Overview

Featuring a spinner blade attached to a non-moveable weight on the hook shank, the Owner Flashy Swimmer delivers added flash and fish attraction to your favorite soft swimbait, fluke or other swimming soft plastic. A great option for a search bait, the Flashy Swimmer can cover a lot of water in a short amount of time, providing a quality alternative to the standard crankbait or spinnerbait.

In addition to helping your bait get down into the strike zone quickly, the molded weight attached to the hook shank also keels a rigged soft plastic perfectly at fast or slow retrieves. The #3 hammered nickel finish Willow Leaf Blade is also attached to the stationary weight via a dual mini-swivel and wire, allowing the blade to pivot, but keeping it riding horizontal during a steady retrieve. The Owner TwistLOCK Centering-Pin Spring (CPS) makes accurate rigging easier, and once a fish takes notice, the Super Needle Point Hook with a XX-Strong forged shank and open gap, dishes out serious fish penetration and the strength to turn that big girl back to the boat.

Owner CpsOwner has always been known for quality and here is no different. The different size weight to hook combos and blade options give you endless combos to choose what and how to fish these. Yes most would like to see owner add more weight and hook options which just might happen but this will work for all baits 2.8" and all the way up to 5-6" baits for your underspin needs. Sharp and strong hook with amazing hook up ratio to boot. If you don't have all sizes in your box you are missing out surely.

Extra flash for A-Rigs !These are great by themselves, but when added to Alabama rigs they are unbeatable. Extra flash right where you need it at, the swimbait! Great for windy days and stained water. Good Fishing!

Comments: 5/0 with gold willow and bleugill/bluegill flash largo shad or grub. Caught lots of 2-4 lb bass from Midwest farm pond. Usually struggle to catch any bass in August, but not this year.

From: Unknown: 9/23/23

Comments: I mostly use the 1/8 1/0 size for smaller keitech and largo shads, I feel like they weigh more than advertised but they work great. I like them because it's got a good hook and you can easily slip the blade wire on and off for days you don't need the flash and want a weedless weighted 1/0 hook. The screw locks are small size so I buy medium cps springs to swap them out and I save the small size to screw into thinner drop shot baits, it helps with durability when nose hooking.

From: Simon: Tennessee 9/11/23

Comments: Excellent hooks and even better presentation. 4.5 out of 5. The only suggestion I'd make is to start to produce them with more hook and weight combinations. Sometimes we need a larger hook gap and less weight, and vice versa. Get that going and these will be unstoppable.

From: Unknown: 2/17/23

Comments: used these for a few seasons now, both for striper and largemouth. Went through like 12 of them so far. The wire that connects to the hook area will slip off! you should crimp it down with needle nose pliers before fishing these. It will save you alot of hassle.

From: Unknown: 1/27/23

Comments: I use the 1/0 1/8oz swimmer. These things are killer in both fresh and saltwater. Hook-up ratio is near 100% and losing fish is rare with these killer hooks. Owner makes the best screw lock hands down, but these come with small ones. I recommend buying a pack of owner screws and changing them for medium or large. I put their screws on other brand hooks as well.

From: Flushdraw: South Texas 12/27/22

Comments: Great hooks material-wise. However, the weight difference between 1/4oz 5/0 and 3/16oz 3/0 is only 1/64oz, meaning the 3/16oz is rather a 1/4oz. You only need to buy one version depending on the hook size you need.

From: Marty: 11/29/22

Comments: The best and the only hook I trust for my swimbait. I use primarily the 3/0 3/16oz. It works great from inshore to pond fishing.

From: Andrew: Hong Kong 3/26/22

Comments: Today was my 1st try using the flashy swimmer. I have to give it a 8 out of 10. It's super seedless. I was dragging it through lay downs, rock, and it never snagged. I was concerned about hook up rate due to a pretty large gauge hook, but I didn't miss a single fish. 2 issues though. I would prefer a 4/0 for the 3/8 and 3/0 for the 1/4. I had to use a keitech 4.8 for the 3/8 and it was pushing the limits on how far back on the tail the hook was. I tried a 4 inch but it really slowed the tail action. The other issue is pretty minor. The wire hanging from the weight got bent twice. I bent it back but couldn't get it perfectly straight. Considering the cost is just $5 for 2 though, these are great, just wish the hook offerings were a little smaller.

From: Bill: Cookeville Tn 10/19/21

Comments: Love these things. 5-0 gets constant use. Use them with Kietechs and home made swimbaits .

From: Charles: Texas 10/9/21

Comments: The 1/0 Swimmers are legit with a keitech fat in the smaller sizes, and my go to now over the ned rig, and if you want to target bigger fish size up the hook and keitech and keep on chuggin'. I throw 'em all year long and they can be fished based on water temperature. Other companies are trying mimic the rig but none have came out with the 1/0 hook size. Gama's hooks are good but more expensive. As of righnt now owner's Swimmers are the way to go.

