Overview

If there's been one lure that has changed the face of fishing over the years, it's the Yamamoto Senko. With its wide range of uses and subtle natural action, the Yamamoto Senko has quickly become a favorite with anglers all over the world. The beauty of the Senko is in its simplicity. The Yamamoto Senko may just look like a thick round plastic worm but the fall rate created from the large amount of salt impregnated in the body drives fish mad. When rigged weightless the Yamamoto Senko falls horizontally with a seductive side-to-side tail action. Try wacky rigging or texas rigging the Yamamoto Senko and experience the versatility and effectiveness it provides.

Fish Catching MachineThis has to be one of the most versatile baits you can get. With so many ways to rig it, there is never a time or place that they can't produce a bite.

Don't sleep on the 4 inchI've been a 5 inch user since they first hit the market and only used the 4 inch here and there. Lately, a wacky rigged 4 inch has been the red hot bait. Make sure you have some in your box with some wacky rings to make the baits last longer.

The best worm in the history of bass fishingIf you want the stick bait that produces the most fish year after year after year, you look past the price and just buy the best baits. The reason for the poor durability is the same reason the Senko gets bit better than every other stick bait on the market. Buy yourself some Mend-It and it will change your life. Anything vaguely green pumpkin will get it done in any body of water when it comes to largemouth. Pick something with a little sparkle or two tone if you want to look just a little different than everyone else. All those colors are designed to catch the fisherman, not more fish.

7 inch senkoThe 7 inch senko is one of the most effective. Has a very aggressive wobble when falling on a wacky or weightless texas rig.

Can't ResistThe fish can't resist eating these. No hesitation to put them in their mouths. Especially the five inch senko. It works great. Must be the scent or something. Can't complain one bit about this bait.

Comments: great bait dances nice it wiggles when it falls which I love. slammed them yester day (April 20th 2023) do not get googan baits they move good but are not durable at all you loose one every cast.

From: kellen: Pittsburgh 4/21/23

Comments: The 7" Senko is a big fish catcher. Definitely don't be intimidated by the size. The big fish will smash it.

From: JT Bagwell : Geneseo, IL 4/7/23

Comments: Well guys they changed the formula the new plastic is soft but does not have the same movement I'm sure they will catch fish!!! R.I.p Gary Yamamoto!!!

From: Nate: Northeast MD 2/28/23

Comments: Worlds best lure / bait - it's just a fact - Have a new angler in your boat that you want to have a good time? Want them to love our hobby? Then put a senko on their spinning rod - wacky rig it & done deal. If bass is near they will hit it .. stick with natural colors - green/brown / black

From: Harley : Nevada 12/23/22

Comments: This is the #1 bass bait on the planet. Yes, they rip too much and are expensive. I tried the knockoffs, and they just aren't as good. If you use a Senko weightless it will shimmer on the fall. No other Senko knockoff can do that. The weightless shimmering drives the bass crazy. They will strike! The Senko can be fished under any condition. Texas rig, Dropshot, Wacky rig. They all work. This bait can be fished anywhere in North America, and it will catch bass. I have fished these in central NY, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, Northern NY Thousand Islands. It works everywhere.

From: Rob: New York State and beyond 11/26/22

Comments: I resisted buying the Senko's due to their cost and how easily they tear. I felt the company was sticking it to people. Could they really cost more to make then a Yum Dinger? I don't have an answer to that. But I used Yum Dingers exclusively. I couldn't believe there was much difference. One day I bought a pack of Senko's. I found out what all the fuss is about. I am not educated enough with this stuff to explain the differences. But there are differences And somehow the fish know it. I keep telling myself I need to use up my Dingers before I can use the Senko's. But I keep using the Senko's. They just seem to work better and catch more fish. I hate spending more for them. But I don't catch as many fish as others do. I am disabled and am in a powered wheelchair. So I can only fish small areas. The most fish in a day I have caught is 5. The most. You don't go through a lot of senko's when you catch that few a fish. I won't admit to how many days I go with catching nothing. But at least I am out doing something.

From: Unknown: Lancaster, PA 11/14/22

Comments: Everyone knows how awesome senkos are by now, but just a warning: the Morning Dawn color has no salt I assume to keep the bait translucent. They still work but they fall ridiculously slow, almost floating. I've been Neko rigging them and they're more durable than a standard senko.

