The Roboworm Straight Tail Worms have become a staple for finesse fishing, harkening back to the days of the 'hand poured' finesse worms so popular on the West Coast more than a decade ago. The Straight Tail Worms are surprisingly effective, especially during the warmer months when fish pressure and boat traffic are at their peak. Roboworm uses state-of-the-art robotic technology (hence the name Robo-worm) to create consistent, well-defined colors every time. It also allows them to create unique color combinations, usually only found in 'hand poured' worms. The super soft plastic Strait Tail Worms end up having a very sensitive, alluring action complete with a Salt Release System that provides a burst of salt when a fish bites ' causing them to hold on longer for solid hooksets.
The 4.5" and 6" Straight Tail Worms are great for dropshotting and any finesse technique you care to try. For a larger presentation try Texas-rigging the beefy 7" Worm. No matter what your favorite worm technique is or where you fish, there's a Roboworm Straight Tail Worm that will put fish in your boat when it counts.
(7" worms have "rib lines")
Comments: The fact that a lot of people back East don't use this is mind boggling. This is THE BEST worm besides the Senko type bait. The 4 inch is the best worm for drop shotting on earth, and the 6 inch is great for that too and Shakey heads and you could probably Neko rig it too but I've never tried myself. No specific colors work better than others. Eventually you will find your favorite color, usually some type of purple or green. My favorite right now is Aaron's Morning Dawn and it has slayed bedding fish. Go get a pack or 5!

Comments: Its the best worm and everyone knows it. PLEASE BRING BACK THE FX 6IN ROBOWORM!
From: Jonathan: CA 1/30/23
Comments: Jareds tip on putting pautski fire gel in the bag and leaving in the sun for a few minutes. Work it in and have at it has brought me back to roboworms. Scented and not stuck together. What a great nuget.
From: larry: Middleboro, MA 11/5/22
Comments: A great dropshot worm. Love this for fishing weedlines and catches some really nice fish. Very impressed with this bait.
From: Dylan: Minnesota 2/4/22
Comments: There's just something about this worm in Aaron's Magic that just catches them. The colors, action, and salt in these worms are phenomenal. Get a pack or several, you won't regret it!
From: Unknown: North Carolina 1/5/22
Comments: Great for shakey head. Started throwing these in Margarita Mutilator color on an Owner 3/16oz green pumpkin shakey head jig and really getting bit. They just seem to get more bites than Zoom Trick Worms or any other finesse work I try.
From: Baron: Holly Springs 11/22/21
Comments: Love the Worms; very productive and solid array of colors; I would make these my primary finesse worm except the packaging is horrible. Those flimsy, non-resealable bags have to go. I've transferred them to other bags to prevent them from oozing their oils/liquids on boxes; just too much work to stay organized. I'm sure the company has been made aware but come on Roboworm; get it together; you have the BEST Worm with the WORST packaging..From: Unknown: Texas 12/31/20
Comments: Roboworm is my go-to drop shot bait. Vary color based on water clarity and depth fishing, but I've ripped lips with all 8 colors I've used! From: Mike: Ohio 11/8/20Comments:Probably THE BEST drop shot bait period. I know all the flat worm craze lately but it seems I catch fish 3:1 on these. I live in middle Tennessee so mine lakes aren't exactly St. Clair or anything but these kill on the Tennessee River. From: K: Tennessee 9/16/20
Comments:Dropshot with morning dawn color will almost always work, even in pressured ponds. I've some good fish and small ones too. Just jig the rod tip once, twice, or even more and then allow slack line for a second or two and then repeat. This technique works really well for me. The brown color with the red flakes is not too bad eitherFrom:Unknown: 8/21/19
Comments:Great product terrible packaging once you open them either use them all or put them in a new bag they dry out instantly and loose all the salt and become very hard to where the action sucks but other wise they work don't get me wrong. From:Kyle: NY 7/7/19
Comments:Absolutely deadly for drop shots, and just to say that in one day I caught a 6lb 6oz a 3lb 10 oz and a 3lb 8 oz. I'm in my 50's and bass fished for many years and I must say that I hated to use a drop shot because my confidence was at the lowest point until I started watching Aaron Martens and Brent Ehrler on youtube about their techniques and it made a huge difference. The funny thing is that I ran out of my 8lb fluoro for my leader before I rigged it the night before so I used a 10lb leader with a 3/16 tungsten weight hoping that it would work properlybut was I glad because the 6 pounder made my leader abrasive and I could have probably lost the fish otherwise. I also like to neko rig the roboworms they are just awesome worms.
