Soft jerk baits are known fish catchers and the Salty Super Fluke from Zoom Baits is one of the premier baits on the market today. The natural fish shape is attractive to all kinds of fish in both fresh and salt water, but big bass really like them. Because of their streamlined shape they glide and swoop through the water easily with the slightest twitch of the rod tip. Use them weightless and they hit the surface like a fleeing baitfish. Use Insert Weights to get the Super Fluke down around fish-holding structure or deep into brush. Try the Zoom Super Flukes anytime you need a quiet baitfish imitation. With all the colors available you'll find one that catches fish in your lake.
Comments: What. A. Bait. Whether I'm throwing the junior for river smallmouth or the regular for largemouth under trees or throwing the magnum for bass, pike, muskie, or even in saltwater. They are awsome 10/10.
From: mack: salisbury nc 8/24/23
Comments: Ordered and received the watermelon slice magnum. The appearance in person does not match the picture, as I was expecting more of a gold glitter belly. In person, these appear as watermelon color with a strong presence of red glitter. They still look great, just wanted to make you aware before you order.
From: Chris: Florida 5/19/23
Comments: Haven't seen anyone else here mention it yet, but nose hooking on a 1/0 or 2/0 dropshot hook is a great presentation if you don't need to go weedless.
From: Unknown: 3/30/23
Comments: This plastic has been a top seller for years everywhere for a reason. I like to fish it on a Texas rig with a pegged 1/8 oz. bullet weight. Its slim profile allows it to get deep into cover and slip through vegetation with ease. Tex-spose the hook and jerk it through grass or laydowns. A lot of anglers may not know this, but this plastic is also the best bladed jig trailer there is. When rigged on something like a Chatterbait or a Thunder Cricket the fluked tail will flick, wiggle, and get you a lot of bites. An American-made product at $5 a pack? This is a no-brainer!
From: ManometMadman227: Massachusetts, USA 8/10/22
Comments: durability is pretty good, it feels like rubber, action is also pretty good, so yeah.
From: Someone: Minnesota 8/10/22
Comments: Very versatile bait. You can throw them on spinning gear or baitcast gear. Add weight. Add a swivel. Use it as a finesse swimjig trailer. Dropshot it. And on and on. I have been using the WM Moondust color a lot lately and the fish give it two fins up.
From: Jason: 5/23/22
Comments: Great sub surface/ topwater bait for fish blowing up on shad, get that thang popping the surface and let it die.
From: Randall: Jasper, GA 4/29/22
Comments: Very productive jig trailer. I've been tipping 3/8 oz jigs with these with. Black/blue. Black/blue laminate. Big bass eat these. I trim the skirt on my jigs just a hair past the bend. 16lb. Floro.
From: Unknown 6/25/21
Comments: Oldie but a goodie. Durability is pretty poor because the nose rips so quickly but these are some of the least expensive plastics on the market these days so shredding a few extra baits is a small price to pay when this is what the fish want.
From: Unknown 4/16/21
Comments: These things are simply killer. The best pond bait out there. Houdini is amazing at imitating bluegill and the action is amazingFrom: Unknown: New York 9/6/20
Comments: My go to bait on a sunny slightly windy day in spring/summer, the movement on these things is crazy darting back and forth up and down. If you're looking for an awesome reaction strike these are it. You'll be watching the fluke dart around then see shiny belly come up and swamp it.
From: Nic: Georgia 6/9/20
Comments: Arkansas shiner is not the same color anymore. Was a hot color that worked for all kinds of predatory species, but they changed the color and it's more of a one tone, pearl-dark brown - don't buy this - it's too transparent of a color now. From: Shawn: Minnesota 11/16/19
Comments: Love these baits. I figured I'd try the watermelon with the chartreuse tail and I was a little disappointed in the quality. They catch fish...flat out but the tails are barely connected. They fall off at the connection between colors after one strike. My suggestion if you want this color is to get some dye and just dip the tail.
From: Mike: Lexington, SC 10/1/19
Comments: these baits are MAGIC in shallow, clear ponds it is really and truly mind blowing bass just swallow them, advertisers talk smack , but seriously if you don't have these in your box, you've got a problem
From: Unknown 8/8/19
Comments: This bait is famous for catching fish and everyone knows about it so I'm not gonna talk a lot about it but I will talk about the magnum fluke. Don't be scared to throw this at small or big fish! I've caught everything from a 13 inch smallmouth to a 4lb large mouth so don't be hesitant to throw it!!!
From: William: Missouri 2/20/19
Comments: This needs to be one bait you should always have at all times. I catch fish all year long with these in all colors. Some of the best color selection and they catch fish when nothing else works. They work dead sticked, slow or fast jerked and even slow swimming. The only problem I can say I have with these is they don't last, I catch maybe 2-3 fish and have to throw the bait away.