From: Jacob: Georgia 4/8/22

Comments: A bait that matches its lofty reputation. Use electricians shrink tubing for wacky rigging and you can greatly increase their longevity increasing their value even more.

From: William: Indianapolis, IN 2/9/22

Comments: Yup, another positive review for the Senko. This bait, 5", wacky rigged, filled my limit the other day and made a slow trip into a great trip. I laugh because 90% of the other fishermen/women I see are throwing a Senko. You would think the fish get tired of them...but no. Color DOES matter a lot of times, at least this is what I see. If you are not a believer yet, give them a shot. Yes, they cost a lot, but they are just that good and worth it.

From: Jason: 10/18/21

Comments: They just eat it.... All year around. If you don't have some of these in your boat. Stay home. Don't waste your time. These are a must have.

From: Chris: Lake Charles, LA 9/27/21

Comments: No other stick bait can match it. Yes  it's very soft and rips easily, but that's why fish love 'em so much. I don't think there's a wrong way too fish them. I've fished them as a soft jerk bait, wacky rigged weightless, nose hooked and wacky rigged as a drop shot bait and Texas rigged. Try them on a shakey head jig as well. They just flat out catch fish. I think the Senko is the greatest innovation in fishing lures since the original Rapala.

From: Ed: Phoenix, AZ 8/11/21

Comments: You can switch to all the other different brands version of this bait. But that's fine I'll keep paying extra to get more bites with this bait. It has a faster fall and more wobble action than the other brands. And it just creates more bites plain and simple. I'll never buy any other brand but Yamamoto.

From: Aaron: Kentucky 5/23/21

Comments: Let's be honest, this bait needs no reviews or introduction. It is a fish catching legend. That being said, it just flat out gets bit. Any color, any size, any body of water, and at any time of year. You're gonna get bit. Yeah, they're not the most wallet-friendly plastics out there, but they're absolutely worth it. I've personally tried just about every imitation of these things that I can get my hands on. Now don't get me wrong, the imitations will definitely get you some bites.. But there is just something about the Senko that will forever be unmatched. I consistently catch more fish on a Senko than any other bait out there. Period.

From: Nicholas: Indiana 5/15/21

Comments: I love them but they just don't hold up. They entice bites  they catch fish. Been using them for years but recently I have changed to Missle baits "the 48".

From: Brian 4/13/21

Comments: Yeah sure they catch fish, I wish they were more durable and less expensive!!

From: Unknown: California 2/27/21

Comments: One of the best baits for any condition or and body of water. With the senko you can fish it shallow or even fish it out deep.

From: Ryan: 2/7/21

Comments: This bait in the 6 or 7 inch gets me big bites on my spots that I know hold big fish! I also use it around grass and get any size fish. I've also found that twitching it like a fluke works pretty well too. Watermelon red/black and green pumpkin black flake are my go to.

From: Jack: California 9/8/20

Comments: What more can be said.  If I'm spending money on rods reels and line and the time to finally get to go fishing I'm going to use the best.  I found this bait in the late 90's in lake fork Texas. I mostly pond fish and it never fails while my friends just ask to borrow mine. Tip. Keep them stored in your spare fridge and then put in your beer cooler. They stay hard much better and last longer. 021 Black and blue fleck

From: Paul Deneke: Lenexa, Kansas 4/16/20

Comments: OK we all know this bait is legendary. What I really like are the huge number of colors. There is a color for everyone, every season, every situation. It's Spring now in NC. I bought some Watrmln Copper Org Red Laminate to specifically mimic crawfish and the Sunfish in my area that have orange breasts. It's a wild beautiful color and today March 11 I fished it for 3 hours and caught 8 nice bass. For the heck of it I switched to Junebug and didn't catch anything. Anyway it's nice to have so many choices.

From: Shawn: Durham, NC 3/11/20

Comments: These things are fantastic. When I rig them wacky with an O ring, I average about 4 fish per bait which I can definitely live with. I don't know why they work so well, but they definitely work. They also come in every color imaginable.

From: Unknown: 2/28/20

Comments: Year round bait. I've tried others but always come back to the original. I can get two to three bass per senko even with a Sugoi offset worm hook. The action and versatility of the Yamamoto senko is unmatched by other stick worms. Expensive? That depends. I don't spend good money on a closet full of Crankbaits and an ineffective stick worm is too expensive at any price. So they are priced right considering their effectiveness.

