Paddle Tail Swimbait Gear Guide
This Weighted Twistlock hook employs the same hook as the 5132 Twistlock, but also features a non-movable weight attached to the shank. The hooks added weight helps to sink or swim the bait into the strike zone. With its Twistlock Centering-Pin-Spring (CPS is patent pending), the bait can be permanently secured by inserting the pin in the center of a soft plastic, which can then be screwed on the Twistlock coil spring to rig perfectly everytime! Ideal for weedless style fishing without having to add a separate weight. Great for skipping or pitching into deep cover. Open gap allows for more positive hook sets. Features include a 30-degree eye-bend, XXX-strong forged shank, Super Needle Point, and black chrome finish.

Comments: I'm sure the quality is great, but using the twistlock with Z-Man soft plastics for saltwater inshore is a frustrating day on the water. Spend more time getting the dang twistlock back on after the annoying lizzard fish pull it out plus the initial mounting is near impossible if you have any procure on any finger.

Comments: I fish very rocky rivers a lot. I love slow dragging weighted swimbaits on the bottom in the fall and winter in the heavy rocks. I was excited to try these hooks because the gap between the hook tip and the swimbait when you push down on the bait seemed bigger than with other brands of weighted hooks. Normally I remove about half of the screw locks (your baits will not come off, at least not im my experience) on other weighted swimbait hooks to increase that gap. To me that allows for more hookups because there is more room for the hook. I did not remove half of the Owner screw lock or CPS because the gap was plenty big. That part I really liked. Anyway after rigging this hook on a Keitech and dragging it through the rocks I kept getting hung up. Some times I could work the bait out but often times it was permanently wedged in the rocks and I had to break off. The hook doesn't get hung up the weight does. If you fish heavy rock you know what I'm talking about. It's inevitable but for me these Owner hooks would hang up more than other brands. I could only assume it's because of the design of the weight and/or the placement of the weight on the shank. Now look the hooks are still great as long as you aren't dragging them through heavy rock. That's my experience any way. They are affordable too.

Comments: Dude, Owner rules. Anything they come out with is of the highest quality and performance, even their softbaits made to work with their terminal, which are sadly no more. They are innovative and committed to giving you the edge out on the water. Need the perfect hook for your Swimbaits and Jerkbaits? Look no further; Here it is.

Comments: The 5/0-1/8oz is perfect for Flukes and Caffeine Shads (4" and 5"). I find the hook heavy enough to sink the bait, but light enough to suspend after jerking it.

Comments: Lures like Swim Senkos and Swimmin Super Flukes swim true with the weighted shank. The Twistlock holds the lure tip securely in place strike after strike.
