Designed for extra shallow conditions and spooky fish, the Series 1XS adds to the versatility of the Strike King crankbait lineup. This lightweight bait with a medium wobble cast extremely well for its size. Designed to be fished slow or fast, it tracks true at any speed and features the free floating rattles which are inherent to all Strike King pro-designed crankbaits.
The Strike King Pro Model Series 1XS Crankbait was one the baits KVD used to secure his fifth Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year at the Evan Williams Bourbon Trophy Triumph on the Alabama River in Montgomery, Ala. Kevin VanDamn's two-day total of 30-06 was almost 8 pounds better than second-place Tommy Biffle, giving KVD the AOY title by a mere six points over Skeet Reese.

Comments: I use these side by side with the sk kvd 1.5 shallow. I let the fish tell me whether they want silent or rattles. The sk series 1xs is a great crankbait for the super shallows that has a rattle. Stock hooks are trash, switch them out for something better.

Comments: I three of these when I was just getting into cranking. I must say that I have not been disappointed by their performance. I fish the river for smallmouths and this bait is an excellent presentation that has produced strikes time after time. (People usually look at me like I'm nuts cranking in the river and losing these left and right sometimes, but it is worth losing one or two), Best advice though if you purchase, do change the hooks or you may lose some of your best fish as I learned the hard way. For the durability(6/10), price(8/10), performance(9/10).

Comments: You'd be surprised! One of the BEST shallow crankbaits I've used! Put 2 #4 KVD short shank trebles on it & caught bass all day! Chartreuse Sexy Shad in stained water worked best for me. Thanks Tackle Warehouse!