From: Keith: Oxford, AL 2/14/20

Comments: Senkos are pure evil!!! They flat out catch so many fish that you will find you stop using everything else in your prized tackle collection. Every size, every color, every situation in every time of year the Senko will catch fish when nothing else will. Shallow thick cover? Weightless Texas rig. Fishing shallow or chasing schooling bass? Wacky rig. Deep edges of grass lines or brush piles? Texas rig with a light bullet weight or a neko rig. Need a search bait? C-rig it. 95 degrees out in your home state? Hit the river with a 3-4 inch Senko and catch fish all day. Rig one up and go catch fish. It's that simple. Senko Addict (I need help!)

From: Unknown: 9/23/19

Comments: This bait really needs no validation/review. It flat out works when nothing else does - wacky rigged, T-rigged, dropshotted, and I'm sure plenty of other different ways .. simply put, if you could pick only ONE bait to catch bass on, this would be my choice. Never fails.

From: Nick: TX 6/18/19

Comments: I never, I mean never go bass fishing without a senko tied on! I fish em 99% of the time wacky rigged. There are plenty of imitations of the original, but as far as I am concerned, they all fall short! Best fallow up bait out there. Absolutely gets em around docks, brush piles, lay downs..., you name it, shallow structure. You definitely get what you pay for with the original senko!

From: Steven: CA  6/4/19

Comments: Hands down the best plastic bait I have ever used. I just rig it as a weightless Texas rig using a 3/0 Gamakatsu offset hook. The two negatives everyone talks about it is how expensive they are and they don't last but they produce every single time. To me, they are worth it.

From: Dustin: South Carolina 5/1/19

Comments: The original and best. I've been fishing bass tournaments for ten years, and I've had at least one rod rigged up with Senko since the day I started. I'd estimate that at least 60% of my fish in any given season are caught on these. Great action and texture, and I'm pretty sure the salt helps fish find the bait and hold on. Texas rigged, weightless Texas rigged, wacky rigged, drop shot, Carolina rigged, split shotted, pitched into cover, skipped under docks, or fished in open water, you can't go wrong.

From: John: Warriors Mark, PA  4/5/19

Comments: These things are killer. Wacky, weightless, or Texas rig this bait is deadly. Some other copies of the senko last longer but don't have the action of the senko.

From: Unknown 3/4/19

Comments: Ive been a senko fan for years and these things truly are the best in their class. yeah other knock offs will work but these things are classic. if you are new to fishing a senko don't let the 80+ colors throw you off, just stick to what has and always will work best which is your watermelon and green pumpkin black fk.

From: TP: OC,CA  2/10/19

Comments: After using many senko replicas, I've always gone back to the original even though it isn't durable. I've tried everything from YUM Dingers to the BPS Stick-O, and although some have come close to the action of the Senko, none of them havr been an equal. Senkos have a higher salt content which makes them sink faster, they have a tight and subtle wobble on the fall, and fish do tend to hold on longer from the soft feel of the plastic itself. In conclusion these baits are flat out fish catching machines. They're not the most budget friendly, but they're definitely worth the $7.

From: NewJerseyAnglin: NJ 9/2/18

Comments: Plain catches fish.  The softness will cause a bass not to bite it but hold on to it and eat it.  They just work. Last night I took some knock off stick baits and cut pieces off to repair my broke senkos with mend-it.  Will use as wacky with o rig as the repaired piece of the knock off was only about 1" or so so should affect the shimmy too much. I don't think its really the action of the lure that helps catch fish but the softness of it.

From: Jason - Bayou Sale, LA 8/13/18

Comments: I understand they aren't very durable and are expensive. But they are amazingly effective and fun to fish. But honestly I'm not rich but if a bait works and catches fish, it's worth it. I'd easily spend 7 bucks a bag to have a fun day catching fish. I have found another Senko style bait that works just as well as these and is more durable and is fun to switch brands every hour or so. People get so worked up about how you can only catch 1 or 2 fish per worm which is around 9 fish per bag! If you love to complain you can still find cheap $2 bags of plastics that will never need to be changed because they don't catch as many fish. For me, weightless Texas rig is much more productive than wacky rigging, surprisingly.