From: Indiana:6/22/19
Comments:Proven product time after time. Just cannot beat the Robo Straight Tail. I've used the fat straight tails with little to no success. Something about the old fashion straight tails just get bit. You color of choice depending where you're from and what kind of waters but I have found any of the purple or pink worms work wonders! Roboworms are my go to drop shot bait.
From: Scott:California9/6/18
Comments:Best worm out there . You seriously can't go wrong with roboworm. Being from Socal, this is all we use, and it catches biggins. The colors, the action, and the overall quality, is what makes it an excellent work. The 6in straight tail is by far the most versatile out there. Of course it's a go-to dropshot worm, but it works great for finesse shakey head, and Texas rig techniques. But a superior worm when it comes to dropshoting. The 7in straight tail is an excellent work for bigger shakeyheads and Texas rigs. My favorite colors are oxblood light, green pumpkin, Aaron's magic, Aaron's green pumpkin, and people's work.
From: Day:California 9/3/18
Comments:This is one of my favorite worms to fish on a shakeyhead. Everyone tells me they are good dropshot baits but I don't throw those super often. I will say they aren't durable as some of the other brands I use, but to last a few squeaker largies is pretty good still. I will for sure keep these baits on me when I fish.
From: Joshua:Holland6/1/18
Comments:These catch fish, period. I was smallie fishing with a few of my buddies on the monocasy river and we couldent catch anything that day. We had a few bites on spinners but that was all. These were laying in the bottom of my box so I wacky riged 1 and within 5 casts i had 3 fish. The rest of the evening these were on fire and my buddies switched over to them as well great product order some!!!! (green pumpkin)
From: Austin:MD 5/31/18
Comments:I used to make fun of these worms with their skinny body and funky colors. Then one day I went fishing to the Texas Hill Country. I normally use Zoom finesse worms and I caught fish on these in the shallow ultra clear rivers that are popular down there. I thought I was doing well with the Zoom baits. Then one day I said Heck and bought a couple of bags. I packed them in my light fishing gear and forgot about them. I went down in the early fall went it was just starting to get cool and I started chunking Zoom. It was alright. I thought well it's slow so time to try one of them Robo Worms. Night and day I tell you. I ended up running out of worms and kicking myself for only bringing 2 bags. Ever since then I pack these worms heavy in my light tackle and they go everywhere. Never again will I doubt these skinny worms with their funky colors.
From: Skysoldier173rdABN: Mesquite, Texas 1/26/18
Comments:Roboworm has had problems with their colors fading, but have been very responsive when I called to tell them. They replaced the number of faded out bags I had with new ones. Their customer service is Top Notch, as well as their worms. Roboworm is a great company.
From: Mike: Tucson AZ 12/10/17
Comments:Just fished these the past couple of days. Its apparent that they now lose their color rapidly compared to the bag I had left over from last year. Same lake and exactly the same time of year. The new bag rapidly faded in the sunlight.
From: Gilbert: Las Vegas 10/22/17
Comments:I have been using these for years and have caught countless bass on them. They appear to have a quality issue now I have not experienced in the past. If exposed to UV light the color fades very quickly. The morning dawn color becomes so muted you won't recognize it. I even went to a local store and the pack at the end of the bar was faded while the ones at the back were not. Sunlight washes them out very quickly. I now have 4 packs that are worthless because I keep them in a plano box opened on my boat deck ready to go.