From: David: NC 1/9/19
Comments: This is one of the only baits that probably doesn't even need a review box because they are that good. if you've mastered how to fish a fluke then you've mastered how to fish hundreds of different species across the world. cheers
From: TP: OC, CA 9/29/18
Comments: The Zoom fluke is probably the easiest bait to learn how to use. In other words you can teach yourself and others very easily how to use this. My 8 year old son trying to fish and we all know how impatient kids are when learning new things. I took him out to the lake and rigged a watermelon red fluke on the end of his 6' foot spinning rod with 8lb test with an EWG hook. I pointed out to the water and we watched all the shad the bass were chasing up to the surface. I told him throw your lure out there, let it sink a little bit and shake your rod tip and reel it in slowly. When a bass jumps on it you jam him up! My son went to town catching bass that whole morning. After that he became a little fluke master. He uses other lures yeah but he always has a fluke ready. He's 10 now carries a bag with flukes in different colors. Go figure.
From: Skysoldier173rd: Mesquite, TX 6/19/18
Comments: This is the only bait that I have ultimate confidence in. I opt to fish it on a 7' M action baitasting set up w/ 12-15 lb line because of the cover in which I often fish this bait around. I normally use a 3/0 EWG hook and make long casts utilizing a twitch-twitch-"short pause"-twitch-"long pause" retrieve. I typically fish this bait around sunken trees, docks or over weed flats. Many people think this needs to be a slow methodical bait, but the truth is my best days on Table Rock and in WI have been twitching this bait as fast as I can along rock banks and watching them come clean out of the water to eat it. Some people prefer to throw this on a spinning reel with a swivel 12-18" in front of the bait, but I haven't found it to be necessary. This bait is also amazing on beds Neko Rigged because it looks like a bluegill eating eggs. BEST COLORS (Shad/Minnow Profile) (Clear Water)-->Tennessee Shad, Electric Shad, and Glimmer Blue (Stained/Dirty)-->White Pearl, Silver Flash, Disco Green, and Blue Pearl Silver BEST COLORS (Bluegill/Perch Profile) (Clear Water)-->Houdini, Bluegill Flash, and Mardi Gras (Stained/Dirty)-->Sun Gill, Tilapia Magic, and Watermelon Gold Fleck (with the tail dyed Chartreuse)
From: Nick: WI 4/17/18
Comments: The Zoom Super Fluke helped me win our club tournament on Lake Okeechobee yesterday. A harsh cold front was moving in and the bite was very tough. It was time to slow down and use smaller baits and finesse presentations. The fluke fit the bill as it can be rigged weedless and weightless and presented subtly to hesitant bass. The bites came on the fall as the bait neared the bottom. I used my favorite color, Bluegill Flash, rigged weightless on a 3-0 round bend worm hook.
From: Bob: South Florida 12/11/17
Comments: Got to admit they are one of the most durable soft baits I have used to date, Used weightless and absolutely produces
From: Jayz - Unknown 10/4/17
Comments: I use these on the intercoastals at Canaveral National Seashore and the super fluke in the baby bass color is about the only thing the trout will eat. I have even tried live pilchards and it is not even close. I highly recommend these to anyone going saltwater fishing in Florida. I like to throw it on a 3/8 oz jig-head and they absolutely tear this bait up.
From: Budd: Osteen 7/26/17
Comments: Great bait for a variety of different situations. Can't go wrong with White or Bluegill Flash.
From: James: Dothan, AL 7/9/17
Comments: This bait will catch fish in any body of water in the world. I genuinely believe that. There are several colors that I won't mention because of how effective they've been for me and I need to keep a few tricks up my sleeve. However, Arkansas Shiner, White, and Green Pumpkin Red will catch them anywhere you're going fishing. I like to throw mine on a 3/0 EWG hook, 10 lb braid with an 8 lb fluoro leader on a Medium Action Spinning Rod or a 6'10" MH Baitcasting Set-up with 12-15 lb Fluorocarbon. There are several great retrieves, but the "twitch, twitch, pause (reel up slack), repeat" cadence is my go-to especially if I'm covering water. You can actually twitch this bait back and forth in place near a specific target and call the fish up to it. Don't be afraid to fish this up near the surface (even in deeper water); the fish will come and eat it.
From: Nick: Wisconsin 4/15/17
Comments: The bass were being really finicky in my neighbors pond. I was originally throwing a frogood but I switched it up and threw this trick worm in red and black on a weightless Texas rig. On a 3/0 hook & the bass SMASHED it caught 3 with in 20 minutes. Would've had 5 but two spit the hook out. Point being this worm was stright money.
