Overview
The highly technical Mikey is one of the latest top-of-the-line Japanese hard baits to reach the U.S. Jackall baits are created using the latest materials and design technology. The prototype of each of these lures is designed on a computer to generate a 3D image of the lure, which is then cut into the actual bait in a matter of minutes. This process allows Jackall to get the lure from idea to design to creation much faster, enabling them to get the baits into the hands of their pro staff in a matter of days or hours. This gives Jackall a great advantage; they are able to tweak a lure to perfection and present it for sale much faster than their competitors. Jackall is raising bass fishing to a whole new level with this sophisticated technology and their new materials and designs.
The Mikey topwater bait is the latest evolution of a design developed in Japan and working well in the U.S. These lures will swim along the top of the water with a wide fishy motion and leave a wake that will direct a bass' attention to what is making the commotion - your lure. The Jackall Mikey is a three section bait with three ultra-sharp hooks that will swim with a lifelike action. The sections knock against each other, producing a noise that bass seem to love, and there are loud metal ball bearings in each section that will produce a noisy, higher pitched rattle. The finish on the Mikey is superb and all the hardware is first class. Mikey is a top-of-the-line topwater walking bait and deserves to be in the boxes of all serious anglers.

Comments: I have only used the Jr. version of this bait. It seems to work best for me in a slight current, for whatever reason, so have mostly used it on rivers. It doesn't cast terribly well for an expensive bait. Overall it does what it is supposed to, but I didn't find it much better than a jointed Rapala, which is about half the price.

Comments: Fresh water fishing here in California using the Chartreuse Shad pattern Jr. This lure gets smoked on calm waters and has good swimming action with a slow retrieve. You can also work it fast and then pause it and repeat. Haven't caught any giants with it yet but in terms of fish bite rate its high and im really confident with it. I've also had success with it in rivers and aqueducts with slow moving waters. Lure patterns and visual looks way better in person the pictures doesn't do it justice. Only problem i have with this lure is paint durability is not good i took this lure out to the aqueduct in the morning and everything was smashing it so now my lure has some white spots here and there cuz paint gets scratched. Still highly recommend though it will catch fish.

Comments: took this lure out next day after receiving it and i was on a roll catching spotties and smallies on a river this lure looks great has tons of action river is clear and shallow I can see the spotties fighting for this lure its funny and unbelievable. Probably will buy another one for color option in future and buy for friends and family members.

Comments: I have to say, in 2015, this has become my absolute favorite wakebait-producing a 6lber in NJ on first day of usage. The action is unparalleled and bass absolutely SMASH this thing! Would 100% recommend getting a few of these. Oh and big-medium-small--they all hit this lire

Comments: I'm disappointed in the quality of this lure. The foil on it began to peel off after one trip. Hook rash was responsible for peeling away the foil, since no fish was caught. >HL Aurora Black SR.<

Comments: Purchased the Mikey SR. in the trout color and replaced the tail hook with a feathered hook and it raised the bite/hookup ratio a lot.

Comments: Using this bait in the summer time is the best. Its simple to use and can be fish almost anywhere. I use the Jr size in sexy shad, aurora black, and tennessee shad on a 7'0 daiwa Flex-X-lite and once i'm on the fish which is not hard, its difficult for me to use anything else. I'm planning to buy chartreuse shad and HL aurora black in standard size from here soon!

Comments: I kept hearing about this bait from one of my facebook friends. I bought both the Standard and Jr. size. They are absolutely dangerous when fishing over grass beds or timber. I called up some nice largemouth from using the standard size. The Jr. size looks awesome too, but I just have not been able to put the Standard down enough to try the Jr. seriously. This is one of those baits that is really good to have in your tackle box -- buy with confidence.

Comments: Used the Mikey Jr. HL Sunfish color for about 3 hours and got 8 bass to bite it in that period of time, but only landed 4 of them, had a bit of a hard time getting the hook fully set for some reason. Great bait though, awesome swimming motion.

Comments: I have both the Mikey and the Mikey JR in chartreuse shad. Great action with a fast or slow retrieve. Perfect wakebait to throw around the docks, boulders and chuck rock here at Lake of the Ozarks.
Comments: Excellent swimbait. It ungulates nicely in the water. Great for use over submerged weed beds. The Jr. size has been particularly productive for me.