This worm changed bass fishing for so many reasons. They made me love fishing plastics again and made so many slow days into amazing memories... and that is priceless.

From: Ron - Lake Havasu, AZ

Comments: No matter how many Senko knock offs I have used, I have never found one that equals the fish catching prowess of the original Senko. Nothing beats the suductive slow fall and shimmy of a weightless senko when you need to catch a fish and every time I go fishing on a lake, on a river or in a stream I have one of these rigged up.

From: Jim: KY 3/11/18

Comments: People keep coming out with Senko imitations, and the Senko keeps outselling them all. Pretty simple, the salt content and plastic used in a Senko allows for an unique action on the fall. You can complain about price, but tournament guys know that a decent paycheck will buy you a lot of Senkos. When you wacky rig them, in the very least use an O-ring. Better yet, find some thin silicone tubing to cut into a 1/2" piece and use that instead. When you rip the front end of a bait after fishing it T-rigged, throw it in a separate box to be used for a wacky rig later on. And when you T-rig, use a round bend offset hook instead of the standard EWG. An EWG allows the worm more room to slide down and twist around the shank as a fish is fought back to the boat, thus more tearing. You don't need a thousand colors. Find a basic shade of green pumpkin, black/blue, junebug, and a shad imitator. Baby bass, natural shad, and 925 (green pumpkin laminate red flake) account for 99% of Senko fish I catch in clear-stained water.

From: Chris: Lancaster 11/22/17

Comments: I've been using Texas-rigged 4" weightless green pumpkin and watermelon with and without black flakes.  Let it sink to the bottom and then twitch it.  Bass have been hitting them even when they are lying still in the bottom.  Ran out of 4" and tried the 5" cutting off an inch and no hits!  They don't last very long.  You're lucky to get >1 fish per lure, so buy a couple of bags.

From: Arturo: Newnan, GA 10/13/17

Comments: These things will make a newb feel like he's ready to take on KVD. Problem is they catch a lot of dinks and are limited in their applications.  But they can be fun when the bite is off and for those times when you just don't have it in you to grind all day for a few jig bites.

From: Josh: Canada 9/18/17

Comments: Best bait on the market for soft plastics love Texas rigging these just pitch it out and work it back in you'll catch fish love throwing a mad melon senko in clear water and a June bug in stained and darker water

From: Unknonwn 8/17/17

Comments: Best worm on the market love Bama bug color I live in Alabama and the water bugs are that color

From: Eli Anderson: Mobile Alabama 7/25/17

Comments: Heres the deal guys use the wacky worm saddles that are under accesories with the zappu waky worm weedless hook, OMG the best combo on the planet nothing and i mean nothing compares to senkos action in the water fluttering down with a waky worm hook. There is something with the type of plastic and the amount of salt used to get that insane fluttering action like NO other stick bait cant even come close to matching. Wth the saddle you will get many more fish on one bait, So thats the deal guys . I have outfished all live bait guys with the senko there is  NOTHING THAT CAN MATCH IT. . I have tried all other stick baits nothing comes close. Yamamoto you are king.

From: Unknown 7/19/17

Comments: Give a beginner this and it will make him love fish because he will definitely catch some on a senko

From: Tank - 7/24/17

Comments: Just a classic plastic that's my go to. I favor the Senko over the trick worm because of casting weight. Black and Blue in Florida and Georgia is a lock! Thanks for an amazing soft plastic Gary!

From: Calvin - Lake Park, GA 5/31/17

Comments: This is one of the best baits of all time, I've caught the. From Lake Erie to Dale Hollow and everywhere in between. These worms produce when it's tough conditions. They are more expensive than the dingers and others like it. In my opinion they are worth the $$$ because they produce. I do wish Yamamoto would sell more bulk size bags of worms. Easy to use from beginner to weekend tournament angler.

From: Kyle: Ohio 5/29/17

Comments: Great bait to Texas rig and cast under logs, but the worms last for about three bass until they rip in half.

From: Tyler: Minnesota 5/2/17

Comments: Senko's are hands down the best stick bait I've ever used. Sure they're a bit more expensive than their competitors, but here's where you have to make a decision... Do you want a box of discount worms or a stringer full of Bass?

