Comments: These things are awesome! I have been fishing them with the Flatlands Tackle Swinging Weedless Ned Heads 1/0, with the Cashon icon BFS 6'8 medium light. More fun than you can shake a fishing pole at.

Comments: Great product the salamander profile produces more fish for me on heavily pressured water. Durable bait last a long time.

Comments: Been using them on my BFS lakes are high 1/16 weight it's been great and they last a long time on smallmouth and largemouth.

Comments: Great on a Ned head and they have great detail plus they last and they catch Smallmouth. Excellent job Savage.

Comments: I have put these baits on a Z-man finesse bullets weedless jig head. The bait looks really natural moving along the bottom. The lead molded bait keeper will not tear up the plastic, because of the ElaZtech type material they are made of. Give it a try, it works great.

Comments: Awesome little Ned bait for when bite is tough or places that have small lizards in lakes. One of my go to bfs baits.

Comments: I've caught quite a few small mouth with this bait and it really holds up well very durable thumbs up for sure.

Comments: Absolutely love this little guy. I've caught countless bass and crappie. Has literally never failed. It's skunk proof.

Comments: I used this lure the first time in a little pond. I lost my Ned-rig at the second cast because of a bite of a pike. After a while, I caught a bass in the average size of the local water. I repeated the experience in a larger natural lake with a highly-pressurized population of bass, and it was the unique successful lure of the day. The lure is undoubtedly good: it has a very natural look, and a very appealing smell (but I am not a bass!), and the combination of structure (segmented) and material (soft and buoyant) impart a lot of movements even with the slightest solicitation. The material can resist a lot of bites. The selection of colors is large enough to face any water condition.

Comments: Awesome soft plastic. Can't go wrong with anything on a ned rig

Comments: I've got pink and green pumpkin one - both of them work great ! It stays on the hook nice, durable enough. Not sure if those tiny limbs are attracting more fishes but I ended up catching more than just using simple ned rig stick bait. Recommended.

Comments: Wow. This little guy is something else. First time out I toss Sal onto a small rock ledge in 2ft of water and get instantly bit. Bam! A monster sized Rock Bass. OK, great. I toss Sal back to the same shelf. Bam! A 13" largemouth. Then Bam! another Rocky. Working down the bank I have fish picking up Sal and running with him that I can't hook. Probably Bluegills. Then Bam! a nice 15" Bass. Everything wants to crush little Sal. Oh man, Mother Nature can be so mean. This is a sweet little lure if you want lots of action. Rock Bass, Pickerel and Largemouth just can't resist it. I haven't fished it enough throughout the year to find out if it can be a giant slayer, but it appears that it holds up well and is VERY productive in the summer over sand/rock type bottoms. I have a feeling Smallies will crush this guy too. Maybe I'll head to the river next week...

Comments: Awesome bedding bass bait. They smash it and don't let go; because it really pisses off the bass. I think looks like salamander with it's face down on the bed eating bass eggs.

Comments: Ill start by saying a ned rig is pretty much my go to, im a huge fan of the zman stuff but was actually turned onto these by a friend. Well I've only tried them a couple times but they caught quite a few highly pressured, shallow water smallmouth on memorial day weekend with crazy boat traffic and gin clear water when the fish wouldn't touch anything else. I was impressed. They certainly won't be replacing the TRD, but they absolutely have a permanent place right next to them. Essentially they're pretty well equal with the zman stuff in my opinion, just a different profile with a great design that gives them great movement without haveing to overwork the bait, great for working very slowly and dead sticking.

Comments: Its an amazing ned rig bait! I've had it for about a month now and always catch a handful of fish on it. To make things even more impressive I'm still on my first plastic :O this bait is super stretchy, super durable and WILL catch giants. Will get more in different colors for sure.
From: Sebastian: Toronto, Canada 6/10/22
Comments: It is a great lure. It has some really good action to it! Does it get bit more than the TRD, I don't think so. The problem is the price for how many you get. You're paying a dollar a piece for them. They do last if you're in a boat. You can dozens of fish on one bait because they are similar to elaztech. If you're on the bank you will most likely get snagged and lose them pretty quick. Because I'm on the bank I'd much rather use the more economical Z-man TRD. If you have a boat I'd go for these. I really like them on a Nedlockz EWG. They have a little recessed hook slot that helps with snags, and they fit perfectly on that hook. I just wish they gave you more than 5. Overall though, it's an amazing bait that is definitely better looking than any other ned bait on the market! I'm considering buying more because they look so good in the water!

