Delivering advanced versatility and a wide-reaching attraction, the Strike King Rage Swimmer provides anglers with universal appeal that can be utilized with a wide-range of tactics. Poured with an innovative rib design, the Strike King Rage Swimmer improves texture and vibration for more fish-catching performance. Whether it is slowly crawled over deep structure on a jig head or burned over submerged grass as a spinnerbait trailer, the Strike King Rage Swimmer features a thinned-down tail that delivers superior action at all speeds. Offered in a range of rod-bending colors, the Strike King Rage Swimmer delivers industry-leading performance that is “out-rage-ously” effective.
Comments: Pairing this swimbait as a trailer with a Z-man jackhammer will catch you MORE fish every season of the year. Last summer, I ran out of Rage Swimmers and purchased a package of Keithech swimmers. I found the Keitech's are inferior and pull off the hook keeper after 3 or 4 good fish. Buy Rage Swimmers they holdup much better and are a far Superior product compared to Keitech swimmers.
From: Kevin: NH 12/18/22
Comments: I really like these. I also like Keitechs and I fish both, but I'm not convinced--as some are--that these get bitten less than the Keitechs. I think the amount of bites is basically the same, and now I mostly use Keitechs only when the water temps get below 45 Fahrenheit. The Rage Swimmers get pretty stiff at that temperature. I pretty much only fish these in green gizzard shad. It's a killer color. Lavender shad also works well in the 2.75" when fish are finicky or if fishing for panfish on a propeller-head jig or just jigged on a small regular head.
From: Ralph: Richmond, KY 7/5/22
Comments: They have a good small tail kick and body roll that bass love. How I rig this is I Texas rig it and the color I use this ghost shad 3.75 inch. Cast into weeds and jig it on top and when you lower it they nail it. They also work as like a subsurface bait too.
From: Connor: Doylestown, Oh 7/10/21
Comments: Have used both these and Keitechs and will say that these don't have as strong as a kick but are more durable and still catch fish. If you are on a budget these will save some money and the choice is up to you what you value more
From: Jim: MA 3/16/21
Comments: very good swimbait good action and durable i've used them this winter dragging them on bottom on belly weighted 5/0 hook and it produced many fish in 3.75 ghost shad , i caught maybe eight fish before the screw lock ripped out the head of the bait , rage swimmer is my favorite swimbait From: Christopher: Elizabethtown 2/6/21
Comments: After trying Keitechs out a few times, and being disappointed with their durability, I decided to look at other brands. Last year, I started throwing the Rage Swimmers, and was happy with my purchase. Normally throw them in Electric Shad, which seems to get things done. I HAVE noticed, the last couple packs, I'll get one where, if you fish it ultra slow, it's fine. But the moment you up the pace any, it starts to not swims right. I can take it off and re-attach it, it doesn't matter. Then, I can grab another from the same pack, and, BOOM, all is right again. Go figurFrom: Jim: Pittsburgh, PA 1/29/21
Comments: love these lures on swimbait heads in the fall, less colors and sizes than keitechs but they are a bit more durable, the white ones didn't get bit by anything besides snapping turtles (which will destroy these things) but the green pumpkin ones caught a ton of fish for me, plus they are better swim jig trailers as the give the jig more body roll (tip from tactical bassin) and they're cheaper! From: Unknown: Durham, NC 9/24/20
Comments: These are my favorite bait. I buy the black n blue, kvd magic, pearl shad and white. Even though my lake doesnt have shad, the white color gets bit. I caught my pb smallmouth bass on the white one at four and a half pounds. I rig these on chatterbaits, swimjigs, texas rig, and i mainly put them on belly weighted swimabait hooks. They last longer than my keitechs as well, and you get one more than the keitechs. one thing is that the tails rip often. When this happens, dont throw it away, you can use it on a dropshot and it would look similar to the yoto worm. From: Gavin: Bellevue, WA 9/17/20
Comments: This bait is very good for the money i swim it on owner flashy head underspins and this had really good crazy action and it has a few pigment issues and such but foe the money its just fine
From: Unknown 4/28/20
Comments: These baits get swallowed. The key is a heavy swimbait head. Try them they catch everything.
From: Unknown 4/17/20
Comments: Dcided to try them in a few different colors down here in South Louisiana. Green Gizzard shad has produced the most fish for me in local canals. I use a weighted swimbait hook and reel at a slower pace than normal. I find it excels for slow rolling applications.