I turned my buddy onto Senko's one night when I was cat fishing, he thought I was funning with him when I rigged him up a Senko on a TX's rig, he said he never used a lure before! So I thought I'd have me some fun at his expense and gave him some simple pointers... So on his first cast from the shore he reeled in a 16" Largemouth! XD The look on his face was one of adolescent amazement, and a testament to what a Senko is actually capable of. Senko's just don't catch fish, they will literally change your life.... And that's why I'm on here writing this coz my buddy begged me to get him some. :)

Excellent seller. Excellent delivery. Excellent bait and good times... What more do you need?

Comments: Get double or more life from your Senkos by putting your used Texas rigged baits in a small, red waterproof
Plano box Reuse these baits wacky rigged with an o ring. Better yet, if you are in a club, ask the members to keep their used T rigged Senkos, and use them wacky style.

From: Robby: Maitland, FL 3/19/17

Comments: Best soft plastic on the market. I went out on the water today and caught 18 on a pack of green tops and white belly senkos.

From: John: Fairhope, Alabama 2/12/17

Comments: When it comes to wacky rigging the Senko by far is the best stickbait and it isn't even close. Been several occasions where I'll have a Senko on and be catching them then after it falls off I'll try a dinger or shim e stick and won't get a bite. The Senko is the most natural fall and gets the bites. I'd rather spend the money and get bites then save it and not catch anything.

From: Nicoh: Jasper Fl 2/4/17

Comments: I greatly dislike the Yamamoto brand of Senkos. They are waaaayyy overpriced. Only thing that I think is good about them is all of the color options. Otherwise I would defnitely purchase the YUM brand.

From: Anthony: Wisconsin 1/4/17

Comments: Best on the market! Wish they were more durable, you can only catch one fish per worm. Also, I wish they had a blue sapphire.

From: Tre: Houma, LA 11/6/16

Comments: I have been using senkos for years. By far the best but unfortunately the durability has gone down the last few years. Tackle warehouse has the best price for them. Can not beat the free shipping and no tax ordering from them..

From: Kochzilla: CT 8/1/16

Comments: I used to use yum dingers & everything else that copied it. I just tried a senko cause i said what the heck is 3$ more for the same thing. ITS NOT THE SAME! i caught 3 times as much as i usually do in the pond i fish at & it was thundering & windy. We caught the crap out of them.

From: Hunter: Tyler, TX 7/4/16

Comments: Nothing like a EWG 2/0 with a wacky rigged Motoroil Red Flake 5'' senko. Sure, they come at a price. If you're a little budget minded like I am, stick to Yum Dingers. But when you're feeling premium, theres nothing like a good old GY Senko.

From: Jayson: ME 6/19/16

Comments: Hands down one if not the best plastic worms out there! Can you put a price on a bass? I cant! I've read reviews where guys are saying there catching one fish per worm? I fish them tell there falling apart and ripped to shreds, They still catch fish! (3-5) per bait! I caught my first bass on one of these(4.48lbs) & i still use weekly! Awesome bait, a must have in your boat or tackle bag/box! Awesome!

From: Scott: Coos Bay, OR 6/12/16

Comments: The three inch senko is one of the most under rated lures ever. They are a large & smallmouth killer. I have caught hundreds of bass on these & my biggest is a 5lb smallmouth.

From: Sam: Lake Oswego, OR 5/31/16

Comments: These are great baits, but they do last 2 or 3 fish & are expensive. I love them & have used them to catch many big bass on them & their action is not even close to other senko style baits.

From: Brock: FL 5/29/16

Comments: Great soft plastics. By far my favorite soft plastic senkos/worms out there! There's only one downside, and it's the fact that almost after every bass, even really small ones, these things rip like crazy, and I have other senkos and they do not do the same thing. But overall, the coloring, texture & ability to lure bass is phenomenal. These are my go to bait for pond largemouth.

From: Jim: OH 5/14/16

Comments: These are one of the easiest & most effective baits to use for bass. I've never fished anything else that can generate a bite before the bait even hits the bottom The only con to senkos is that the salt content in the bait makes them fall apart really easily. If you're using a texas rig, it most likely won't survive more than one fish.