From: Andrew: KY 8/13/16
Comments: This is a must have bait in your tackle box. Use the fluke size for ponds & lakes for largemouth & use the jr size for creek smallies. I've broken my PB probably 5 times this summer, all on this bait right here. I like the white pearl & bubblegum for ponds & a green pumpkin color for river smallies. Just all around a great bait.
From: Colin: DE 8/13/16
Comments: The salty super fluke is a must have in your arsenal. The best rigs for me have been texas & weightless with nail, green pumpkin and watermelon chartreuse have been the most productive. 12 pounds uni line spinning reel paired with a medium fast rod. By far the best bait in my experience.
From: Rafamar: Monterrey, Mexico 2/22/16
Comments: The Watermelon magic super fluke is a must have. If it's the first time you're getting this bait, get that color. I caught 4 bass in a row at the same spot in mid fall. Just jerk it a few times, stop, and reel in. I prefer fishing them weightless since they're a killer mid water bait.
From: Mahdi: MD 12/16/15
Comments: Simply the greatest flukes out there! Has great action, and can be rigged belly hook, Carolina, and Texas rigged and still catch fish. Has been my go to bait ever since I caught a personal best 15 pounder the first time I used it. Just an all around great lure.
From: Jeremy: Celina, TX 10/11/15
Comments: Best all around soft jerkbait, period. Texas rig, dropshot, Carolina rig, Alabama rig, flyline, jig trailer, the list goes on and on. Whether its winter, fall, spring, or summer this bait gets bit.
From: Zac: San Diego, CA 9/12/15
Comments: Best and favorite bait I have ever used for smallmouth bass in shallow clear creeks. Rig on a 2 or 3/o wide gap hook guarantees a hook up
From: Tyler: Cameron, WV 8/6/15
Comments: hands down, best soft plastic bait for summer time. I've caught numerous 4-6 lbers on this bait. Works from stained to crystal clear water. Personally it works best for me over the tops of grass beds and skipped under and around docks. Nothing better than watching a big bass come out of nowhere and nail this bait. Rig them weightless on a 7' medium to medium heavy rod and hang on
From: Greg: LA 3/22/15
Comments: This is the first soft plastic I ever started using weightless, perhaps 15 years ago. I got hooked on the action immediately, and this bait, coupled with a 4/0 wide gap hook, is responsible for several hundred quality bass. Look how many people copy this design now. That should tell you something
From: Hunter: TX 2/9/14
Comments: Ok this is the single best bass lure I've ever used, I have atleast 15 bags of these. I like to use a 2/0 Round Worm Hook and TX rig them I find that Jr. Get more bites. Arkansas Shiner is the best color and you can fish these in shallow swamps or highland resovoirs like Dale Hollow. I use them for creek Smallmouth and it is candy to them. It will catch you many fish and big fish must buy.
From: Will: Nashville, TN 12/3/14
Comments: Nice action on these baits. I prefer to fish them weightless with a wide gap hook. Lots of salt in them to help with a nice and slow sink to the bottom. I don't fish these to fast, I prefer to let them sink and give it a couple twitches. I've caught both large and smallmouth bass of these. My favorite color is pearl with a chartreuse tail.
From: Pat: Worcester, MA 11/29/14
Comments: this bait is durable it last a good 3-8 fish my most successful colors are watermelon and rainbow shad both used weightless
From: Colin: MI 6/25/14
Comments: this bait is my favorite soft plastic. When ever this fishing is tough I throw a zoom super fluke in green pumpkin or midnight chart. I usually Texas rig it with no weights. I have caught almost every bass on the fall. These baits are also durable I will catch about 6-12 fish on each fluke! Best soft plastic you won't regret buying these!
From: Ben: IL 6/4/14
Comments: the fluke is a fairly simple design, however zoom manages to make superb quality bait that catches fish time and time again. Not only does it have the great "wounded" action of a baitfish, it also has a very soft but durable plastic at a price you can't beat. Unlike most soft plastics I use that average 2-3 fish til the bait is completely destroyed, the zoom fluke averages 4-5 (from the experiences I've had). At such quality and at a reasonable price, you simply can't go wrong with a Zoom fluke.
From: Zach: TX 5/10/14
Comments: Best fluorocarbon I have used especially for the price. Super smooth casting, low memory, superior knot and abrasion strength. Obviously review by unknown person has no idea how to use a baitcaster or tie knots if he is breaking this line casting and getting birds nest.
From: Brian: Farmington, MN
Comments: If you are having problems with flukes being bent from the package, boil a small pot of water and submerge the bent tail for 15 seconds cant be anymore otherwise the plastic will melt but this is a sure fire way to always get your flukes running strait.