From: Have 4/16/20
Comments: I don't get the negative reviews. They swim just as well as a Keitech at a slow speed, and they are at least twice as durable. Fantastic on an underspin. Great for not just bass, but stripers, trout, walleye and pike. The only reason I have Keitechs as well is for some of the different colors. From: Tyler: Grand Junction, CO 3/18/20
Comments: Great baits. I don't see these as direct competition to keitech a but instead as something to complement the swing impact. These are made of a much tougher plastic which means it's going to have a different action that the swing impact. That is not a bad thing, it just means you are showing the fish something different. I think these are better than keitechs for heavier swim jigs as they will get the whole jig to rock back and forth more due to the harder plastic. If these came in a bright perch color like keitechs sun gill or electric gill I would use them so much more, sadly I don't have that option as the only good perch colors are ayu(which isn't as bright in real life as it is in the picture) and kvd magic. If you are fishing a fishery where a lot of people throw keitechs than this can be great to show the fish something new. I also like them better for spinner bait and chatter bait trailers due to the tougher material, I've even rigged the 5.75 on a treble hook on the back of a double 8 musky bucktail. If you haven't tried these, give them an honest shot because they deserve to be up there with the swing impact.
From: Brendan: Rochester, MN 11/13/19
Comments: I use the 4.75 and 5.75 with my underspin setup. I love them. I have yet to have a tail get bitten off let alone fall off when skipping a cast. They hold well on an owner flashy swimmer, and there have been days where I've caught 14 fish on the same bait without sacrificing the action of the bait. Whether it's a 2 pound largemouth or a 7 pounder they have held up great for me. I'd recommend this product to anyone! From: Brian: Albany, OR 11/7/19
Comments: The "Blue Bug" has been a really effective trailer for me at night on a spinnerbait. This bait has very good durability and excellent action. I will expand my uses for this bait. From: Coach: Shell Knob 10/11/19
Comments: I was throwing these and kietechs all day in a tourney Sunday on underspins. Dragging them across the rocks and mud. The rage swimmer caught them just as well and I'd have to say were a bit more durable than the competition. From: Conor: Rochester 9/17/19
Comments: Crap? No. Next to the Keiteck Fat, this bait holds its own! And to tell y'all the truth, much more durable. Negative reviews usually come from negative people. If you want to catch one fish go Keiteck. They are great on a very slow retrieve. These baits are best at a quicker retrieve. Again, more durable than a Keiteck, less action when fished slowly. Not rocket science! There is a time and place for both. One without the other = a foolish fisherman. 5 stars for the Rage Swimmer. Great bait! From: Steven: CA 9/13/19
Comments: Crap! i tested this out on a pegged texas rig with a 1/16 ounce and let it drop freely into the water. it did nothing! no action, no tail movement, no shimmering. so i did it again with a 1/8 and it started to move a bit but nothing compare to keitechs. imagine fishing this weightless lol. sticking with my keitechs. From: Unknown: 5/20/19
Comments: I don't know why others are having durability problems. I use the pearl flash on the back of a Strike King Hack Attack swim jig and landed 4 fish on the same trailer all with the tail of the bait still on it. I love the action behind them and the colors, but i wish the clam shell itself was more durable. I've found that the clam shell on the tails gets smashed easy and messes up the tails just as bad as if they were not in a clam shell, but we still pay the extra money for the clam shell packaging.
From: Grant - Illinois 12/25/18
Comments: The tails fall off easily. Get a backlash, tail flies off. Lure slaps the water, tail falls off. Bluegill bites the tail, it's ripped off clean.
From: Unknown 10/2/18
Comments: Here in Minnesota some of the bluegill in Clearwater get very silvery/blueish in the summer and the 3.75in kvd magic is a perfect match with a 1/8oz under spin head (look up coolbaits) and I have been SMASHING the bass. Largest caught so far has been a 6lb 13oz pig. Very pressured lake also. Better than keitechs, the salt content and squid scent makes keitechs slide down on your hook and they tear very easily
From: Lex - Minnesota 9/10/18
Comments: I have this pond of mine that I have been using the zoom speed worm on and caught multiple 1-2lbers I whooped out the BLACK AND BLUE CHATTERBAIT WITH AN ELECTRIC SHAD RAGE SWIMMER and slayin 3-5lbers all day keep in mind this pond has 1ft visibility (kinda dirty in my opinion) when it is cloudy I get best bites, also this pond is less than an acre water space and full of vegetation around the banks and shallow ends, I encourage other anglers to try this technique
From: Jon B: Dallas, TX 8/7/18
Comments: Let me start by saying I am a huge strike king fan. The menace grub is my single favorite soft plastic. That said I was very disappointed in the swimmers. Maybe I got a few bad batches but if you reel to fast the tail won't kick, reel to slow, tail won't kick. I'll stick with keitech for now.
From: AJ: Ozarks 7/5/18
Comments: Have used 2 baits 3 days in a row in Michigan. One upside down on a chatterbait with crazy action and another on a weighted underspin with less action which the fish preferred. 45 degree dark water and East wind and the fish hit them. Especially the underspin with a slow retrieve. Always great action and never a tear. So far this has been a solid and reliable soft bait that is still in great shape.
