Comments: Its waxy sticky coating actually attracts water, which is why I have to say this is one of the worst braids i have tried

Comments: This is probably not the line you're used to. It's thinner than almost everything, hasn't got the best abrasion resistance (on purpose) and it's not a great line to put on any non-BFS baitcasting reel. With that said, if you're using this line under the correct circumstances it will be very pleasant to fish. I use the 6 lb test for finesse on one of my spinning reels. If you want a 6 lb test line, I recommend to go for 10 lb test. If you want 10 lb test, go for 14 lb test etc. This stuff is ultra thin. It flows through the rod guides like air, which is both practical (in terms of casting distance with light lures) and nice (in terms of its refined feel). I'm pretty sure that's something they did on purpose. This line isn't the most abrasion resistant line out there though, so properly wetting the knot and tying on a fluorocarbon leader is a must (40" recommended leader length). A backlash on a baitcaster will make this line break mid air. Though, if you 're using the Siglon X8 for BFS you won't run into many breakoffs because of the lure weight. So, what is this line good for? Finesse fishing. If you're planning to use it for something else, go with a thicker diameter than you first was planning on. The thinner dimensions are all pretty great for finesse. It's not a bad line, it just very unusual for the US Domestic Market. It's a bit more niche than usual, is a great way to put it. Use it for the right thing and you won't run into many issues.

Comments: Love other types of Sunline line but I bought the 30lb for chatterbaits and randomly casted off two jackhammers and a custom chatterbait in a tournament with this stuff... no backlash or anything, clean breaks (wasn't knot failure either). Not sure if I got a bad spool but I'd be careful. Only reason I got it was because suffix 832 was completely out of stock and I needed more line for the tournament.

Comments: I've never left a review before, but feel compelled to with this line. It is junk. I bought 30lb test and it has randomly broke mid spool on casts and hook sets. I hook my baits to the reel handle so it isn't like a hook could've damaged the line. I chalked the first couple times up to bad luck, or a knick, but it happened 4-5 times and I finally stripped my reels and threw it away. I was speaking to another local angler about the line, and he said he had the same results so I doubt I got a bad spool. The only positive I'd give it, is the line diameter is very small, but that may also be the cause of the problems. There is much better 30lb braid out there that is cheaper in my opinion. I've had great luck with Sunline as a company, just not with this particular line.

Comments: I bought some today 8 lb orange and keeps breaking about 5cm above my knot when i pull it to check the strength and is breaking like cotton. Not even 1 lb pressure when i pull it tight. This happened about 6 times no kidding and i kept taking a meter of it each time. Im scared to cast out my lure,if i catch a fish it probably will break a couple of meters from the lure. I cant take it back now since i spooled it up. Disappointed its not cheap, I dont think they researched this one very good. I wouldnt buy it again. If you check it with a lure in the shop with the salesman or you might be as disappointed as me.From: Adam: QLD, Australia 7/25/19
Comments: This line is not bad, but you need to remember it is rated for Japanese market. lb test in Japan is maximum tensile strength while in US it is close to knot strength. The simple rule of thumb is: take PE rating and multiply by 10. You will get approx. US lb test equivalent.

Comments: Thought I would try out the new PEx8 it was smaller I. Diameter but the line broke 4 or 5 times when setting the hook or when fighting fish. The line wasn't breaking at the hook but was breaking in different places on the line, I use SunLine on all my reels and was not happy with the Sunline Siglon PEx8 Braided Line Dark Green.

Comments: Just like the other review breaks easy. I bought the 30 pound and was I ever excited by the thin diameter and casting but then it broke off on a cast. Got home and tested it at the house with my trigger gauge and it was breaking between 5 and 6 pounds. The trigger gauge only goes to 8 pounds and the line was not breaking on the knots. I have had great success with Sunline but not this time. Lost a LV 500 and put the line in the trash so that cost me $30.00 and I went back to power pro.

Comments: Probably not the best line to use for C rig as it super thin but I was trying to see if thinner meant I could cast further but seems to be the same as my power pro 15 lb. I may try the 4x just to see how it differs from the 8x. I think it is a good line but just not for the fishing I do.

Comments: Thinnest braid ever. I put 30 lb on 3 different baitcasters. Broke off 5 times in one day. I have never had issues with any braid breaking off. This stuff was breaking off on casts and on hook sets. And not at the knot, but at random places. One time 25 yards down. Horribly disappointed. Wrote to Sunline and never heard back. If FC Sniper wasn't as great as it is I would not purchase Sunline again.

Comments: Just got some today. Man is this stuff thin. The 30 lb 8 strand is like 20 lb Power Pro. Super quiet. Did some testing in my pond, it casts like a dream. I'll give it a real test and update later.