From: Kerry: Houston, TX 5/6/16

Comments: I was a little unsure how to fish these when I first started. I always had a pack in my bag but always turned to more traditional spinnerbaits, crankbaits etc. One afternoon a local pro gave me a few tips on rigging and presentation & let me say that it made such a difference that I keep a couple packs on me at all times now. My FIRST CAST with a wacky rigged senko hooked into a 5 1/2lb with a 4 lber about 10 minutes after that. If you havent tried a senko, your missing out on one incredible bait.

4/20/16

Comments: After 10 years of bass fishing this is still the "go to" lure when all else fails. So simple and versatile, the 5 inch rules! I keep a binder full of colors one on the boat at all times and adjust depending on water color/location/time of year.

From: Paul: TX 3/29/16

Comments: I use the 5" senko in red/green and it works really well than other colors I have tried up here by northern waters. Just skip it right under a dock and bass inhale it. Texas rig or carolina rig this bait and it works well, but where it really stands out is when it is wacky rigged. Also buy some wacky o-rings to extend the life of this bait.

From: Mason: Shawano, WI 1/3/16

Comments: If there is a such thing as a sure bet for bass in clear or lightly stained water, the Senko is it. Just throw it out and retrieve it back slowly with twitches on semi slack line and you will get bit. Catches numbers but bigger fish like them too. Finicky or aggressive bass will inhale these. Sometimes I purposely don't fish them because they are almost too effective and I am trying to learn other lures. They are THAT good. If I need a bass though, out comes  the senko. No, they aren't durable, and you get 3 fish at most on one lure, but if you invest in some mend it you can re - use them a fair amount of times. Best colors are white, green pumpkin, watermelon, and the basics. It's arguably the best bass lure in existence.

From: Tyler: Grand Junction, CO 5/23/15

Comments: It can be wacky rigged, fly lined t-rigged, have the tail split in half to give it some action, you can even nail weight it to give it a different action. I have caught many bass on this when the fish want something big, but subtle.

From: Levi: Temecula, CA 5/6/15

Comments: I was fortunate to start fishing these the first year they come out have never found anything that works like this. Great for kids, every new angler I give them to catches his best fish the first time he uses them as to durability, keep them in a refrigerator, use the o ring and switch ends, bite off a short section for a stronger hook set. You can't fish it to slow!

From: Paul: Lenexa, KS 4/16/15

Comments: The Yamamoto Senko is probably the best worm I have ever fished. Super soft, great colors, and so many different ways to rig, make this plastic bait so versatile. My favorite over all is punching the large Senko. This is done with a sinker stop, 1.2 or 2.0 ounce tungsten weight, and a snelled Owner oversized worm hook. Put all of these components together with a 7 inch Yamamota Senko, and catch the fish of a lifetime!

From: William: Thomaston, GA 3/24/15

Comments: I just started bass fishing last year with little success until I started using this bait. I threw imitations like yum dingers for the longest time only catching a handful of fish until a buddy gave me a bag of Yamamoto senkos 5 inch in baby bass 2 months ago. My first time out with these I fished for  an hour and caught four good bass. I've probably caught 100 bass on this bait ( I've gone through like 15 bags) since then. I also caught my personal best on this bait last week an 8 pounder. Yesterday I nearly broke my pb with a 7.5 pounder. All in all one of the best baits on the market.

From: Luke: San Diego, CA 3/22/15

Comments: Unbelievable soft plastic bait for the summer time. Last summer I caught over 100 bass on a little lake by my house. The O'Ring tool is essential part of making the senko work. I lost less senkos using the O'Ring tool. I give this bait five stars.

From: Gianni: East Hanvoer, NJ 3/10/15

Comments: I have tried several other stick bait brands with little success. I switched back to senko in the middle of a tournament and fish on. To those who fish wacky rig, use an o-ring on the senkos and they last 3,4 & sometimes 5 fish depending on the hit bc the hook never penetrates the worm which is usually what tears them up.