From: Mark: Reynoldsburg, Ohio 10/17/17
Comments: Best drop shot bait, get yourself some in prizm perch and your set for life, i have no idea what the other reviews are talking about with durability i can get about 10-15 fish per worm just gotta keep biting off the head they still catch just as many fish even as short as 3"
From: Conner: Greene, NY 10/16/17
Comments: This is my favorite dropshot bait hands down. Time after time it catches fish. I'm starting to wonder why I own any other finesse baits. Morning Dawn is all you need. I catch fish in any water clarity with it.
From: Gene: Minneapolis, MN 7/21/17
Comments: I have many of the Robo models. The 6" straight tail is your go to drop shot, shakey or split shot worm. Aaron's magic or morning dawn are what you need. These worms flat out catch fish. NOT durable but who gives a rip when you are wacking them
From: Steve :Iowa 6/30/17
Comments:BEST FINESSE WORM. Got a pack of the 6" inch black grape and used them on a pack of 1/8" jewel baits shakey heads. I fish a heavily pressured small lake and these things pulled through so well everytime. I prefer the black grape in fairly murky water unless you're fishing chocolate milk (in which case I recommend morning dawn chartreuse tip) and hold on. I also clip the tip of the nose off when I put it on a shakey head so it sits flush (I'm picky). The salt content is great and releases as the fish bites instead of just being sprinkled on the surface like other finesse baits. Fairly soft ... 1-3 fish per worm. They also tend to pick it up and run with it.
From: Ben: St. Charles, Illinois 5/7/17
Comments:Is there anything else to drop shot with? I mean really. Prism Shad, Oxblood Red Flake, Margarita Mutilator, Aaron's Magic and Bold Bluegill. There's your drop shot box. If they're not eating those they're not on a drop shot. Next!
From: MetatronStar: Hollywood 4/5/17
Comments:This is a great drop shot bait. Green pumpkin & aaron's magic in both 4.5" & 6" are my go-to baits. At one of my favorite piers, a lot of people took to throwing drop shots after seeing me pull fish up. This worm regularly outperformed whatever they were throwing. Durability is an issue, but I'd rather be catching fish than trying to save money and not catching anything. <12" I can get 1-3 fish per worm >12" is pretty much a fish per worm.
From: C: WA 9/16/16
Comments:When it comes to a drop-shot bait this worm is still the king. I've become a huge fan of this technique & have spent literally hundreds of dollars on all the "best" drop-shot baits out there & this is still #1. You simply can't beat the way this worm floats up & shimmy's in the water with the slightest twitch. Absolutely deady! Plenty of colors to choose from. True, they're not the most durable but the same plastic formulation that makes them delicate is what also makes them the best.
From: Hydrilla Gorilla: Lake Seminole, GA 8/31/16
Comments:The owner 3/16th shakey head & prism 4-1/2" shad is all you need for clear water smallies i wacked them today on this setup time to order more bags of only one color the shad spawn is on and this is only one you need period!
From: Tommy: USA 5/8/16
Comments:This straight up catches fish. I throw Green Weenie or any Oxblood color in 4.5" & wacky rig it & the fish can't stand it. They basically bite it as it hits the water. Definitely my favorite plastic.
From: PJ: Chicago, IL 10/5/15
Comments:I fish highly pressured lakes, and the Roboworm catches fish other anglers wish they could. It is the deadliest in 6" on a dropshot. The best 2 colors I have found have been Bold Bluegill and Morning Dawn. Definitely grab yourself a pack of these, you won't be disappointed.
From: Seth: St. Louis, MO 9/8/15
Comments:I have used several, but the straight tail roboworm on a finesse drop shot rig is simply great. It is as if the two were meant for each other. I am sure there are others, and I have had success with some of them, but this is what I use almost exclusively now excepting some experimentation with others. I need to try the longer robos on T-Rigs and other presentations to see if they have the same magic.
From: Brad: Forth Worth, TX 8/20/15
Comments:By far the number one plastic bait I've ever used. It is a little flimsy but I caught 13 bass yesterday. I use a slider jig 1/4 ounce and it works great. The color I was using was morning dawn chartreuse. Definitely will buy more.
