Overview
Designed for heavy cover flipping applications, the VMC Flippin Hook features an injected bait holder with double spikes to secure any soft plastic in place while diving through thick vegetation. The VMC Flippin Hook also features smooth epoxy resin that closes the hook eye, and prevents line from slipping through or getting damaged and in addition to being extremely sharp, the VMC Flippin Hook was also designed to have the optimum space between the eye and the injected bait holder to allow either snelled or standard rigging.

Comments: I like the hook sharp nice bait keeper. But the barb is too small and not very sharp. every fish I catch the hook falls right out not enough there to keep the fish pinned.

Comments: The hook itself is good but the keeper will slide down the hook or crack after a bunch of fish. Will do in a pinch, not terrible for the money. Remember to buy one size up as VMC sizes run small.

Comments: The hooks are really good for heavy cover. The bait keepers are a tad bulky but it is alright. The snell knot is key.

Comments: Was not sold on these immediately but as soon as I started tying the snell knot,my hooking percentage went way up. You won't believe that knot makes a difference until you try it! The keeper barb is a bit large but the hook is plenty strong and will never move a bit on big fish and hard hooklets

Comments: As is already stated these hooks run about one size small. However, these are very good hooks. These were my go to hook for flipping beavers into wood and weeds. I really liked that these hooks come in smaller sizes because sometimes I need to flip small beavers, yet need a beefy hook. The bait keeper also did not once slide down the shank like happened with the Gamakatsu I've also thrown. I will be buying more for the coming year.

Comments: excellent hook with a really great bait-keeper system that truly holds. Also closed up epoxied-shut eyelet so no line will slip out. only thing I will warn: THESE HOOKS RUN A FULL SIZE SMALL...the 4/0 size is same, if not smaller than a 3/0 gamakatsu straight shank flippin hook and other straight worm hooks. The hook shank is plenty beefy but I don't understand why 4/0 is largest they have and it's truly a 3/O by anyone's standard's...I guess u need to bump up to the VMC "ike approved" Heavy Duty flippin hook to get the bigger sizes but I do not know if these also "run small". If so, size up. If you want a true 4/O, go 5/O. If you want a true 2/O, then get a 3/O. Up-size by 1 O size.

Comments: Pair this hook with a Denali Rosewood flippin rod and you've got the best set up money can buy
