Comments: I own the 7'1 mh/xf and use it as my bottom contact rod for spotted baybass in the Socal salt. The rod is light and sensitive but has the backbone needed to pull fish from pilings and turn their head when it needs to. I love throwing t-rigs and free rigs in the 1/4-3/8 oz range with a 3.5 in. osp dolive beaver which the rod handles perfectly. The rod can throw heavier but l like to keep it at a 3/8 sinker with a plastic unless I have to go up in size. Again the rod can handle heavier, and fishing the sleeper craw (5/8oz)on it is a dream, but I keep it at 3/8 oz mostly. I have only used the rod for bottom contact but the it seems like a great all around rod. I highly recommend it.

Comments: I have 3 of these rods now and i can't stop buying more. this is my favorite rod line of all time, it just does it all. every single rod in the line-up is a STUD. they all can do so much with ease and have incredible actions. Highly recommend the 6'10 medium , the 7'0 mh and the 7'4 heavy. with these 3 rods + a cranking rod you could do almost anything. also this rod in spinning is just as good.

Comments: I'm a huge loomis fan but i got to admit the reel seat on both the legend elite and the legend tournament is by far the most comfortable I've used. And for the money the elite is a great buy for all you get.

Comments: I originally got the 6,8mxf for jerk baits but I don't throw jerks enough to justify a 400$ rod so, I contacted S.C. and worked out a swap for the 7,1 mhxf. Basically my small jig and t-rig rod, 1/2 oz. and under. Paired up with a Pfluger Patriarch xt, the combo is feather weight, very sensitive and sneaky powerful. The blank is flawless and fully painted which is a nice touch other companies should be doing on 300$+ rods. I own mostly Megabass and Dobyns and the Elite is definitely on par with the high end stuff. Top of the line guides, comfortable handle and reel seat make it a gem. I wish it didn't have the fore grip and instead had an aluminum nut but thats aesthetics only. After catching a bunch of 5 and 6 pounders( thats about the biggest they get around here) this is rod held up with no problems. The rod has performed great and is definitely worth the price.

Comments: St. Croix rods are quality rods, it's as simple as that. I own the 7'4 Heavy Fast and it is easily one of my favorite rods. It's a stout rod with plenty of horsepower but still has excellent sensitivity. I use it primarily for Cali swim jigs but have also thrown frogs, flipped jigs and T-rigs and wouldn't hesitate to tie on a Carolina rig as well. It's just an awesome rod. And the price is right. The Elite's had torzite guides before most other big name rods but still are reasonably priced. Can't go wrong with St Croix rods in my opinion.

Comments: Just got the legend elite 7' mh in today. It felt a bit heavy towards the tip. The rod it was going to replace was a falcon lowriider that was about 12 years old or so.I weighed them both and the Falcon was about 3 grams lighter and felt more balanced to me. Sending the elite back.

Comments: Absolutely love this rod. I have the 7'0 MHXF paired with a Shimano Aldebaran for my Jig setup and I could not be more pleased. Feels like a feather but has more than enough power. I fought a 45 pound flathead with 15 lb Seagur and it handled it like a champ. 10/10 would highly recommend