From: Kaden: Pikeville, TN 1/13/21

Comments: I'm new to bass fishing. Just this year started to learn. First time using this rig I caught a 16" very fat smallmouth in the river. The water was clear, and the air was cold. I fished it the way I was taught and got me a reall nice fish in 20 minutes.

From: Kurt - 10/24/20

Comments: 1/0 is great. I love that I can throw weedless small finesse swim baits under three inches. If flash isnt the game the wire comes of easily and it still runs well.

From: Chris: Texas 9/21/20

Comments: I started using these about a year ago. It's a very nice all around lure when used with any swim style bait, but don't limit yourself. Great for kids or newbies because it's very snag proof. This hook setup is very durable, I fish around a lot of rocky structure. Yes the wire will bend but just bend it back. Anyway it's a great lure that I've caught a bunch of fish on. Caught 7pounder yesterday. I bought several packs in the different sizes thinking I would go through them. So far the only losses have be from pike not snags.

From: Unknown: 5/30/20

Comments: I'm a fan of the Flashy Swimmer; the Gamakatsu as well, but those are more expensive. Underspin rigs flat catch bass! I too have had the spinner disengage itself, but not frequently at all... I think it occurred twice. But I have a stash of blades I've removed from dead spinnerbaits, so I attached a small willowleaf with a snap swivel to the baits and they work great. I also have a bunch of screw-lock spinner blades, so I can pretty much create an underspin rig with a regular under weighted EWG screw hook.

From: Herb: Spicewood, TX 5/21/20

Comments: This is a great bait paired with a keitech swing impact fat. I mostly use the 3/0 with a 3.8" keitech. I've had so much success with it that it's my go-to bait (my dad has started using it as a go-to bait also). It's weedless but the willow blade will hang up in ledges and chunk rock. The problem we both seem to have with it is hook-up ratio, even with a medium heavy rod. I don't lose many fish with braid, but with mono I lose more than with other baits. The other issue with the bait is that the willow blade hangs back behind the hook a little much. So, I also get quite a few short strikes where they bite the tail off without getting the hook. It's a great bait, but it would benefit from a better hook and a shorter wire to the willow blade.

From: Robert: Knoxville 11/8/19

Comments: This thing flat out catches fish. If you have a ton of baitfish in your lake/river use this to distinguish your swim bait for the others. I used this for almost a month before it was stolen by a pike :( 10/10 would recommend.

From: Unknown: 9/16/19

Comments: I recently purchased the 1/4oz and there's some features I really like. For example, the changeable spinnerblade with what looks like a Mustad fastach clip and the twist lock keeper for the soft plastic bait. The 5/0 hook is quite stout for a smallmouth's jaw (small wire hooks penetrate better) we'll see how Largies take to it, May have to see what the 3/16oz 3/0 hook to see how thick those hooks are.

From: FishNtheSouthOkanagan78: Southern Okanagan, British Columbia, Canada 6/17/18

Comments: These flat out catch fish. Using Keitech Swimbaits you cant lose. Find the bait, Find the Depth, Run this through the water column and hold on tight.

From: Yaknstein: Cumming, GA 6/11/18

Comments: Phenomenal design on these hooks. Absolutely killer in the sparse pad fields here in Michigan. 4"-5" swimbait fits perfect and holds amazingly well, can easily catch 6-8 fish with a single bait. Great durability as well; can't count the number of times I've dragged and horsed fish through some thick pad fields, or just held on and gone for a sleigh ride in my kayak.

From: Steven: Fenton, MI 6/11/18

Comments: Major flaw, the lead spins on the hook very easy. Hits the water lead turns up and sticks, spinner doesnt work because it is hitting your bait now. Needs to be fixed somehow. Epoxy coat or something to lock the lead in place on the hook.

From: Taylor: Alabama 5/15/18

Comments: Only issue i have with these is after a few good fish the weight thats attatched to the hook comes loose and will turn slightly to the right or left which causes a messed up presentation and wont run straight. I have tried to super glue it in place but it doesnt hold. This sucks because i love them before this happens! I hope they fix this issue!

From: KW: Winter Haven FL  4/17/18

Comments: 5/0 is perfect for 4.8 keitechs and gambler big ez's. Caught my PB today fishing these around shallow rock. They rarely get hung, hook is sharp and stout, not quite the beast ewg but a nice ewg. Hold up well to many fish and stay sharp.

From: Jason: Nashville, TN 3/30/18

Comments: I love these hooks! The flash really seemed to add an extra element to my swimbait! I caught many more fish that my friend who was using a regular weighted hook. I bought 3 packs and after two fishing trips and multiple 3lb - 5lb fish I'm still using the first hook. Zero problems with the spinner breaking or coming off.

