I'm impressed with hooks retention of fishI am typically not easily impressed with hooks after testing them. I have been favoring EWG style trebles and I noticed the 'Hybrid' and gave it a test fishing all night several nights for spotted sea trout which are some of the hardest fish to keep on the hook due to their violent headshakes, twisting, rolling, and thrashing fishing style combined with the fact that these 'weakfish' species have very thin skin in the mouth. The hook has to get into cartilage, bone, or sinew otherwise they will shake themselves free or tear themselves free. These hooks performed very well on topwaters, jerkbaits, and slow sinking 'corky' type baits. I actually had trouble getting some of the fish OFF, and that's a great thing. highly recommend.
