Comments: I'm sharing my experiences with strike king crankbaits. I have been a strike king fan for many years but in the past 3 years I have had 9 baits from 1.5 square bills to 5DXs crank open down the spine and inflate like a balloon. I don't leave my gear in a hot boat or sunlight either, my tackle goes in the house when I get home from fishing; if all the other brands I've purchased, not one lure has cracked open like the strike king lures. I personally will never spend another cent on Strike King.

Comments: Is great for flipping. Also, have used it on buzzbait to imitate bream or shad on surface. Favorite rig is to rig it rage rig method and use it to comb through the weeds. Great weightless to imitate dying fish too flipping cover or rip raps. Imitates the forage well. Sad you only get 4 for the price and be nice if they a tad bit stronger to hold up longer.

Comments: Like them for offshore cranking and they did acceptingly well. Can cast far with these is why I like them. Action is not too wide but not tight either. Use these to crank 1-2' off the bottom so they are not actually grinding the bottom and get more reaction strikes this way. Simply switch to the XD series if I need them to grind bottom or thinner line diameter works too. A size for desired depths.
Comments: Please dont throw them series 4's away, send em to me! Seriously though, if you've still got em, all they need is a little tuning. The series 4 is a really wide wobbling bait, if they're not tuned just right they'll definitely run off on you. Just take a pair of pliers and slightly bend the line tie to the opposite direction that the bait is running off on and you should be just fine. A small adjustment goes a long way though!

Comments: I bought 8 different Series 4 and NONE of them ran right. They were all off. I figured I got a bad batch so I bought 6 new ones and NONE of them ran right either. These suck. I use all of Strike Kings XDs and Series 5 and catch a lot of fish on those but Im throwing all my Series 4s away and going with something else.

Comments: Best crank bait ever! (HCX3D-656) Chart Root beer is my favorite. Crank baits do crack when you hit rocks they are plastic. I did lose one eye after catching 31 smallmouth that I caught in less than 10 days out of the 40 plus that my wife and I have bought over the last 4 years. Tackle Ware house check our passed history! Today I'm ordering 10 more. I have fished for over 43 years ,I love giving these bait to my friends and there kids. There is nothing like seeing a young kid coming up to and bragging about the biggest bass they ever caught on a bait you gave them, Like other review this has got us in the money, and never leave the house with out having two on my favorite rod and ready. I would love to take Kevin Vandamn on the lake and show him how to use his on bait. LOL

Comments: Up here in Ontario the series 5 is killer on large lakes (most of our lakes are shallower and extremely weedy). Not so much for smallies but largemouth bass love them and Ive even caught some monster pike on them I seem to always catch something these lures are unreal for the price which is why I love Strike King!
From: David: Toronto 3/29/18
Comments: I've read every one of the previous reviews. For the life if me, I don't understand the negative reviews. I know there will be bad baits in every bunch but these Strike Kings have turned me into a crankbait fisherman. I never put my boat in the water and not have a Strike King crankbait on the deck. Most of the time two, ready to go. All they do is catch fish, PERIOD.
From: Scott: Canton, Ga 5/14/17
Comments: They are fantastic, most of them come tuned out of the box, and even if the bait isn't tuned it takes a few moments to tune it, no big deal, seriously. Fantastic for the money.
From: Michael: Bayonne, NJ 5/3/14
Comments: Been fishing SK Promodels for a long time. Probably buy 20-30 each season. Never once have I had one break, crack, chip, lose an eye, or need any significant tuning out of the box. I change the hooks and they are ready to catch em. I do indeed wear the bill out destroy the paint but that's fishing. Have no idea how/why there are bad reviews. They wear out but dont break and they are the gold standard of action. From: Nate: Washington
Comments: Ordered 3 and they all needed to be tuned and the ring breaks if you adjust too many times. ='(
From: Tyrone: Conway Chain Florida
Comments: Really nice cranks for a cheap price. Killed spots the other day with the series 3. Best color by far is green gizzard shad. Best crank for the moneyFrom: Will: Alabama
Comments: bought a green tomato and blue chartreuse in series 5 and after one fishing trip it crack on the top eye to the butt...it only take one mistake to never buy strike king crankbait From: Michael: California
Comments: All I can say i Ca-Ching!!!! Don't listen to the haters. This thing has had us in the money 3 out fo 4 tourneys this year. From: Chucknwind: Grand Rapids, MI
Comments: First cast a sunfish hits it and cracks the body. Next time I cast another one out and I hit if off some rocks then the bill brakes off. So I just switched to my lucky craft and caught a 6-pound bass right off the bass. These strike kings suck. Get a lucky craft!
Comments: When they run true they do catch fish and work bottom cover well, but not my favorite for getting through deep timber. Also about 1/5 are wildly out of tune - getting hung up effects the tuning of these baits more than others. Hard to beat the look of their shad patterns though.
From: MJ: Oklahoma city, OK
Comments: Awesome cranks and a great value. Never have I had one that didn't run perfect out of the box and I've bought dozens of these baits, from the Series 1XS to the Series 6XD. Change the hooks, tie em on, you'll catch fish if there's fish in the area. Anybody who'd rather pay $15 for one Japanese crank when you can buy 3 of these is nuts.
From: BassinK9: Adairsville, GA
Comments: These are my go-to crank. Have never had a problem with one running out of tune even after grinding it into rocks all day. Great bait. And catch tons of fish and bigguns. From: Cory: North Dakota, USA
Comments: These run fine. Use series 5 and 6 on Upper Chesapeake with no problems. Sexy Sunfish is my favorite.
From: Paul: Maryland, USA
Comments: These are the best crankbaits I have a lot of confidence in these baits the do need some tuning and if you beat it on rocks it will crack on under the lip but for the price you can't beat them I personally perfer strike king anyday over luckcraftFrom: Jason: West Virginia, USA
Comments: By far the worst quality crankbait I have ever purchased. The crankbait was so far out of tune, it wouldn't even dive. Lure just ran sideways and cavitated every ten feet. This is the second of two that have run terrible. Spend the money and get a Lucky Craft, or even a Bomber would be much better. KVD must have the "special edition" ones, because these things are not worth purchasing.
From: Brad: New Braunfels, TX
Comments: Half of my series 6's sink like a rock after about 10 min of use. The other half need to be tuned. Only 1 in 4 run good out of the package. Buy a crankbait from a diff. company! From: Adam: Wisconsin, USA
Comments:This bait will catch fish with no problem, it just needs the hooks changed.