From: Dan: Chicago, IL
Comments: This is absolutely one of my favorite baits. It is so versatile, you can fish it almost any way you can think of and still catch fish. When the bite is slow, i just throw on a watermelon red flake fluke on a 3/0 wide gap hook and rip lips! A must have in your tackle box
From: JC
Comments: This bait really impresses me, not only does it have superb action, but they are also cheap. I love all the zoom baits. I caught my very first bass on a zoom product and became a regular customer to them because of these awesome baits. Bubblegum and silver rainbow rigged on a 3/0 EWG hook = money.
From: Marcus: Tempe
Comments: I am 100% with ya on the bent bait issue. Take half the baits out, put them in an old, empty Zom bag, STRAIGHT. Use the original bag for the other 5. After a few days, they will straighten out. But yeah, Zoom, get with the program. They prob wont though, they still sell thousands a day so why change anthing?
From: Meatwad: basswipe's canal
Comments: still one of the best go to baits ever made. But the quality has been dissapointing of late. (Packing of baits, all bent) i have to remove all the baits and re-package them before taking them for swimming lessons...
From: Pierre: South Afrika, Cape Town
Comments: I love this bait on scroungers they just have the perfect action. Try it.From: David: Shanghai
Comments: Great bait which I have used for years, however sadly the quality has got poor and its hard to find a straight bait in the packet. From: Allan: South Africa
Comments: Great bait, catches fish but ive stopped using them cause of the quality they r coming out with. Got 1 pack the other day and not 1 fluke in it was made right to fish with. From: Dave: South Africa
Comments: This is my second favorite bait(behind the strike king shime stick), and when the stick bait dont get me a limit, this will. first day out got a 15"er on the third cast, second time out got a 10-12 lb limit(in a 8lb avg. limit pond), bigggest being a 4.5 lb 19" pig. rig it on a 3/0 ewg, 12 lb flouro, on a 7ft M spinning reel with a 2500 spinning reel. Tight lines!!! Thanks TW and Zoom
From: Mitch: WI
Comments: a friend told me about these about a year ago when i first got serious about bass fishing. if you don't catch anything while using this bait then their are no bass around, period.!!! great producer, this is my go to bait.!!
From: Bob: kerrville tx usa
Comments: Ill keep it short- Super consistent catchers, great for quantity more than quality (but you can still get bigger ones). 3 or 4/0 wide gap hook, and fish it like a jerkbait. These also work well for walleye on a jig head. Not very durable, maybe 2 or 3 fish per bait. Buy lots.
From: Josh: Canada
Comments: Nothing can beat this fluke. Don't buy any other brand because this one is best. I caught my PB largemouth at 6.1 lbs on this first cast into the day. Amazing is the only word to describe it. White Ice works best for me.
From: Ed: NY
Comments: Caught my first(and personal best)bass on the 5 inch in smokin shad, you know bass love it when they hit it 3 times! All the other companies are just a copy of a copy of a copy. The Super Fluke is the origanal, and the Super Fluke is the best!
From: Elijah
Comments: Been using these for a few years now and I've never been disappointed. I have used almost all colors including baby bass, watermelon red, smoking shad and many others. BUT my go to color is bubble gum. Not a color many people tend to go to, but I have found them to work better than any other color down in the south. If you're fishing semi murky water...use bubble gum and you won't be disappointed. I promise. From: Justin: Virginia Beach, VA
Comments: One of the most consistent baits on the market for catching fish in the toughest of conditions! Zoom Salty Super Flukes are my favorite baits for fishing Calico Bass in heavy kelp beds around Southern California. They catch quality fish! They offer so many great colors and they are very reasonably priced compared to other softbaits on the market. I've tried other similar baits, but now I only use Zooms because they simply work!!!
From: Jin: Southern California
Comments: all i can say is just. WONDERFULL!!!!these things flat out catch fish,no matter what color,i use the white pearl, bubblegum, arkansas shiner, albino, baby bass and all of em work like a king......i rig this bait with a gamakatsu offset shank work hook size #1.these are literally the best soft jerkbaits on the market.buy them!!!this will always be one of my go-to baits.....
From: Nathan: GA
Comments: these superflukes really work! They work for big largemouth as well as large smallmouth. I have had luck with both smallies and largemouths. The movement of the flukes are just outstanding. Incredible bait i highly suggest you try it on your next day out on the pond/lake for largemouth or the river for smallies. Goodluck!
From: Zach: Griswold, CT
Comments: An excellent lure when bass are attacking schools of shad. Cast the 5.25 inch Super Fluke on a 1/16 oz 4/0 Sworming Hornet Sling Blade Flutter hook into the middle of the boiling water, let it sink below the shad. If it doesn't get a strike on the fall, jerk it around on the retrieve through the school. Match the color of the shad.