Comments: Super durable plastic, This thing straight GETS BIT. My favorite Ned bait on the market right now.
From: Ben: Unknown 5/7/22
Comments: This ned rig lure is great! Yes it's sort of small, yes it will always stand straight up on a pause, yes It's the only ned rig lure I throw. If you store it correctly it will last for months. Ive caught chain pickerel, blue gill, redbreast and idk how many largemouth bass on this salamander. Largest lmb so far was 8.8 so it catches big ones too. I prefer to use a 1/10 ounce head but have went up to a 1/4 in certain situations. Light action rod, small open face reel, 20lb braid to 8lb fluro leader!

Comments: My favorite Ned rig bait!!! Action is perfect!!! The Savage Salamander will not disappoint!!
From: Barry: Harold, KY 2/25/22
Comments: I love this bait! I fish mine on a 1/10th oz. jig head and these will absolutely stand straight up off the bottom at rest but if you slow drag them they have a (IMO) realistic crawl as if searching for food. The tail has plenty of twitching action when worked.
From: Unknown: 2/16/22
Comments: They were smaller than what I thought, but that is my own fault.I would like to get a size a little bit larger (4.25) have used they and gotten bite but no fish yet. Durability I would say is great , doesn't seem to tear. The fish seemingly will strike them. Lifelike and realism are great. Again would love to see a size larger. Overall I like them.

Comments: I never thought I would find a ned bait that would outfish TRD's, these are definitely the ones. They get absolutely hammered. Im still using the same plastic on my third day on the water. Crazy durable.
From: Unknown: 10/12/21
Comments: To be fair I have have only used the Savage Gear ned on a couple of occasions. I honestly did not have much success with them. I found that the TRD Bug z worked better. It could of been the conditions, or the weather that made the difference. I do plan on giving them a try several more times before I draw a final conclusion and rating.

Comments: Good lure, have caught many bass on them. If you like finesse fishing, definetely give'em a try.
From: Unknown: Decatur, AL 9/3/21
Comments: love these things. From rainbow trout to big bass it gets bit. Tip: let it drop for bigger bass.
From: Unknown: 8/26/21
Comments: Picked up a couple of these packs a few weeks ago. I don't get out a lot to go fishing but, each time these have worked great! I'm also, new to using the Ned rigs and absolutely love them as they work so well. I'll definitely be buying more.
From: Wade: Johnston, IA 8/17/21
Comments: I see the real thing of these salamanders and this is a prefect match. I purchased these for fishing my local river for smallmouth and it will be the perfect match on the 1/16 oz ned head.
From: Unknown: 6/18/21
Comments: Like most I bought these to bed fish, I use them on a shortened drop shot, the buoyancy while on the hook is awesome, they are also very durable
From: Anthony: St. George, UT 5/26/21
Comments: Great bait. Perfect size and action
From: Steve: 4/17/21
Comments: Awesome baits and they last. Love them on the Ned rig. Enjoy
From: Keith: Arizona 4/10/21
Comments: I bought this bait for mainly bed fishing. I fish central Louisiana mainly but make several trips to Texas and Arkansas. It's simple decision while bed fishing to throw the savage gear Ned salamander. Natural salamanders/ water dogs love to eat bass eggs and bass can't stand them. I like to downsize when the bedfishing pressure is high. This product worked well on Caney Lake and Toledo bend when I found them locked on the beds.

Comments: Great baits! Super durable so you donât have to worry about panfish tearing off appendages. Hard to beat on a ned rig!
From: Bobby: Columbus, GA 4/2/21
Comments: I'm liking the Ned Salamander so far. Caught a few fish on them when the bite was tough. They seem very durable as I've caught right around a dozen fish LMB and Small Mouth, crappie on the same one.

Comments: WARNING! Do not put these in any kind of dyes! I ordered these when TW only had chartreuse and pink. So I ordered the chartreuse and used green pumpkin spike it liquid on them. It took the color fairly well then they broke in the middle! I have used spike it on zman an never had that issue. I sent a message to savage gear costumer service and they only responded that the plastic they use doesn't react to chemicals very well. I asked if they would just replace the pack since there is no warnings about using dyes. No response...
From: Brandon: East TN 3/17/21
Comments: These are very small, I'm not saying that's bad, just be prepared. The legs are almost see through. I would stay with the darker colors. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but what's not to like, they will catch fish!