From: Don: Michigan 4/24/18
Comments: I fish both the Keitechs and the rage swimmers. I personally prefer the rage swimmer over the keitech. Both are great baits. You are getting one more rage swimmer than the amount keitechs you are getting when you pay .50 more. I have had zero issues with the action of the rage swimmer. It has awesome action the tail thumps and the bait shimmies at slow speeds and faster speeds. Rage swimmers are far more durable. I have had a lot of experience fishing both of these baits. I have had some issues with the tail being bit off of keitechs by perch. That doesn't seem to happen with the rage swimmers. They are far more durable. Rage swimmers simply catch fish from just after ice out until first ice. My biggest northern bass on a rage swimmer is a 7-2 largemouth.
From: Unknown: 4/25/18
Comments: We fished them around the haygrass in east Texas this past weekend. The big keeper size bucks where up and smash'em like crazy. I caught 7-9 fish on the same bait absolutely no issues. Used a VMC 5/0 screw lock hook and 20# seaguar flouro medium to slow retrieve.
From: semaJ: Mildred Tx 3/26/18
Comments: I bought several packs to use as trailers on chatterbaits and swim jigs. They look great but unfortunately I had the same issue as Rick. The paddle tail on many of them is too thin and folds back, causing failure to kick. I still caught a few fish with them but it's a confidence thing for me. Keitechs are the way to go.
From: Carter - Rochester, IN 2/23/18
Comments: My first experience with these was great. I loved the thump action they produced. That said, the next purchase was a major letdown. The paddles are so thin they fold back and produce NO action!! This is definitely a flaw in the pouring process as one pack will be much thicker than the other. I'll not buy any more of these without first putting my eyes on the thickness of the paddles. Very disappointing.
From: Rick: Shuqualak, Ms 11/9/17
Comments: This are Awesome! I use the Keitechs as well, but they are too oily. The Keitecks slide down all my hooks too easy. I love Rage products. These not only have great scent, but they hold onto hooks very well. They also have the same great action as Keitechs.
From: Unknown: Southern Minnesota 10/6/17
From: Southern Minnesota 10/6/17
Comments: Amazing swimbait love the action! You cant beat the thump that these baits provide. You can use them as a swim jig or chatterbait trailer or on a underspin. You can fish this bait in so many ways and it has unbeatable action. I personally choose the Rage Swimmer over the keitechs. I have more confidence in the Rage swimmers great scent and great action highly recommend.
From: Declan: Frederick, MD 7/11/17
Comments: Used these with Owner twistlock weighted hooks and caught fish all day. These rage tails are exactly as advertised. They kick a lot in the water with a fast OR slow retrieve. KVD magic, electric shad, and the white one all caught fish for me. They lasted better than some other brands but do not expect one to last more than three good fish fights. Personally like these better than Keitechs but again that's MY opinion.
From: Ryan: FL 6/3/17
Comments: I bought a few packs of these thinking they are cheaper than the Keitechs and should work just as well. I was wrong! I will stick with the Keitech brand.
From: Mike: Rockford, IL 5/18/17
Comments: Awesome swimbait or chatterbait trailer! Tail really thumps side to side plus it smells like coffee. Caught some good bass on this swimbait.
From: Nicoh: Jasper Fl 5/14/17
Comments: swim bait is horrible the paddle tail folds back and doesn't swim
From: Noah: Indiana 2/22/17
Comments: Great swimbait, the action is awesome even on a very slow retrieve with a weighted EWG hook. It attracts bass as well was saltwater trout and red drum. You also don't need a huge variety of colors, the ones available are really the ones you need with the addition of a dark color for muddy or dirty water situations.
From: Alex: Pensacola FL 2/5/17
Comments: Superior actin, especially at slowe speeds, compared to the competition.
From: Kent: Germantown, TN 2/3/17
Comments: Best ribbed style swimbait out their. Out fished kitechs 3-1 on a recent trip to beaver lake in AK and even caught a 6lber on these swimbaits on A-rigs. But also has a better rolling action on a light texas rig when swimmed through the water. It has also become my favorite cold water chatterbait trailer. 10/10
From: Samuel: Iowa 1/11/17
Comments: They are more durable than Keitechs and they thump great on a slow retrieve! I fish them on Squadron Heads alone, or on the back of the Tour Grade Swim Jig. Both brands catch fish, there's no doubt about it. I get about two more fish per bait with the new Rage Swimmer and you get an extra swimbait by going with Strike King in comparison (4.75" vs 4.8"). Go smash the smallies and largies with them!
From: Dan: Spokane, WA 1/6/17
Comments: Like other reviews state, they are very similar to Keitech swimbaits. They are not quite as good in my opinion. They will obviously still catch fish, but the tail doesn't wobble with a slow retrieve. Color selection is also behind, but I imagine it will improve with time.
From: Mark: IN 8/17/16
Comments: just like the keitechs little bit more durable & also cheaper just not as many colors but the pearl flash & ghost shad work well for me on jig heads a-rigs and on weighted hooks. all around another great bait from strike king i wont be buying any more keitechs