From: Jon: Louisville, KY 2/28/15

Comments: Best bass bait that money can buy, I've caught 6 pound bass on this bait. The best way to use this is texas rig, the best color to use in muddy or stained water is classic watermelon

From: Dontrell: Bloomington, MN 2/15/15

Comments: best bass bait to ever hit the market. I have caught more fish on these than any other bait in my box. I've used the 3 inch size wacky rigged in creeks for smallies and have caught them up to 4 pounds, and have had multiple 30+ fish days on just these alone. The 4 inch is also my go to for largies whenever the bite gets tough at any time of the year

From: Eric: PA 2/5/15

Comments: Just started fishing seriously last summer my first 2 throws and first bass I've ever caught in the middle of a lake was from around 12' off a watermelon Yama senko had no problem producing a big strike Down in some weeds right in the first 10 minutes of my morning. Love yamas they're expensive but are my go to worms have a ton of colours. I use o rings and it majorly saves the worms life

From: Jnagz: Ontario, Canada 1/5/15

Comments: These worms always produce for me when the fishing gets tough. I often pitch it wieghtless Texas rigged to cover and watch my line as it sinks. That is all you have to do. My problem is the cost, so I have tried all the cheaper imitations. They do not work nearly as good. The other concern: durability, The plastic is super soft, that is what gives it that awesome bass catching wiggle on the fall. It's a trade off, a bait that lasts all day and doesn't get many bites, or a bait that is the best in it's class but tears up after one or two fish.

From: Chad: CO 12/20/14

Comments: Top ten all-time bass catcher. No, not durable. Use mend-it/ Expensive...so what? Secret? Heck no. I have seen people brand-new to bass fishing rig these things backwards, crooked, and all other sorts of 'wrong' ways and still come back with a bass on the hook. That tells you something, right?

From: Jay6: USA 12/19/14

Comments: best stick bait on the market, it might be a little bit more expensive then other stick baits but it is well worth it. My favorite color to use is watermelon, the bass tear this color up. I usually have to buy two packs each time I go fishing because of how many fish I catch on this.

From: Dontrell: Bloomington, MN 12/15/14

Comments: Best stick baits out there if you fish tournaments this is what you should use the action is far better than any other stick baits my favorite colors are pumpkin green and black flake and watermelon magic, use o rings they will last much longer.

From: Steven: Apex, NC 11/30/14

Comments: Great worm but not durable. Fortunate to get one fish per worm. I really believe Yamamoto is intentionally making these softer so that you will have to buy more for $0.75 a piece. I pretty much only buy two colors I can't get anywhere else - 912 and 925. They need to make a new worm called the senko Duralast!

From: Mark: Conyers, GA 9/25/14

Comments: AWESOME! let me spell it out for you. A W E S O M E !This lure is amazing. first cast BOOM! I fist thought the thing I caught was a weed but it was a bass.

From: Max: FL 9/14/14

Comments: I use 3/0 EWG hooks for the 4" and 4/0 EWG hooks for the 5". Always texas-rigged. Let it fall on slack line, work it slow, and keep your eyes on your line. If you are fishing it right, you won't be able to feel the bite on your rod until you've reeled up the slack.

From: Kevin: NJ 7/28/14

Comments: These are my favorite senko worms to use hands down. They straight up produce strikes when no other worm will. My only complaint is the durability of the bait. 1-2 fish on it and it's done.

From: Trip: Simpsonville, SC 7/16/14

Comments: I must admit I have bought these worms several times but never could bring myself to use them. I finally decided to this past weekend and wow I cleaned house with them. Its now my dirty little secret. I will be stocking up on these for sure.

From: Brian: Akron, OH 7/5/14

Comments: No other stick-bait will ever out perform the Senko. When nothing else works in my arsenal these always prevail. Green pumpkin with any color flake seems to do justice for me. Definitely worth the money.

From: Juskivel: Delta, CA 3/29/14

Comments: This is just such a good bait. It is worth the cost because they catch so many fish. I fished this along side a yum dinger and this caught fish when the dinger failed. I noticed that the yum dinger had lighter green pumpkin color than the Yamamoto senko that was a little darker which made a huge difference in the lake that I was fishing.

From: Mike: Northern IL

Comments: This bait catches fish no arguing that but it costs way to much for so little when there are cheaper options that are the same or might even catch more fish!!!! Like the big bite baits trick stick they are amazingly better than these. do yourself a favor buy these and see that in a pack of 10 you'll catch 5 fish and on a trick stick a pack of 10 will catch you 25 fish

From: Luc: sharon pa

Comments: Believe these reviews! I am generally super-wary of any hype, but I can't believe the difference the Senko has made in my action rate. I go thru a bag per trip easy, and that's way more from fish than basic wear and tear. I wish I had a dollar for every time I used another brand, got nothing, then threw the Senko right in the exact same places and yarded out nice bass. The 4" straight worm gave me my personal best this summer - a 12lb bass that was my only touch of the night.

