now one of my go to baits.

Comments: These are great fish catchers. However, they recently changed the hook, from regular round bend to bigger short shank. I do not like this change. I had great success with the old regular round bend. Before, they were perfect out of the package. Now I have to change the hooks when I purchase a strike king crankbait (I believe that they switched the hook on KVD HD as well).

Comments: Believe it or not, I caught a good sized catfish on this. My drag was screaming most of the fight, not to mention the three times he got air string to shake it! This has been my most productive lure so far for bass...and 1 catfish Ha!

Comments: Great squarebill for ponds and shallow water. Always seem to catch them with the 2 natural colors. Highly recommended and very affordable.

Comments: Great lure to start out cranking with. By far my favorite crank to throw in shallow water. Doesn't dive more than 3 feet which is killer over cover or during spawn!

Comments: This is probably my favorite super shallow crankbait. Still has the erratic action of the original, and appeals to bass in all water clarity. Especially good over shallow vegetation where other cranks run too deep.

Comments: The natural bream color is the only color the bass will eat at this one lake here. Tried lots of others but only one they would hit is that color.

Comments: Pretty good squarebill for the price especially in a neon bluegill pattern. I have caught a fair amount of fish with this bait but I would recommend spro if you are willing to spend the money.

Comments: Awesome crank! Caught a pile on this think on two separate outings & two different lakes. They flat out work! Also another bonus is these things are super durable & hold up to the strike king name. Don't be afraid to crash these baby's into whatever you want!

Comments: This bait is a gift from heaven! It was responsible for hooking me up with a 5 lb LMB on the 3rd cast straight out of the box. I fish the Black Back Chart. The hooks aren't the greatest but that's an easy fix. Do yourself a favor and buy this bait!

Comments: I got some of these early and they are absolutely amazing. They work great especially for fishing around super shallow cover where you don't need to go that deep. Great bait with great colors.