From: Zach: Indianapolis, IN 7/12/15
Comments:Love these worms. Especially the morning dawn chartreuse color. They work amazing in low visibility water. Only downside is that they arent very durable. On a good day of fishing youll lose 2 orb3 so i definitely reccomend mend-it for puting the worms back together.
From: Jake: Grosse ile, MI 7/7/15
Comments:By far the best worms on the market, tons of action, great colors, and great taste that make the fish want to keep it in their mouths. I prefer the 4.5" for dropshot, but like the 7" for everything else that I use a worm for. You can even fish this weightless, keep your rod tip up, and as soon as it hits the water start reeling in making jerking it along the surface-finesse surface bait.
From: Levi: Temecula, CA 5/14/15
Comments:Use the FAT version for shakey heading. Awesome worms that work everywhere. Robo pretty much put all the garage handpour guys out of biz.
From: Jay6: USA 1/28/15
Comments:By far the best drop shot worm made. Catches them when nothing else will. Morning dawn, Aaron's morning dawn, and Aaron's magic are my best. Only negative is the durability isn't that great, but ill trade a worm for a good fish any day.
From: Will: AL 10/12/14
Comments:Best finesse worm out there. Easily have 15-20 different colors in my boat. Top producers for me are morning dawn with the hot tip, bold blue gill, aarons magic, mean green, salt craw, and kerrlicious. Pick some up.
From: Matt: AZ 8/7/14
Comments:There is a reason that people measure the quality of other soft plastic worms against Roboworms: because Roboworms catch fish. Though they excel on drop shot rigs, I have found that Texas rigging them on a 3/0 hook produces more quality fish. Please, if anything, buy a pack of bold bluegill. If you have the dough, also get Aaron's Pro Magic, New Ayu, Warmouth, and Margarita Mutilator. These worms are for real.
From: Matty: KY 7/20/14
Comments:Outstanding drop shot worm. They are not very durable and more expensive than other finesse worms but you can catch 2-3 fish per worm. When you do the math, each bait costs less than .25 a fish...100% worth it in my book.
From:Richard: TX 4/18/14
Comments:This is the ultimate drop shot & shakey head bait. I catch so many fish on this worm that it is unreal, most fish are in the 1-3lb range but I have caught bigger fish on this too. There are so many colors to choose from that it is easy to find the color that you are looking for. My favorite color is Aarons Magic red & blue flake. If that bite is tough I dip the end of the tail in JJ's magic and that tends to solve the problem. The only issue that I have is the durability, but who cares about durability if you are slaying the bass.
From:Brandon: MN
Comments:Do yourself a favor and pick up some Ehlers Edge colored roboworms. The color mimics a bluegill perfectly in the water. Like most people say, they tear up easily and work great on a shaky head. I would recommend carrying some worm glue to make sure the head stays on the bait keeper cause it will slide down after a fish or so. I don't mind because i keep my torn baits and use the smaller sections when fishing is tough and they want a smaller presentation. A must have for any finesse fisherman.
From:Jeremy: Dover, DE
Comments:Great worm with a shakey head..If none of the Zoom in the tackle box are producing try the bold bluegill.Only problem is they tear up easily. You will be lucky to get 2 fish out of one worm but nonetheless they are my go-to worm on Lake Lanier when the shakey head bite is on.
From:Curt: Buford, GA
Comments: Great bait for finesse fishing. It worked very well for pressed basses. I absolutlly recommend them. Aarons magic color worked very well for me.From: Quino: Sevilla, Spain
Comments:This is one of the best baits i have found for drop shot fishing, this bait works fantastic in warm and cold water. This has become one of my favorites and a go-to bait for me i always have one tied on. I have caught so many huge fish using roboworms. The three best colors i have had success on are aarons pro magic, Pro blue blue neon bisp, and margarita mutilator.