From: Eric: Charleston, SC

Comments: AMAZING! I grew up with the senko it is the bait that got me into fishing. its so easy and it works so well! i have caught bass off of this bait all year around. I always have one rod hooked up with it. I rig it texas rigged but with no weight in my opinion its effective in water 12 feet and below. i have caught bass in less than 2 foot off of this bait

From: Jacob: Virginia, USA

Comments: Durability solved! Forget the O-rings and find yourself a clear milkshake straw.  Cut about a 1/4" off it. Slit it open then wrap it around the center of the worm for wacky rigging.  Now hook through the straw and the worm.  And its invisible.  You'll get 5 times the fish per worm, if not more.  These are the real deal, Thanks Gary!

From: WildBill: Cortland, NY

Comments: the best summertime bait there is. when the bite is on, its on with garys. You will have 20 fish days and most definitely will run into a lunker or two when fishing these right off the banks.. tackle warehouse also carries the elusive, and by far my go to, motoroil red flake.

From: Mike: Mass

Comments: Everybody knows that these things aren't all that durbale... but they do have an awsome action texas or wacky rigged, and i feel that they have a slightly faster sink rate then the other soft stick baits. All in all a awesome fish cathing bait. Cant go wrong with using one of these.

From: Mike: NJ

Comments: Theese are the best senko, and there is no doubt in my mind about it. theese are great for wacky riggin but theese tear easily so the o rings are a great idea for theese senkos. but if you are goin to texas rig i dont reccomend theese senkos i usually use dingers for texas riggin

From: Mack: Canada

Comments: There are mucher cheaper baits out there than this, and mre durable too. With this bait you'll be lucky to get 2 fish over a pound before it rips off. This lure is a fish catching machine dont get me wrong, but you may as well toss some butter on your hook and use that. An the price is ridiculous, i can go out and buy fish for cheaper.

From: Josh: Canada

Comments: there just isn't anything like a senko. people will try to convince you to getting a bunch of other cheap baits that look and feel like a senko but just dont get the same reaction. The best thing about these baits is the way they fall; and when you're flippin and punchin thats what matters. ask anyone and they'll tell you. Senkos will catch fish

From: Jeremy: Silicon Valley, CA

Comments: Absolutely the best stick bait on the PLANET!!! I've tried the others that claim they out fish SENKO and they don't,PERIOD!!!!!There are a couple that are close to SENKO but that's it,just close..This is the GO-TO bait for most every fisherman. Keep one tied on at all times.

From: Tony: West Chester, PA

Comments: You can't beat a 4" black senko for catching smallies. These are not durable, but like the man said, I'd rather have 5 smallmouth in my livewell than 5 senko's in their bag.

From: Greg: AL

Comments: They just flat-out catch fish. wacky, dropshot, T-rigged, carolina rig. anything you think of, the senko does it. its just the most versatile, fish-catching bait i have ever used. if you have not used senkos yet, you owe it to yourself to get a pack or ten.

From: Cullen: Ashburn, VA

Comments: The water was pretty cold so I got the 3 in. version in cinnamon brown color...WOW.I used a weedless Gamy spit/drop shot hook(in my mind the best wacky hook ever) wacky riged it and threw it out weightless. I probebly got 20 strikes and missed most of them until I learned when to set the hook. You got set the hook IF YOU FEEL ANYTHING! As the McDonald's logo says..."I'm lovin' it!" God bless!

From: Elijah: Mystic, CT

Comments: Ive used the 5in, 4in and 3in senko wacky or texas rigged all catch fish. Although it breaks easily u can still catch about two fish one the same worm. So far the 5in caught me my biggest fish of the summer. Also great for smallmouth is the 4in senko.

From: Kenny: Philadelphia, PA

Comments: Very new to bass fishing, pretty much only been fishing since about May 2012 and have been trying a little bit of everything from jigs to spinnerbaits and crankbaits and nothing has given me the kind of success in a single day that a wacky rigged Bama bug senko has. Caught 9 bass in about two hours including a couple 2 lbers and a nice 3lber which is about as big as the fish get in my pond.
