Overview
As the name implies, the U-40 Cork Seal actually seals the cork on your fishing rod handles and increases the durability to ensure long lasting performance. To apply the U-40 Cork Seal, simply brush a single coating along the surface of the cork and allow it to dry. As it dries, the U-40 Cork Seal will soak into the cork, enhancing the durability and giving your rods added protection against premature deterioration.
In addition, the U-40 Cork Seal also enhances the "cork feel" and makes it easy to remove grime and fish residue with a simple wipe down. Fishing rods can be a serious investment and no one knows that better than the folks at U-40, which is why the U-40 Cork Seal is designed to elongate the life of your fishing rod and protect your hard earned money.

Comments: If you have cork on your fishing rods, I highly recommend using it. I always apply a light coat of U-40 on my new rods. After the end of the fishing season/winter time I clean the cork on my rods with a Magic Eraser, let the rods dry overnight apply fresh U-40. It keeps your equipment in great condition.

Comments: Amazing product! It is such a great investment for your rods. I am adding this to the review just so other people do not make the mistake I did... it says to just put one coat on but I HIGHLY recommend putting 2. It does penetrate enough with one coat. On a new rod I put one light coat then wait about a hour or longer if you like and then put another light coat (you can tell when it dries). I noticed 1 coat does not absorb enough. I put 2 coats on my new NRX and Conquest and it's been about 2 weeks and it's perfect. The one NRX rod I only put one light coat basically wore off in a few fishing trips. Honestly you could probably even put 3 coats. I think ever cork is a little different depending on the wood filler or whatever they put on it when they finish the cork with. So my experience with G. Loomis cork is you need at least 2 light coats. It looks normal also. It's not shiny or glossy with 2 coats.

Comments: Amazing. Cleaned 30 rods with the mr. clean magic eraser and then used this stuff. Some of the rods were a year or two old and some were about 15 years old and every one looks new in color and feels fantastic. I bet one jar will do 100 rods. doesn't take much at all. Almost all my rods are Falcon or Dobyns rods almost all have full cork handle grips. P.S. buy this.

Comments: This product is a life saver for your fishing rods. If your going to spend a car payment on a rod, why wouldn't you spend $5 on a little care for your cork handles? If your using it on a old rod, use a baby wipe to clean the handles really good first before you apply.

Comments: Fantastic product I put it on all of my cork handled rods. Makes clean up much easier, and provides a little better grip. Glad to see tackle warehouse is carrying it now.
