Commonly used with a fluorocarbon leader, the Sunline SX1 Braided Line in Hi-Vis Yellow is perfect for Senko-style baits, were it's necessary to monitor line movement in the water. Sunline pros, Aaron Martens and Brent Erhler provided significant input in the testing of Sunline SX1 Braid, working through numerous prototypes before SX1 was finally developed.
Offering greatly improved abrasion-resistance over PE braided lines thanks to its new ULT-PE construction, Sunline SX1 Braided Line in Hi-Vis Yellow still retains the suppleness of PE line. The enhanced abrasion resistance isn't from applying a thick coating to bolster the material either. Instead, Sunline actually improved the raw fiber. This new design allows SX1 to maintain incredible manageability for excellent line control in any situation, and the slick line surface of the uncoated fiber brings out the longest casting distances while allowing good, tight knots to be formed. Sunline SX1 Braided Line in Hi-Vis Yellow also has a neutral buoyancy, which allows it to suspend and not float on top of the water like other braided lines. This greatly improves lure performance. Sunline SX1 Braided Line in Hi-Vis Yellow - Strong, Sensitive, Abrasion-Resistant.-High visibility Yellow coloring-Ultra high strength ULT-PE polyethylene line-Excellent abrasion resistance-Reduced surface fuzzing-No exterior coating that will wear off-Unique surface processing for a sleek finish -Reduces guide friction for longer casting distance-Ultra low stretch, ultra high sensitivity
Comments: I use Sunline flourocarbon on all my reels and have been for years now, great product. But the 10 pound hi vis yellow braid is terrible!! I had the line snap on me once and frayed numerous times. I was told because the product diamater is much different that what the U.S.A uses that you need to go up in diameter witdth when it comes to bass fishing. I was even told the 10 pound line prolly couldn't even be used to panfish due to the lack of abrasion resistance. Very disappointed, why sell it?

Comments: I have experimented with ALL brands of braided line trying to fine the one that performed the best. Sunline SX1 is it. Some reviews are saying the "yellow" fades over time. Yes, over time it does. But so what, you can still see the line and what is was intended to do. It's extremally easy to tie to Fluorocarbon. And I have used it on SEVERAL fishing trips with zero twists, unwanted knots, or most importantly, no loss of fish! I highly recommend this line if you're looking for a dependable, user friendly braided line!

Comments: I fish mostly clear rocky lakes here in AZ and I've come to love this line. It was also fantastic for a Lake Champlain trip last year tossing Trds to big smallies and walleye. I do get the occasional wind knot, and every once in a while it somehow gets under my reel spool (???), but for throwing Senkos it's fantastic. Casts a country mile and it's easy to see a fish swimming off with my bait. It's my primary setup for unweighted plastics or drop shots. After 2 seasons it did start to fade so I pulled about 30ft off to where the color was bright again and voila@! Good as new. I use 16# to a 8/10/12# flouro leader with a GT Knot (way easier to tie than the Alberto knot everyone uses here in AZ...IMHO) on Dobyns Fury rods with a Shimano Stradic and it's just a great setup.

Comments: Is it worth the hype? If you follow professional (sponsored) fishing you have probably heard of Sunline SX1. That's why I tried it. I was new to the finesse fishing with braid to flouro leader so I trusted the pros I saw on TV. Well after years of experience I can say SX1 is all hype. Now I get it, people are paid to promote their sponsors. One thing I like about it is it casts a mile. The rest is downhill. Like others have said it fades so fast as to be useless. It doesn't seem to be more sensitive than other braids so no advantage there. But the real deal breaker for me are the wind knots. I will get these loopy wind knots that are so bad I have to cut the line. I have never seen anything like it. It's not just a single small wind knot. It's a six inch wind knot with multiple knots where the line just folds over on itself like a bad fluorocarbon backlash. You can't salvage it. I have never had this problem with other braids so I will stick with them.