From: Kevin Naler: Birmingham, AL 3/3/18

Comments: These are great! I like to use these around steep and big chunk rock that a normal fish head underspin wont come through without snagging. You can crawl it through those big rocks with ease and is a great alternative to a swim jig in the thick stuff! The 3/0 is perfect for the keitech fat 3.8 or the easy shiner 4".

From: Josh: Colorado 7/6/17

Comments: These work great. I read comments below and saw negative feedback. I have used these in the last year and not had any problems. Hook up ratio is good and other than bending the blade arm once or twice they've been trouble free. I keep one tied on at all times now.

From: GetBent: Texas 6/30/17

Comments: Pure awesomeness. Use your imagination with these, the sky is the limit. Your basic run-of-the-mill bass fishermen wont use something like this. if you are looking into these, you are on a different level. Congrats. Save some fish for me.

From: Jay6: USA 9/18/15

Comments: this under spin works! it's a great hooker. I use jackall swim shads (5") with good success on lg mouth bass. it is also a good crappie bait in the 1/o size by itself.

From: Wes: Salinas, CA 5/14/15

Comments: You don't have to worry about these being rugged. I hooked 17 yesterday all on the same head and it still works fine. I was catching fish when no one else could catch anything. I use a Keitech fat as the swimbait. These things glide through the thickest eel grass like nothing. Never hang up. Give them a try you will not be disappointed especially if you have a lot of grass in the lakes you fish.

From: Mike: TX 5/30/14

Comments: This is probably one of my most powerful fishing tools. I was very impressed at the nasty cover this thing could get in and out of (as heavy as 1/4oz weight can get you in). Put on a plastic with good action like an Xzone swammer or Keitech and throw em' anywhere you find fit. The pack may as well have came with only one hook because I still haven't lost one. Very satisfying purchase. Maybe mine were tougher because I only purchased the heavier ones because I've smashed this thing onto a rock after long casts, into people's docks and I've dragged this thing around rocky bottoms plenty of times. Like I said I still have one thats brand new and the one I used has been used very frequently this year (It's been about 3 months and I'm pretty sure I tossed it in once during each of my 7-8 full days of fishing). Not including shorter fishing sessions.

From: Anthony: Toronto, ON, Canada

Comments: smooth. church up your fav bait with this sucka. Goon fish will destroy it...get over it. Why ya think they are always out of stock?

From: mishAp: flashin in my trenchcoat

Comments: I just purchased a couple packs today and the part of the arm that connects to the hook is indeed improved and more durable.  The picture on this site is of the old design.  The new design is twisted and then crimped down to lock it is place.

From: Carter

Comments: I bought 4 packs today and noticed that they have changed the wire to more of a snap at the top.  If you are worried about the blades coming off I have a suggestion.  I took a power swivel and put it on a Norman quick snap which I connect to the ring on the hook.  I then put the split ring and blade on the end of the power swivel.  No more lost blades and you can upsize the blade if you like.  Few $ sets up several of the hooks.  For tournaments, these hooks are very hard to beat.  They are the best I have used for swimbaits in grass such as swinging hammer, money shad, etc.

From: Steve: Auburn, AL

Comments: Maybe I'm just lucky based on the previous reviews. But, I have had no problems with these hooks or the spinners. I used them almost exclusively for weeks at a time and caught dozens of fish with them. The only thing that tore up was the bait. Perhaps I got the only two packs that were made right or they shipped out a bunch of defective ones. Either way, I'm buying more right now.

From: Scott: AR

Comments:I was able to catch 1 fish on each hook before the hanging blade fell off. I would not recommend these to anyone. The hook is great, but the flashy aspect of the rig is flimsy and seems like an afterthought. This is not what I've come to expect from Owner.

From:

Comments:Another comment repeating the lack of durability. These are a cool bait, but they are absolute junk! Same scenario as stated below, if you are thinking of purchasing a package my advice is to save your money!

From:Dave:

Comments:Gabe's comment echoes similar experience(s) I have had with the Flashy Swimmer. Only after a few fishing outings with the lure, I have had four different instances where the wire/blade has come unattached; forever lost to a watery grave, reducing the flashy swimmer to just a keel weighted hook. Owner usually design's their products with great care and impeccable attention to detail!

Gabe is correct: "it's my opinion that the wire that coils up and connects to the ring needs to coil around a least one more time". A design flaw Owner Inc. needs to acknowledge and fix. Or, start selling packages of these wire/blade attachments so at least I'll have a replacement once the original has fallen off!

From:Matt: Massachusetts, MA

Comments:Blade came off after 1hr of fishing. I worked the bait slow and on the bottom with only a few times knocking into tules. No major hang-ups so I am a little shocked that the entire bottom assembly came undone like that. After taking a closer look at the construction it's my opinion that the wire that coils up and connects to the ring needs to coil around a least one more time.