From: Matthew: NC
Comments: You have to give up durability for action like that. The bass in my pond can't get enough of these things. You are not going to find color or action like that from any of the bigger brands. The other ones may last through more fish, well if you can catch any on them. From: Richard: Jacksonville, FL
Comments:Great worms. Next best thing to a custom hand-pour ive used. Yeah, they tear...they are finesse worms, what do you expect. I figure one worm per fish is worth it to me. i toss the ripped ones in my bag and fix them with mend-it on a later date. Wish they had bigger worms available. Great color selection. Dropshotting Bold bluegill and blue crawl have been great producers when the bite is tough.
From: Mike: SoCal
Comments:I fish the margarita mutilator 6" at a local pond nose hooked with a circle hook, and I have to say, this bait is amazing. If there are any fish in the general vicinity of the cast, they'll hit it only a few seconds after it hits the water. My only complaint would be that it is not at all durable, but as Rusty said, if they were more durable, they probably wouldn't have the same quivering action that the fish love.
From: Nicholas: CA
Comments: get real everybody if they were made more durable you would never get the action you get the consistancy of these worms is second to none so soft and even when dead sticking them they still wiggle and quiver best worm period .From: Rusty: MI
Comments: not a big fan of how easily they tear up or the packaging but they do catch fish no doubt. i like the 4.5 inch for a drop shot and the 6 and 7 inch on a shaky head From: Tristan: Hoover, AL
Comments:Like everyone else says these worms are great!!! I love the amount of colors and the price is reasonable. What makes these worms perform is also its downfall; if you have a fish shake its head or jump out of the water there goes your worm. Will I still purchase, oh heck yes. To make them a bit more durable I apply a nice coat of mend it glue on the nose ; )
From: Brett: Rochester, NY
Comments:These have got to be the best drop shot bait out there. The action of these worms on a drop shot rig is outstanding! I can catch fish with these on even the hardest days. The colors are amazing and they are so soft and supple. They are priced reasonably as well, so don't hesitate to buy a bunch!
From: Keegan: IA
Comments: This worm has let me catch fish where others are not. It has changed my whole technic for bass fishing. I cannot put it down 'cause nothing else produces like it. 6" New Ayu. Going on 9 years of it.
From: Ryan: Cedar City, Utah
Comments:amazing drop shot baits. I caught a 4 pounder on this bait at kentucky lake when i was drop shottin with it. I was usind aarons magic and let me tell ya they are far better than any drop shot bait ive ever used
From: Jared: KY
Comments:Clear water, smack em!! There is one color on TW that has won me ALOTT of money. Drop-shot it, shakyhead it, reverse it, wacky-rig it. I like to drop shot it. Feel not for ticks, but for pressure as the fish swims off with the worm.
From: Aeolian: Kalamazoo
Comments: Only worm you need for a drop shot! When bites are tough try wacky rigging it instead of texas or nose hooking. It looks strange but blue crawler is my best color. From: Will: Benton Harbor, MI
Comments: My favorite worm, hands down! I used it to put more largemouth in the boat than both of my buddies last week. Aaron's magic onsistently performs well for me. From: Steve: So Cal
Comments: Most consistent worm on the market for largies ad smallies. really made of a soft plastic which allows fish to inhale them and hold on...shakey head or split shot them and you'll get bit.
From: Adam: Costa Mesa
Comments:one of my favorite worms, this worm outpeform all fineese worm, colors, salt, bounancy is perfect, i use it for shaky head, spilt shot, tx rigging i have over 50 different colors of roboworm and different sizes, cannot stop buying those worms
From: Tyler: Baltimore, MD
Comments: Great worm I use the 4.5 inch worm for drop shot and the 7 inch worm texas rigged and do great not very durable but they catch fish
From: Kodee: CA
Comments:This is the best finesse worm made. Deadly for drop shot and have also caught bass texas rigging the 4.5 inch worm. Current favorite color is red craw and red crawler.
From: Emmanuel: Tucson, AZ
Comments:Best shakey head worm i've ever used. Works on every lake i've fished. From tournaments to just fun fishing, I keep one of these worms rigged on the deck of my boat.