Comments: I bought this line to re-stock from a couple of years ago. Must say there must be something wrong with this batch. Originally had 125 yard spool for one finesse reel and bought the 600 yard. Have had nothing but line breaks between fun fishing with my girlfriend and during tournaments. This line has not saved me money anymore but actually has costed me almost what I have paid for it in dropshot and finesse hooks for wacky worms.

Comments: I ordered a spool of the SX1 15lb test braid to use on my finesse spinning gear. I've had nothing but issues with the line fraying. At first I thought it was happening at the knot where I tied my 7lb leader (Alberto Knot). So I decided to tie my leader on with a FG Knot. Still the line frayed and came apart and this time looking closely just to make sure it was coming apart well after the knot. I check my reel for rough edges and also checked rod guides to make sure there weren't any burrs that might fray the line. I didn't find anything that mechanically cause the line to fray. When you buy a 600 yard spool and the line keeps coming apart then it has to be an issue with the manufacturing process. I don't know if I got line that was from the end of a run or the beginning of a run and at this point it doesn't matter except I can't trust this line to perform.

Comments: Totally agree - $60 bucks for a big spool and the color is gone after a few outings. Very, very disappointed.

Comments: Color fades badly after a week. Severely Misses the mark on its intended purpose. From: Unknown: 8/4/20
Comments: Hi-vis yellow? Color severely faded within a week. Defeats the purpose. Not sure what all the hype is about sunline. Disappointed. From: Mitch: Arkansas 8/3/20
Comments: Have been using the 12# to a leader on my dropshot/Ned rig rod the past couple seasons and it's just now losing color and needing to be replaced. Same on my shakyhead rod I run the 16# to a leader and it's also just now after 2 years needs replaced. Cast like a dream, quite though the guides and holds braid to leader knot perfectly, never had a leader fail me. Just buy it.From: Unknown: Indiana 4/5/20
Comments: Best braid for your spinning reels for sure! Ive been amazed how far I can cast with this. Be easy at first or you'll be in the trees. Silky, silky smooth. Doesn't fray, thin, strong... its awesome really! I use both the 12 and 16lb with FG knot to flouro leaders. No issues whatsoever!

Comments: Have used this line for several outings. Casts well, very manageable. Color does fade fairly quickly.
From: Jeff: Bella Vista, Arkansas 3/11/19J
Comments: I bought this for a drop shot braid with a fluoro leader. Handles well, knot stays buttoned with a fluoro leader. This coming season will be year 3 with the same spool and going strong. I wouldnt hesitate to purchase. Its handled 4 lb smallies and largies, and even an unsuspecting 11 lb Asian carp. Held strong. I have only tried it with an InvizX leader.

Comments: Bought this for dropshotting during a tournament on Champlain and it worked flawlessly. Very slick and flies off the reel. Extremely thin, sensitive, and strong. Tied an fg knot to 8lb sniper and so far I haven't had my leader knot break on me. This is the only line that will go on my spinning reels from now on.

Comments: Put this line through 5 days at Lake Fork and it worked flawlessly. I will never fish a braided line that isn't hi-vis again. Who knows how many fish I have missed using straight fluorocarbon on my spinning reels? I tie an Alberto (Crazy Alberto) with 9-11 wraps to 8-10lb fluoro and this thing is a winner. Caught fish in excess of 4lbs around timber. No heartbreaks.

Comments: This stuff casts crazy far and handles just great. Just be prepared to put some casts in the trees starting out. It will take you awhile to get used to the extra distance!
From: Neil: Kansas 3/3/17
Comments: This stuff is legit. Finally found a braid that I enjoy using on spinning reels with a fluorocarbon leader. This stuff just flies off the reel and handles great.
From: Neil: Manhattan, KS 2/22/17
Comments: Top notch line. I always have a dropshot in my hand & sx-1 is hand down the best line for it. Sensitive & strong & Easy to work with. I feel like I get better knots & have not broken the line or the knot at my liter with it yet.
From: Torrey: Caldwell, ID 7/16/16
Comments: Been using 12 lb all summer for wacky rigs with flouro leader. I give it a high grade, as others have mentioned color fades and you do get wind knots but nothing to sweat about.
