Delivering a signature spunky action, the HogFarmer Baits Spunk Shad Swimbait is built to shimmy and shake unlike any other swimbait on the market. Molded with a unique pintail design, the HogFarmer Baits Spunk Shad Swimbait creates an enticing slithering action like a baitfish fleeing for its life when rigged on a scrounger head or vibrating jig. The pintail design of the HogFarmer Baits Spunk Shad Swimbait also allows anglers to rig it weightless and fish it like a soft plastic jerkbait to create a super erratic side-to-side darting action that fish simply can’t resist. Finished with a heavy dose of scent that will please the palate of any bass, the HogFarmer Baits Spunk Shad Swimbait will add a new dimension to your swimbait arsenal.

Second favorite trailerOne of my favorite trailers out there when I dont want too much action like a craw style tail. 40% of the time when I'm using a chatterbait or swimjig, I'm using these trailers. Tails doesnt get bit off so easily either, so they last alot longer than you expect. Good stuff from Hog Farmer Baits.

These are the superior spunk shadsThis manufacturer produces very consistent color patterns throughout a pack. It is rare to find a much variance even with the more complex colors compared to the Missle Baits version which can vary wildly throughout a pack. These are the same price as Missle but much better QC.

Best Chatterbait/Spinnerbait trailerOne of the few TacticalBassin recommendations I've gone with, and this was a great one. 4.5" for jackhammers and 3.5" for minimax. Great tail action and decent durability. Just glue the head back together when it tears.

Money baitThis bait is so money. If you can’t catch one on this bait, they won’t eat anything else. My favorite size is 3.5 on 1/8 oz 2/0 Scottsboro hellfire finesse jig head.

Chatterbait/Jackhammer1/2oz Jackhammer & a 4.5" spunkshad will get you bites from MN to Florida. Best trailer there is & you can make it dart- which gets great reaction bites. Buy 3-4 colors and find out what they want... it's worth it

Best Chatterbait trailer periodI've been fishing the spunk shad for a couple years now and it has been the #1 chatterbait trailer by a wide margin.
The 3.5 and 4.5 on the mini max are so good and the 4.5 and 5.5 for the jack hammer and elite evo.

Good succesBought 6 packs of different sizes and colors this past off season to try. Have thrown it on the chatter of course and spinnerbait. I have mostly been using it on a Carolina rig after putting it on during my last tournament with 20 minutes left and landed 5 bass. Took it out again the other day and landed much better quality fish when I could take my time and experiment. Gonna be using it again at a tourny in the morning. Only problem is after a few good solid hits the plastic breaks down fairly quickly and requires a new one or rerig every other cast. Definitely has a place on the boat

Comments: 3.5" in Natural Gill color on a MiniMax and Stealth Chatterbait in bluegill/green pumpkin is a perfect match. Catches fish like crazy. Both SMB and LMB love it. Also a very durable bait.

Comments: I had been a fishing guide for 35 years and have never seen a bait this good before. Even small bass jump on this bait. I have been caught by many lures before ( eg: flying lure). NOT this lure. This bait had the most action on a chatterbait I have ever seen and fish come from many feet away to attack this hog farmer lure. I saw this on a video from “tactical bassin†and ordered a few to try. My neighbor went fishing with me and said “order me some too†WOW!!! Great bait! Great action! I am sold. Thanks Hog farmer for creating this great lure.

Comments: Never had much luck using it as a trailer but smallmouth seem to like them on a drop shot, and I'm not even talking about using a smaller size, I'm using the 4" and 5" for drop shot and slaying them, but only problem is you replace the bait for every fish you catch.

Comments: Yesterday i caught a 8.62 lbs bass and (1) over 5lbs on a 1/2 ounce jack hammer chatterbait (brett's bream) with an 4.5 natural bream trailer. I am trying to narrow down my lure selections ..and now this will be my only go to for chatterbait trailers. the action is crazy awesome!!!

Comments: The Spunk Shad 5.5" is an incredible trailer on a bladed jig. I had particular success paring it with the Phenix Wobble Head Bladed Jig in 3/4oz. These are the most erratic and active trailer tails that I have ever seen and do a great job of getting reaction bites! I liked the Ghost Minnow and Green Pumpkin Magic colors especially.

Comments: Yes, it is a great trailer on a bladed jig. It is also fantastic on a spinnerbait. The tail is alive and I have had great success with it so far! Highly recommend as a trailer for both baits!

Comments: Just started using this year and so far the bass gave me two thumbs up. I am always looking for a better trailer and have tried all the popular fare for shad style trailers. These will increase your confidence in chatterbaits. Have not tried them on a spinnerbait yet, but sure they will work.

Comments: I have to say I was a STRONG opponent against the chatterbait/Jackhammer, until I picked up a jackhammer and paired it up with one of these trailers and it really changed my mind. With this setup I ended up winning a 2 day tournament on Kentucky Lake with 12 lbs. 2 oz. both days for a 24 lbs. 4 oz. total and won by over 9 pounds. This trailer has the right action and will continue to be in my boat. Awesome Bait!!!!!

Comments:Along with the Zako this is the best bladed jig trailer out there.Has just enough action but does not over-power the blade on the jig.Durability is ok and have caught multiple fish on one bait.Made in the USA!
From:Mike: Rockford, IL
Comments:When throwing vibrating bladed jigs (Jack Hammers or Picasso) I like to use this trailer or a Yamamoto Zako. This has the perfect amount of action behind a chatterbait style lure and does not overwhelm the action of the blade.Fairly durable for how soft this bait is.This is not a great option to be used as a swimbait.

Comments:THEE best chatterbait trailer I've ever used. Gets more bites that the GY Zako and Zman Razr shadz.Any color works, doesn't even have to match, I think the fish just want the action. Buy a pack or 6
From: Coop:Minnesota 4/18/19
Comments:This bait will not work on a scrounger head for me, no matter the size of the bill. The bulk and ribs on the body of this bait kill any action a scrounger head will produce. I tested several sizes and head weights. However, the good news is the tail action on these things is amazing!! Try it on a bladed jig or an under spin and you won't be disappointed.

Comments:SWIMBAIT... This is a misinterpretation of what this bait it. Think trailers for anything that moves. You can hold this thing up and it acts almost like a wobble head doll....it won't stop moving. I have been super impressed by the subtle, yet extreme action this bait gives off. The smaller green pumpkin bait is an awesome NED Rig bait too.
